29-29.5 mh/s eth mining speed at ~80w power usage.
How did you get this? I've got 2 of these cards and are getting 27mhs,at 80w at the wall. Thanks. It depends on the quality of the memory. I have not more than 28.9 mh/s on xubuntu. I'm using HiveOS. Can I ask what settings you're using?

Thanks for all the replies everyone - certainly food for thought.
I'm looking forward to getting stuck in to mining and see where this amazing technology can go over the years ahead.

Hello, I am after some advice on how to reduce power consumption on my small SMOS rig, mining Eth using Claymore-Eth-11.7. I am running:
1xRX570 Core = 1100 Mhz, Memory = 2200Mhz ~ 27.3Mh 1xRX560 Core = 1100 Mhz, Memory = 1600Mhz ~ 10.9Mh 1xRX560 Core = 1100 Mhz, Memory = 1900Mhz ~ 12.5Mh
And I use 290W without making any other changes.
So, in SMOS I reduced the powerstage to '5', and the Core undervolting is set to 820, and I am using.... 285W.
I haven't changed the BIOS or anything yet.
Is is possible to reduce the power consumption somehow?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hello, I am using SimpleMining OS to mine Ethereum to Nanopool. I have got the mining set up fine, but when I check my progress on Nanapool it always says "Incorrect Worker Name". I am using claymore-eth-v10.6 within SMOS.
I thought I have set it up properly in SMOS, the line being:
Default config: -wd 1 -r 1 -epool stratum+tcp://eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal $walletETH/$rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -asm 1
I have changed the stratum address to nanopool and put my Eth Wallet address in, but I have tried putting a rig name in afterwards and Nanopool doesn't like it at all it seems.
The auto generate config file for Claymores miner from NP i: -epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal [WALLET ADDRESS].Rig1/[EMAIL ADDRESS] -epsw x -mode 1 -ftime 10
Which I have also tried with no success.
I hope there will be no issue with NP and me losing a payout over this? It has registered fine with my walled address.
I realise this is probably a beginners question but if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated - I'm going round in circles here.
Thank you.

I am based in the UK and would like ~ 0.15 BTC inc. shipping costs to send within the uk.
For elsewhere in the world let me know where you live and I will look into shipping.

As per the title. I am selling my eBit E9 6.5T miner. It has been working away quite happily in my garage since September last year but it's time to upgrade.
I'm happy to use an escrow service and I can send photos / screenshots etc if people want to see them.
All sensible offers considered.

I am thinking of upgrading from my eBit 6.5T miner but I'm not sure the best way to sell it. I am wary of using eBay due to being scammed buy buyers before (eBay and Paypal ALWAYS seem to take the buyers side, regardless).
So I wondered if anyone could suggest a different and better place to sell it.
It is still profitable, even in the UK where electricity is £0.12 kw/hr, so I'd like to believe selling it will be quite easy, it's just a question of where.
Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have an eBit e( miner (6.3Th/s) working away in my garage. The noise, isn't so loud it's an issue but I was wondering if I could change the fan. I found a 12cm fan which I used, but it was no where near man enough for the job. Has anyone succesfully managed to change a fan to something quieter?
If so, what fan did you use?
Thanks.

Hello, I am a relatively new investor in Bitcoin, and recently I have been reading about a fork to Bitcoin gold. My understanding is that everyone who owns Bitcoin receives the equivalent number of coins in the forked currency, once the fork takes place. Is this correct?
Do I have to store my Bitcoin in a specific wallet (I might be new, but I'm not stupid enough to send my coin to you ;-) ), or do anything to activate this, or will it happen automatically? (If the fork goes ahead, of course).
Thanks for any advice.

Hello, I am trying to set up my mining. I have created an account, and used the config tool to create a batch file to run minerd. However, when I try and run it, the command line window comes up with
ltcminer>pause Press any key to continue...
Which I do, and the command line window disappears and nothing happens. I am running Win 7 and I realise that I will never make any money from this but I am trying to get this up and running purely for my own curiosity.
Thanks for any assistance given.
