1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Cast XMR] high speed XMR/CryptoNight miner for RX Vega GPUs (2 KHash/s) on: December 20, 2017, 06:54:28 PM
The RX56 only stuck at 1300 is in a data center! Temps on the card do not go above 55C. Ambient temp is 75F.  I tried just running the VEGA by itself and it is stable but hovers at 1300.....Running the 4 RX480s work fine temp wise.  Is it because the Vega is not GPU0? Does it need to be the primary card?  I do not think it is temp related because on a cold boot (sitting off for 24 hours) when i start the miner, it starts at 1900 for three lines and then within 10 seconds immediately goes down to 1297-1300 and stays there......I know it is something simple, just cant figure it out Smiley

4gb ram. 1 vega 56 with 4 rx480s. Followed new guide for the vega. Uninstalled wattman. Using august blockchain drivers. Overdrivent tool. Soft registry settings. 60gb page file. Enable and disable the card on reboots. Run cast-xmr as admin. Everything is stable but the vega starts at 1900 and works its way down to 1300 and stays there. Im testing with just the vega for now. Using claymore the 480s work fine.
Any ideas on how to break 1300H/s?
that's pretty weird. Maybe the Vega doesnt like the 480s much? 1300H/s is the default speed at which Claymore runs on the Vega, or default xmr stak -at least in my case-, or cast xmr when it starts without disabling and enabling the Vega. Also, what's the main GPU? The Vega, the iGPU, a RX 480? Have you enabled large pages support? -I dont mean the Windows virtual memory, but the setting enabled with gpedit-

Yeah it is weird.  It is not temp related.  It ran all night, temps at 59C and it is still pegged at 1297-1300.  Stable but just stays there.  I only get 4-5 lines of 1900 before it settles on 1300.  Yes I enable Large Pages Support for administrator and the local user.  The primary GPU is one of the 480s.

Check HBM memory temperture with GPU-Z, should be below 70C, otherwise the hashrate drops down.

Right now it is set to 85C in OverdriveNT.  Set to 70C ?

5  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Garage Enclosure on: August 29, 2017, 02:49:07 AM
Temp will get 85F on the hottest summer day.  The intake will be a 24" hole with filter.  I was thinking about an intake fan, but dont think that is necessary...?
6  Bitcoin / Mining support / Garage Enclosure on: August 29, 2017, 01:41:20 AM
Looking at making a sound deadening enclosure / wind tunnel for antminer miners to be housed in a hot and humid garage. 10 total.

To keep the noise down as well as keep them as cool as possible.

The idea was to make a tall cabinet to act as a wind tunnel.

The air will be pulled in through two windows in the garage sucked through the bottom of the enclosure and then exhausted out of the top via a whole house type attic fan into the attic above the garage.  The CFM rating is 3500 on the exhaust fan via 12 inch duct.

Think this will work?

The two good ones are full.  The rest dont respond. There are two in Canada that are good, but the international hosting piece presents its set of problems.

Interested in this as well.  Cerad cost is the lowest in the US?

By consensus, what are the top 3 miner hosts in the US?

Email sent last week.  No response.  Just PMd
