1  Economy / Economics / Re: Will governments create their own cryptocurrency that will replace fiat? on: August 24, 2017, 01:16:06 PM
It is in government's best interest to replace fiat currencies with digital ones as this will eliminate illegal activity. Taxes will have to be paid because the government will be able to track all transactions. Why wouldn't governments want this?

I actually think COSS is a good project . it has a working product (unlike most of the ICOs around here). I hope it gets more attention.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple (XRP) rising? on: August 23, 2017, 10:28:17 AM
I think this price increase occurred due to the rumours of a partnership with Alibaba - which would be huge if true.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Upcoming ICOs on: August 23, 2017, 05:54:30 AM
1) Monetha
2) Kin
3) Aventus
4) Enigma (despite the security breach, still an attractive ICO)
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you had 1000$ to invest in Altcoins long term, which one would you choose? on: August 23, 2017, 04:24:21 AM
I would choose Monero/Zcash. Anonymity is prized by many (e.g. tax evaders, criminals) and given the steady march of regulation, people who are about anonymity will move their assets from Bitcoin to Monero or Zcash.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is sick again on: August 22, 2017, 04:33:42 AM
Given the amount of ICOs happening now that are built on the Ethereum blockchain (and the upcoming upgrade), I only see upside to Ethereum.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin Cash have a chance at overtaking Bitcoin? on: August 21, 2017, 01:55:55 PM
Doubtful - Bitcoin has much better name recognition and has a built in network effect.
