You should all know by now that a few days of media hype does very little for long term 'sticking power'.

This shit has to work and be taken up by major corporations. They simply won't do that if it's associated with drug purchasing and gun dealing.

people are buying guns and drugs with "regular" currencies everyday.

On a serious note, I would like to say that the vast influx of altcoins has seriously hurt the bitcoin economy. (at least in my opinion) there are few new coins that bring better ideas to the table. It sucks when everyone wants a quick buck. Ill come out and say that im not a fan of centralizing but i am a fan of regulation. Regulation by prohibiting or raising awareness about certain cryptocurrencies. I feel as though Bitcoin is strong on it's own but it's being degraded by "shitcoin". I was only spreading a little irony about the entire situation, it kind of frustrates me.  Huh

15  Other / Beginners & Help / stabllity is great on: May 10, 2013, 08:44:10 AM
 Wink

Don't get caught up in the get rich quick schemes people. Bitcoin is in for the long haul. I think gox being semi stable is great for the economy. The press will eat the stability up so Im sure more people will take that as an opportunity to buy in. You'll still get all the volatility in time. Gox just needs to keep up with promises. Can you say litecoin?
16  Other / Beginners & Help / ripple intrigues me on: May 10, 2013, 08:28:15 AM
what's interesting about ripple is the social capital aspect. if governments gave their own backing for bitcoin. the affect would be astounding.
