I found the concept pretty cool.

You should just definitely add a "subscribe to mailing list" box on your website.
I don't want to miss news on that project but right now there is no way to subscribe for it.

I'm a developer for 10 years now, mainly C, ruby, Scala and Erlang. I'm using bitcoins for months now, I put a fair amount of money in it (around 2000$) and I would like to participate to "real" discussions. Mainly about bitcoin internals.
I don't really know how I can show that I'm not a noob here..

That's not really the point.

Bitcoin is about freedom. This system is just making bitcoin users looking like elitists and is against the values behind bitcoin.
This is not preventing spam at all... You can even pay mechanical turk people for spamming nowadays.
