1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The future of Ethereum (ETH) on: September 19, 2017, 03:10:53 PM
Ethereum is a good coin with lots of potential. It started ICO's as we know it today, so it has really created more value as a network that users are using to create real business models and ideas. I think it's future is really bright and I am invested a little bit of my portfolio.

The only thing that has me staring even more closely on Eth is proof-of-stake. Will that create a centralization of nodes and kind of defeart the purpose of decentralization? Perhaps I am just worrying too much about it.

Anyway, Eth, hell yeah!
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more profitable, trading in Crypto coins or trading in stock market?? on: September 11, 2017, 02:51:49 PM
Trade in both? The stock market has less volatility and in turn smaller gains. Crypto is highly volatile, as we have seen over the last few weeks because of China FUD.

You might be able to make more money in the volatile markets if you really get intimate with them. The same principle of trading stock markets, but with much more price action and volatility.

Traditional markets seem to be a bit more predictable. Personally, I am a day trader with crypto and I also am a long-term investor in ETF and bonds and securities because I believe in having a diverse portfolio that mitigates risk.

cryptotrader.org allows you to set up your own trading bot.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the price will DROP MORE? on: September 11, 2017, 01:48:09 PM
I think we are in for a bull market for at least 6 weeks. We will see how this pans out, but the FUD is real from China. I think over time this will shake out that we'll get more user adoption and perhaps the decentralized nature of bitcoin will aid it in the future that China can't FUD as hard as they can now.

The FUD is real...
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: share here cryptocurrency influencers on twitter on: September 11, 2017, 01:10:01 PM
I never use them for buying tips, I usually just look at Twitter to see what everyone is talking about, then I usually do my own research. But it seems like these guys are pretty much on the pulse of everything, from crypto markets to the Bitcoin core crew that are always fighting with each other. It's good to see the total picture for me when it comes to cryptocurrency. I get my news from everything from Twitter to Coin Telegraph to YouTubers to Telegram and Discord groups.

It is a deep rabbit hole when you start adding social media channels, so I suggest you get in for the ride if you want to fully immerse yourself in the cryptosphere. I wouldn't pay them much mind though, only solid research and a bit of luck will ever get you anywhere. But reading what's going on helps you get your eyes on the pulse of what people are saying and doing in the markets.

8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: forex trading vs cripto trading on: September 10, 2017, 02:35:04 PM
Why not invest in both? Diversify your portfolio and have high-risk with crypto and low-risk with forex? My plan is to diversify my trade income streams among many different markets, but one thing for sure is that the biggest reward and risk so far has been crypto for me, but goddamnit do I love it!

One day you can be up 20% in an hour, or 50% below in a just few, so it just really depends. I think that really getting intimate with each market, whether it's reading articles, twitter accounts, telegram groups, buying signals, or just doing your own research (which is always the best in my opinion) will make you a smart, informed investor.

To be forthright though, I'm a long-time investor, but I also day and swing trade on the smaller coins I think are going to moon.

So the bottom line for me is, forex seems to be safer moves while crypto is a great place to buy below market value on the dips that which then can be capitalized when the run ups happen.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite 3 altcoins and why? on: September 09, 2017, 04:55:41 PM

1. Bitcoin - because it is the backbone of the entire ecosystem
2. Litecoin - for its transaction time and low fees, and steady price
3. Neo - think it has Eth-like potential if China stops being so controlling of crypto (will never happen)
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: China will soon be insignificant? on: September 09, 2017, 03:45:51 PM
Interesting point. China is sort of in this weird middle ground in the crypto world with tons of mining, etc but with tons of power to shift everything.

It is certainly FUD and it definitely infects in every market when they do. You almost can expect a Red day on coinmarketcap if PBoC makes an announcement. I think personally it's a thing of control, like any government where people have no freedom to make that choice for themselves.

Should be interesting to see how cryptocurrency and Bitcoin play out during this latter part of 2017. I have a feeling September won't be as fruitful on the gains perhaps.

We'll see.

Hello, I am a crypto investor and someone who has been employed to write since 2005, whether it is a blog or an article for a vice president. I am a former magazine editor (when they were still popular), but now make a living as a Bitcoin/Altcoin trader and investor, and as a freelance writer, editor, copywriter, marketer, and can write in any voice, whether technical or relatable. Would love to show you my work, and offer up my services.

It makes me wonder what that "bit catalyst" will be, or that a-ha moment where Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies just spread like wildfire? Has me wondering.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / China will soon be insignificant? on: September 09, 2017, 03:09:33 PM
Hey everyone,

I've only posted here a few handful of times, but I have been actively trading for a couple of months now, and mostly at successful, modest return. So I bring this question up, will China soon become insignificant? China has me thinking a lot lately about the future of BTC and crypto.

It seems like every Friday China wants to test their power on cryptosphere, and they have done so twice now with ICO ban and the current China binary exchange ban. The only reason why I'm interested in what China is doing is because I'm slightly invested in Neo, and I see a huge potential for this protocol to become successful if China gets out of the way, but it doesn't seem to be going that way as of late! I'm not concerned, because I know I am hedging that it will turn out OK in the end.

I'm pretty confident that China is playing games, or maybe a better way of putting it is they are showing how much power they really have over the liquidity of the crypto markets. I do, however, feel like that the scaling of Bitcoin to be a more mainstream technology, as it is doing here in the U.S., that China will be less capable of "terrorizing" the markets as they can now, and are doing currently.

So with my opinion on China, I wanted to know what you guys think about holding Neo tokens, as well as if you think China's influence over the Bitcoin and Altcoin markets will subside as adoption grows rampant on the worldwide stage? I mean, we already see Canada making crypto hedge fund manager a real designation by the government, and Russia is poised to place it on the Moscow ETF.

I think China will be left in the dust because regulations will be the death knell to their Chinese cryptoventures like Neo, and they soon will be surpassed by the world crypto markets (which I hope is the case).

Regardless, I know BTC and blockchain are just in the Wild West stage of growth, and we are the cowboys riding the untamed mustangs!
14  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Bittrex really this slow? on: August 22, 2017, 04:54:35 PM
Hey, thank you for clarifying. I'm still green to this, and trying to wrap my head around it all.

That being said, what exchange/s do you trade on?
15  Economy / Exchanges / Is Bittrex really this slow? on: August 22, 2017, 03:00:48 PM
Hey, everyone, I'm new to crypto trading and have been mainly using Bittrex. It seems fine so far, but it's so unbelievably slow to send bitcoin or other altcoins to and from my exodus wallet to the exchange.

In fact, was trying to trade this morning and sent bitcoin about 2 hours ago and it isn't even showing as a pending transaction yet in Bittrex.

It just seems extremely annoying that when I want to trade quickly it takes this long. Am I doing something wrong, or is Bittrex and all the transactions really that slow? Not sure if this is my impatience, or this is just par for the course?

What do you guys trade on?
