1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: * * BitBar logo & banner contest OPEN TILL END MAY * * 1 BTC & 3 BTB bounty on: June 01, 2013, 07:15:01 PM
I think the logos and accepted signs are great and what he wanted but that was only half of it.  I believe he also wanted a a banner like the example he posted here for a website: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=193519.msg2252031#msg2252031

I don't think anyone really had the complete package with all of these.  I'm sure he can clarify further.

To be fair he didn't really specify much in the OP. If my logo is chosen I'm happy to extend my work further.

Well with art you usually take baby steps. You give some ideas, we return some ideas, you critique, then we send back the first stage of artwork ie a logo with the revised art style and then if we have the art style & direction correct we move on to make other items.

It is a complete waste of time to draw out all pieces at once and then have someone give absolutely no feedback other than 'I do not like it'.

Artwork takes a  lot of time to not only be creative but to also render items. When I do artwork I make my items extremely large because it is better to have the correct artwork in high quality at various sizes then to have one small sample that has to be completely redone on a larger scale. My coins & buttons etc that I posted are from 20+inch files and the ones I posted on here are maybe 2 inches.

I agree completely with you. However I would suggest using some sort of vector format, it seems a waste of time to make different sizes of the same thing Smiley

I really liked site's minimal design.

You should add FTC,YAQ

I'm glad you like the design. I'll look into adding these coins.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] Cryptscrow - Secure cryptocurrency escrow - Coming soon on: May 30, 2013, 06:14:01 AM

I'm here to announce a new service which has been in the works for a little while. Cryptscrow is an automated escrow service, used for trading between cryptocurrencies. Use is extremely simple.

Once a trade has been created, users are redirected to a unique escrow page. This page shows the status of the current escrow, as well as deposit addresses for the trade. If funds haven't been deposited within 12 hours (subject to change), all funds that have been deposited will be automatically returned to the originating wallets and the escrow will be cancelled.

We're almost ready for launch, so if you're interested check out the site and register your interest using your email address.

Currently at launch we're going to support the following currencies:
  • BTC
  • LTC
  • BQC
  • FRK

Please suggest other currencies below, this list is in no way complete. Any other suggestions or feedback are welcomed. Thanks for reading!

Very clear.

Let me know which one you prefer - I'll put some more time into it and pursue it further.

Ah, sorry, looked a bit similar Smiley

I wouldn't call your site very usable through.

It's meant to show off my work, explain what I'm about and give people some contact methods. It seems to be serving its purpose fairly well. I'll probably end up redesigning it eventually.

Nope, that's actually the 'Keep Calm' poster font: http://www.k-type.com/?p=2199

Just trying out some different ideas here. I think an important part is to keep the logo minimalistic and very legible.

Sorry about the downtime on the FRK pool, tried to patch to the latest frankod, no luck. Took a while to fix. We're back up now.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Proposal] Automated coin escrow service on: May 18, 2013, 10:40:22 PM
i remember someone was developing a trading bot week ago. guess no new development
It's now running since today Wink
I don't make a lot of advertising, so nobody knows it. Tongue
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200880

Also for OP, I think it's a bad idea to make a website. All scammers will DDoS your server. That's the main reason why I chose to make a bot integrated in bitcointalk forum : scammers can't DDoS anything. Wink

Why would scammers DDoS the site? They wouldn't be getting anything out of it. Also, bitcointalk is just as likely to go down as any site I make would be. They're just as vulnerable to a DDoS as anyone else.

I've updated the OP with a mockup I've done for the site. Feedback appreciated as always.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best litecoin pool atm? on: May 18, 2013, 08:49:22 AM
You can check out my site: http://p2poolmine.com/

Because of the way p2pool works, funds are paid out at regular intervals to your address. No need to remember pins, login details etc. There's a 1% fee.
