Feature request Zpool Non BTC Wallet address and password override box in Options > Profit Switching
Please can you add a password override option [box] in the Profit Switching section so that it overrides the default (c=BTC) for all algos under Zpool as it seems that new users and some old users are finding it hard to work out how to change this when they are not using a BTC wallet address for payout, a standard box will do for this where the user just enters the correct ticker and other options (ie Digibyte wallet address - password would be -->> c=DGB,sd=12,rignamehere) for their payout wallet choice, this would then override the default of BTC for all algos within the Zpool algos in Online Services.
This would make it more user friendly / logical, the user would not have to go to the Online Services section to update the password for all algos for Zpool with ref to their payout coin choice (non BTC wallet address) as it's all done in this one place where your entering your wallet address for the coin you want to be paid in.
** Image link removed as this stupid platform don't like the URL - Would help if there was a way to upload images to place in posts / messages .... SIGH **
Thanks.

Thank you to all that have posted a reply here, glad to see some of you have "criticized" me on my first post of this thread, you did what I wanted, you voiced your opinion without causing a fight here, I congratulate you all in that respect.
It's been an interesting read with all that's been said and posted here, insightful to say the least !
As for Trump vs Biden - They are not really who I want in power from either side for many reasons, but here we are, that's all we got .... right ?
Once again, thanks !

As I said Because iceriver machines proved that they are really reliable times and times before! Hahaha ! I guess you have not seen the failed ones yet (Iceriver KS units), over time the chips die or the units have the thermal paste off-center under the heat sink on the hash boards from the factory causing them to run hot ! They also have bad customer support (Iceriver) when the customer needs assistance to have units replaced etc, seen many complaints about it. Iceriver EU .... is a scam and not their official outlet for Iceriver.

There are supporters of Bitcoin community in the Congress and Biden can not only ask his party mates in the Congress to kill American Bitcoin mining industry. He will not get enough support to pass such a bill. He will not win no matter how hard he tries to do that and I believe he does not aim at killing American Bitcoin mining industry.
Tax, he and his administration want to get more tax for the nation from American Bitcoin mining industry. He can achieve it but he will not achieve a target to kill this industry, even he wants it.
If Bitcoin miners migrate from the USA. to other nations, the USA. will lose significant tax resource.
Yes and no ..... Why ? New York (state) banned crypto mining... `The New York Senate passed Bill S6486D banning cryptocurrency mining in the state when relying on carbon-based energy sources to power their operation.` If other states follow their lead, which some have, it's game over for most unless you can find another power source that gets round the ban or move to another state that's crypto friendly. There are states that are also refusing to give out permits / renew them for mining farms as well. BTW - If you did not read the article that I posted in my first post here .... President Biden is asking Congress to take aim at the American Bitcoin mining industry — and he's citing China as an example for the United States to follow.

Tax it to death or ban it still = kill it in the USA no matter what.
Sad thing is that it will cost people their jobs, be it miners, traders and exchanges that operate in the USA with either route they take.
Here's the other sad thing, AI is power hungry too, as are all the data centers that we rely on for day to day things, Gov servers (IRS, Defence, police, DMV etc), traffic control systems, banking, the internet and all the servers and routers and network switches and distribution nodes for the cables in the sea and on land that we rely on day to day for the internet to work.
Why single out BTC / crypto with it's electric consumption ?

Cross feeding power to your GPU's via two PSU's should never be done ! If one of the PSU's develops a fault and stops working for some reason because one of the connectors / cables has melted and started a fire or one of the GPU's has a burn out (catches fire) it's going to cause a feedback loop to all other devices and kill them if your unlucky. If you want to mix and match this you risk back-feed/run-away into the motherboard and will probably break stuff and/or set your house on fire too. Power your devices the right way the first time. See note 1 in the article below. https://forum.zcashcommunity.com/t/the-facts-about-gpu-mining-electrical-specifications/19468"New risers have NO power connection to the mobo, only data via the USB cable. They make their own 3.3V on the riser from the 12V rail. You NEED to test your risers to confirm this. Ultimately you are responsible for building your rig in a safe and reliable way. Not me, or any other person on this forum. Having said that, each GPU should be powered from one PSU (both riser and 8 or 6 pin connector)."

You made a mistake: in the screenshot with "auto" the commandline is ... --pers auto .... but it should --pers=auto. and in the zelproof screen you have set pers 2 times. .... --pers --pers=zelproof ...... This is wrong, the first --pers must be deleted, but i think this is set by AM, so patrik need to adjust this. In personal string maybe you must write only =auto or =zelproof - give it a try please. Yes the = between --pers and auto is missing, here the argument from the miniZ website: I tried all that, it don't work here. As I said, Patrike needs to fix it with the correct settings for MiniZ and the algo (ZelHash / Equi 125.4).

Awesome Miner version 9.12.3

Hello everyone! I am new to this topic, I would like to build an crypto miner for say around 3k+ in GBP Could you please give me the configuration at this price? Thanks.
If you still want to go this route with a GPU rig .... read ALL the info here -->> https://www.gpuminingresources.com/p/index.html Pay attn to ALL the info there..... don't cause a fire and burn your house down !!

@Patrike, Can you take a look at ZelHash (Equihash 125,4) as some of the miners (LOLMiner / MiniZ) don't want to work on some pools for some reason. I can't get them to work on Nicehash or Zpool within Awesome Miner, but if I run them manually from a bat file they work fine. Looks like the --pers option is missing / set wrong for them. TIA ** Update ** Tested this again, it's a --pers issue where "--pers" is not set correctly for the Zelhash (Equihash 125,4) algo. I made a user defined online service for ZelHash for Nicehash to confirm this with the MiniZ Miner that this is the problem, results below with MiniZ now working. Nicehash - Algo ->> ZelHash (Equihash 125,4) MiniZ needs "--pers=ZelProof" LOLMiner - The --pers option is not being set when mining on pools for this algo either. With the "--pers auto" set for the algo / pool Can you check this for all miners that can mine the ZelHash (Equihash 125,4) algo so they work properly. Thanks.

I understand all this. But Awesome stopped mining FLUX Stopped altogether I didn't change anything Changed wattomine statistics The question is how to continue mining flux Algorithm 125.4 no longer transmits statistics. It is transmitted via PoUW. And everything is the same there. But Awesome stopped calculating profit If you don't believe me, try mining flux on 125.4 Zpool.ca Nicehash Now go fix what you broke !
|
|
|
You don't need to change anything to mine FLUX on pools, PoW is still valid.
No longer working The statistics provider receives Flux for PoUW algorithm (not 125.4). Profit switcher draws zero income and does not switch Wonderful, great work FLUXCore Team, confuse people to no end. PoW for FLUX .... Algo has not changed Equihash 125,4 = ZelHash (PoW for standard systems) and mined on pools that have this algo. FLUX PoUW -- This requires different approach and is geared towards AI type work / jobs. See the info here about it -->> https://help.runonflux.io/categories/pouw/and here -->> https://help.runonflux.io/docs/fluxcore-alpha-bridging-the-infrastructure-gap/and here -->> https://leaderboard.fluxcore.ai/Google FLUX PoUW to get up the video's about it. I'm going to send Sundar Pichai (CEO of Google) an email and ask him to shut the search engine (Google) down as it seems that people do not want to use it to find / research things.
|
|
|
There is no change with the algo naming, PoUW side of things is different as are the requirements for it.
Thanks But how to mine Flux further? Where can I get statistics to switch mining?? You don't need to change anything to mine FLUX on pools, PoW is still valid. PoUW side has different requirements, go watch the video on YouTube about it.

Hi Whattomine changed the name of the Flux algorithm from Equihash 125.4 to PoUW. https://whattomine.com/coins/287.jsonI added a custom algorithm PoUW Changed the pool coin to FLUX PoUW Added algorithm and a command option to the mini Mining starts correctly, but the profit does not want to be recalculated correctly Where is the mistake? There is no change with the algo naming, PoUW side of things is different as are the requirements for it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKvGs2UyuMY

Hi Patrike,
Can you add the following algo's for Zpool in the next update.
Blakecoin Curve (Curvehash) Mike Neoscrypt-xaya Sha3d Sha512256d Skydoge Whirlpool
Thanks.
