who might wanna run a mining pool? Who has good references for mining and starts now with CNC - I am serious interested to invest.

Those damn pools keep being DDOSed.

And I think you're way to late already, difficulty is going up quick and value is low on Bter.

I think this can be applied to most alt coins.

Definitely. Crypto-currency is seemingly becoming a trend with many alt currencies being pointless

That's very sad actually, because the concept is great. But we are just dicking around with it.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Want to mine CHNCoin but can't get it to work? on: May 04, 2013, 05:09:26 PM
Because CHNCoin has such a fast block releasing time, your miner will get out of sync with the network pretty fast. This creates loads of stales/invalids. You can prevent this by adding the following flags to your miner:

-s 5 --expiry 5 --queue 0

Quote
--scan-time|-s <arg> Upper bound on time spent scanning current work, in seconds (default: 60)
--expiry|-E <arg>   Upper bound on how many seconds after getting work we consider a share from it stale (default: 120)
--queue|-Q <arg>    Minimum number of work items to have queued (0 - 10) (default: 1)

This pool is been up and running for 36 hours at least now, with steady payouts every time a block has been found:

Did this post help you starting to mine? Please consider tipping me for my help. CHNCoin is currently the most profitable according to http://www.coinchoose.com/

Do people really think that naming it after a country will create popularity in that country? It seems to be so pointless. Let's start Zimbabwecoin in that case. Every Zimbabwecoin you mine will be worth 1.000.000 Zimbabwecoin within a year.

We have to stop making clones of Bitcoin/Litecoin and actually start developing a currency that fixes all issues Bitcoin and Litecoin have. Otherwise cryptocurrencies will stay a game of speculators and miners, not of merchants and customers.
