1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most trusted altcoins? on: October 12, 2018, 12:13:15 AM
Hi there are too many coins in crypto
It makes difficult to find out which one is trusted which is not
So please suggest me the name of altcoins which you will find most trusted and profitable
It helps me a lot
Thanks

Trust is something you need to earn. I would be hesitant to fully trust any new or establishing coin (unless you have good reason to). This is where you need to educate yourself and learn about who is behind the coin, the technology, developers, roadmap, whitepaper and so on. If something smells fishy, or is too good to be true it often is. Research is your best friend.
If you are not research minded and want to trust in a coin, go for the established, proven coins that seem to have long term development strategies. Like any investment marketplace there will be fly by-night operations, so be savvy, be cool and stay saucy Smiley
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do now on: October 10, 2018, 09:12:49 PM
Some people say hold your crypto,  some says sell immediately that holding for long is useless.
What do you believe and practice?

This can only be answered on a case by case, person by person basis. If you can afford to hodl, then this is the correct thing to do. Unless you truly believe the coin is tanking, the developers have walked away and there is no support and no advancements then i would say HODL. Just in the last few weeks we have seen some impressive rallying by altcoins that have not done anything but slide down all year. Tis the season to be jolly! HO HO HO!!!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 best altcoins in 2018 on: October 05, 2018, 09:49:38 AM
nowadays there are so many altcoins in circulation, if we look at coinmarketcap, there are already thousands of altcoins, I want to ask you all, what are the best 3 altcoins in 2018?

For my money the best 3 in no particular order:

1. ETN (Electroneum) - Mobile crypto currency breaking through the barriers of mass adoption with their instant payment system. Vendors and customers will be able to use ETN to pay for everyday items instantly. Amazing and great value right now.

2. PRIV (Privcy) - Fantastic community, quality coin with steady improvements, nice features. Currently in Wk17 of 20 Airdrops. For those valuing their privacy this is a beautiful project.

3. Ethereum - The backbone of the Altcoin market, this one will always be rock solid and ready to perform. Definitely worth investing and valuing this one.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop panicking start believing! on: October 05, 2018, 03:06:04 AM
The current situation of bitcoin and all the crypto currencies were not good but it doesn't mean that this will be the end of the cryptos since we need to acknowledge that this is not the first time the crypto prices were falling this much so everyone needs to be patient and just get away from your panic this will help the prices to recover faster.Start believes that crypto currencies were going to be the future of this payment system and start HODLing that coins.

the crazy price run we saw last year was unbelievable but we must be realistic. The price was always going to come down, but it went down still far higher than where it started. The price of BTC is still huge and would only be low if you entered the market near the peak. Price of BTC will almost certainly rise and rise beyond $50,000k USD in the next few years and some believe it could go as high as $1million. If you think this is crazy talk you should listen to some of the most knowledgeable people in finance. Of course FUD peddlers still exist who believe it will all come crashing down, but these are the people with the most to lose i.e. the banking and finance sector. Many believed the internet was merely a phase, think about that for a second.
Fact is the technology behind cryptocurrency cannot be unlearned......it is set in stone that we will all be using this, whether we know it or not, in the next 50 years.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favorite Coin for 2018? on: October 04, 2018, 08:37:51 PM
Please, i have no interest in your projections, I'm more interested in the technology behind the coin you deem your favorite for 2018. So having said that, what is YOUR favorite coin, and what will it do for: technology/blockchain/financial fields?

Electroneum is my favourite coin. Mass adoption is one of the biggest obstacles many coins face, to be able to use it everyday like fiat would be groundbreaking and revolutionary. ETN is making great strides with making crypto accessible for everyone, everyday. Checkout their instant payment system currently being tested. For vendors and customers alike, this is the furthest i have seen a coin go into tackling the barriers to mass adoption.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what are your plan for altcoin on: September 28, 2018, 10:15:53 AM
I still hold my altcoin and i plan to my all coin holding for longer time  beacuse  altcoin  give  a bright future  alt coin low now so i plan buy the coins.

Could not have said it better mate. It is a great time to HODL and even purchase some more.
Some great coins are Privcy and Electroneum. ETN is a very worthwhile and exciting coin attempting to be one of the first coins to breakthrough to mass adoption. The instant payment system is quite revolutionary...check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEV7DEhbUlk

Privcy is an awesome community with great support, great devs and a great team. They are truly a pleasure to socialise with and share in the birth and growth of an awesome coin. They are up to Airdrop 17/20 and I have enjoyed every week with this community. Check them out if you have the time also.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid money on: September 27, 2018, 11:24:24 PM
One guy wrote a post on the Internet. He invested in an ICO and did not know what to tell his wife because the money he invested were borrowed from a bank and the ICO failed. Nobody wants those tokens anymore. So, what should this guy do now, in your opinion?

When we were launching an ICO I spoke to almost all of our investors. Not with all of them but with the majority. My message was simple – you should invest the amount of money you are willing to lose. I kept saying this over and over again. I even refused some of the potential investors. Not many, but still I turned two or three of them down. It was not about ethics. It was not about morality. It was not about reputation.

The thing is that one of my businesses is a detective agency. Thus, I saw many malicious fraud cases. People say a project will be a success and then some force majeure happens. This is when infuriated investors hire detectives to find the fraudsters. We conduct a thorough investigation on the case and see that no one actually intended to cheat at first. It just happened. They just did not calculate their own strength. Did not foresee all the possible outcomes. In fact, willful fraud cases are not as common as single cases of stupidity. But the outcome is always the same – court cases initiated by the investors and jail for the stupid entrepreneur.

Some people wrongly assume that it is possible to flee – there were cases when we had been searching for 2 years but managed to find people in the end. Whatever large amount of investments a person gets, they will lose it in a couple of years if they have no experience of managing such sums. Moreover, they will end up in a much worse situation than they were before.

Knowing all this, I have decided to work only with those investors who were ready to lose money. Even though my thoughts are unlikely to be heard, I highly recommend that all ICOs adopt this policy. We all play a very high-risk game: 9 projects out of 10 fail after collecting money. Different people, including ones like the guy I was talking about, invest into projects; they invest money borrowed from banks. These people are stupid. They are not ready to be investors. The ICO team has to explain that investing is out of their league. Maybe they are just not suited for this.

However, ICOs do not do this. As a result, after crying his eyes out, our guy will get angry and file a report to the police to initiate criminal proceedings against the ICO team. The team will have many unpleasant years ahead.

So maybe it is reasonable to prevent such situations? Maybe saying ‘guys, we can fail’ at the beginning makes perfect sense? ‘Investing credit money in an ICO is a bad idea and this is why we refuse you’?

The perception of reality is different amongst many people and especially when money is involved. It should be common sense for any investor to understand the risks involved in any startup. This is basically what an ICO is, a startup. Most startups fail, some have varying success, some are wildly successful...and the difference between all three could merely be time. Amazon for instance was going nowhere for years until just fairly recently. Now it is one of the biggest companies in the world.
As an investor you need to answer some serious questions:
1. Am i in this for the long term or short term?
2. Am I actively or passively investing time/money into the project (personal responsibility)
3. How much am i willing to lose
4. Will i conduct my due diligence in the project.

Number 4 is often the most overlooked question. Do I as an investor understand the product i am backing. Do i understand the risks, do i know who is running the company/project?

There are too many people shirking personal responsibility in life and this is the same thing with investing.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where To Invest 500$ on: September 26, 2018, 03:30:45 AM
Hey Everyone I'm Very New To Crypto And I Just Want Some Good Suggestions That I Have 500$ And Where Should I Invest Them?

Help Will Be Appreciated Thank You.

My 2 cents worth is invest in ETN. Electroneum is a very exciting prospect bringing cryptocurrency to the market using mobile phones and a fantastic new instant payment system. This new system allows vendors to receive coins in a timely manner, bypassing the often laggy transaction system that would render crypto difficult to accept in a fast paced vendor environment. The dream is to buy your caffe latte at the local cafe using crypto, and ETN is the closest yet to bringing this to reality.
ETN has had a recent bounce but i still believe it a fantastic investment. Definitely under valued at the moment.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will make blockchain go mainstream for real? on: September 21, 2018, 01:48:08 AM
Today, I saw a post on Coindesk by David Chaum, saying blockchain needs up to 100,000 transactions per second before it can go mainstream for real. What are your thoughts on this?  What contributions do you have to foster blockchain adoptions and applications in real life?

Electroneum in my opinion is the closest to going mainstream. There needs to be a seamless instant way to transact in real life, and their new instant payment system is groundbreaking. It is being trialled right now in Egypt and if successful, we could be buying our morning coffee with ETN. Very exciting and hoping this breaks fresh ground.
I'm not sure what the number of transactions has to do with anything. If we can bypass fiat all together then its gone mainstream.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any altcoins recommend to buy? on: September 20, 2018, 10:37:57 AM
Hello bro and sis, can recommend me some new altcoins, which you think are great project can invest some when their ICO and earn triple or double  Cheesy

You won't get too much advice on rapid profits...nobody can predict what will go to the moon.
There are 2 very worthwhile investments right now.
1. Privcy. Great community, well supported by developers, airdropping right now and set to only get bigger and better.
2. Electoneum. First crypto to really tackle the idea of using coins to pay for everyday transactions. Their new instant payment system is beautiful and the project is well supported. The price has taken a dive since the ICO but i believe now would be the best time to invest.

Good luck with your investments and hope you have great success.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feel like quitting on: September 19, 2018, 02:42:58 AM
Honestly there are more reasons to quit? When I see my rank become a newbie again I feel empty and nothing to do. And in the other side I see the market price falling without changes. But it keeps on falling down. Literally like I am far on achieving my goals. Can someone help me on what strategy I will do to get some merit points and how to do when the market price is low?

It has been a fairly bad year in terms of price and growth of BTC and Cryptocurrency in general. We must all remember last year was a freak occurrence that we may never see again. This is probably a good thing as the validity of Crypto to be used mainstream for everyday transactions we need the price to be relatively stable. Last year the price of BTC grew $1000 sometimes within an hour. It was absurd and the Fear of Missing Out (FMO) encapsulated the marketplace. This is merely a correction to something more normal and stable. Nothing is crashing, it just isn't going gangbusters. Keep the faith and hang in there, remember to diversify your investment portfolio.

Why did you rank go down to newbie? Weird
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin To Buy Now? on: September 14, 2018, 10:26:49 AM
What altcoins are you guys picking up for cheap in this dip?

There are so many good ones to choose from all with fantastic prospects. Privcy has a bustling, very supportive community currently in wk15 of airdrops. I am heavily investing in this.
Also Electroneum, with the new instant payment system which hopes to solve the issue of delayed transactions...this is an awesome developing coin surely going to do very well in the next couple of years.
Happy investing people Smiley
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is the Crypto Market going down? on: September 13, 2018, 09:36:46 AM
It has been a long Bear year.
Bitcoin went down by $1000 in a matter of minutes 2 days ago.
Ethereum is dying.
What is going on?

There is lethargy in the marketplace at the moment. Bitcoin was super hyped last year and we really have not seen any progress with mass adoption. We need projects like the Electroneum Instant payment system...where you can buy your coffee with cryptocurrency. This is the future and once the use of crypto becomes widespread we will see the price go up and up and up. Supply is limited and is much better than fiat where you can just print money all day every day. We all need to keep the faith and consider long term prospects. Crypto will never die and will be the future of our civilization....Guaranteed!
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin should I trade currently ? on: September 12, 2018, 11:17:13 AM
I want to spend a part of my money to trade, but I'm considering about which one should I buy and sell this time, my friends advice LCS, BNB, XPR, ONT.
How do you think guys ? And how about collect a little bit ETH at this time ?

My tip is Electroneum at the moment. Price has been sliding all year but they have just migrated to the new Instant Payment system. A revolution in mobile cryptocurrency which is easily accessible and usable for everyone everyday. Check out ETN..worth the look.
The market is fairly stable at the moment and if history proves correct, we should see value increasing leading up to Christmas. Happy investing people Smiley
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where did the money go? on: September 07, 2018, 10:30:33 AM
Money is coming out of Crypto, I'm not sure but concurrently down the price is proof. I always wondered the question:
Where does the money come from Crypto?
Where did the money from Crypto go?

Follow the money. Alot of people would have taken the profit we saw at the end of 2018 and withdrawn. There was a lot of profit to be had. Since that time there has been quite a bit of bad news..regulation, banning of exchanges and general FUD. Right now the general population is not convinced of the viability of cryptocurrencies in the face of increased attention from government.
I also believe alot of people got in when the price was already inflated, and in that case the money is gone. With every free market, there are winners and losers. Takes a lot of losers to produce few winners. I believe if we HODL we will all be winners in the end. Have faith my brothers.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins to Trade Vs To Hold? on: September 06, 2018, 10:04:37 AM
So many people mention that holding coins is more profitable than trading.  If you trade, then its possible for you to make consistent income if you buy it low and sell at high.  But if you hold, then you don't make any money until you sell which could be a very long time.

The thing is aren't there coins that are more profitable to trade than hold and vice versa?  For example, i believe bitcoin is a coin to hold and not trade.  Because in the long run, if it keeps going up, you will profit.  If you keep buying when it dips then sell when it goes up, you make money but it seems a bit more work than holding it.  Do people agree or disagree?  The thing is people predict it will only go up.  So if it only go up, wouldn't that mean holding makes the most sense?  Now let say you buy it at a dip and then sell it when it goes back to the price after the dip.  Yes you make money but probably not that much because you need a lot of money to trade bitcoin if you want to make decent money.

But with altcoins... isn't buying it at dips and selling when it goes back probably a very good idea?  For example let say there is a coin that is 5 dollars or so.  You dont see this coin going up high in the future where it could go up like BTC or ETH.  You think the coin will stay around this price but maybe go max 15 dollars and just doesn't see it going 50 or more etc.  If thats the case, wouldn't these type of coins be the perfect coins to trade assuming these coin prices keep going between say 3 dollars and 12 dollars?  Because many times you notice many altcoins would go to 3 dollars then go back up to 6 dollars.  If you keep repeating it, wouldn't that be profitable as long as you don't sell for a loss?  The thing is what about altcoins that you think in the future could go up like ETH prices.  If thats the case, wouldn't those coins be great coins to hold?  Now if you buy these coins at dips and then sell them when it goes back up, yes you make money.  However imagine you bought 1000 coins of a coin at 3 dollars when it dip.  Then it goes back to 5.50.  Then you make a 2500 dollars or so etc.  Now let say it dips and goes back up many times and every time you do this you make 2k or so.  Thats great right?  However my thinking is if you think this coin could go up to 50 or 100 dollars, wouldn't trading it be bad idea because you could have bought 1000 shares and sold it many times where if you kept all those shares you make more money and less work etc?

However i feel like trading could make you consistent money.  Holding... you dont make money until you sell for a profit.  Do people agree/disagree with this?  I believe the coins that you should hold for profit would be BTC and maybe ETH.  However, wouldn't majority of altcoins probably be best for trading if u dont see that coin ever hitting that high of a price.  Like the coin would hit max 10 dollars.  But most of the time be between 2-7 dollars etc?  Thus buy these coins when there is a huge dip...... then hold until it goes back up to possibly close to double the price or even 50 percent of the price and then sell for profit?  Because if u dont sell when price falls after you buy, you dont lose money.

However to those people that trade altcoins especially when buying it in dips, how long typically do you hold these coins to before selling it and locking in a profit?  Like if a coin drops from 3 dollars to 2 dollars in a huge dip.  If you buy it at 2 dollars, if it goes to 2.50 in a few days, do you just sell it?  Do you just sell it if it goes to 2.50 in the same day and cash in the profit?  Im curious how many trades a trade does a month on average to make any decent money.  If i had to take a guess, someone probably would need to buy at least 2-3 altcoins and buy a lot of shares like 1000+ minimum each time to lock in a profit when it price goes up right?  Of course you could buy a coin and it drops down and it takes weeks or even longer to go back up.  So how long do you traders hold before you sell it since you are daytrading?

It seems simple to buy coins at huge dips and then sell them when prices go back.  So wouldn't it make sense certain coins are great for trading.  But certain coins are horrible for trading?  I don't really think there are many great coins to hold besides btc and ETH etc.  Does anyone here agree/disagree with this?  It seems like those altcoins that cost 25 dollars and less seem to be great options to buy during huge dips... then sell it once prices go back up but issue is you dont know how long it would take.  However, when was the last time a top 50 coin fell all the way down to almost nothing.  Does anyone know?  It seems like any coin in the top 25 that isn't btc or eth would be great to buy during dips right?  And it seems like during dips, doesn't it seem you could buy any altcoin in the top 25 since when btc goes up, all other altcoins seem to follow?  And when btc goes down, all altcoins seem to follow?  My thinking is during dips, it doesn't seem to really matter that much which altcoin you buy because when btc goes up, almost every altcoin does the same etc.

Does anyone here say certain coins are great to daytrade since they keep going from one price range to another price range but never gets higher than that?  Like if a coin drops to 2 dollars, then it almost always seem to go back to 3 dollars.  Thoughts on this?

Very difficult to comment accurately on this. Obviously you do not realise profit until you sell. Timing is everything. You need an incentive to HODL your coins. Believing in the coin and the future of the crypto world in general is a great reason, but some coins are just destined to fail. The market is quite saturated with various coins with no long term prospect. As with any investment, you need to go into it knowing what you want out of it. BTC is a great long term investment because it is the standard, will always be there and is the most well known. Smaller coins are better for short term gains.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't get carried away! on: September 04, 2018, 09:11:13 PM
Allways remember, "In bull market everyone is an expert but Bear market is the best period to learn"

In addition, the 3rd day in bear market shouldn't be neglected!

Always hold this and don get carried away!

Timely advice and agree 100%. We are going bull until at least the end of the year so i guess learning period is over, expert period begin.
I think we should all be happy with what we have learnt over the last 9 months so helps us ride the wave of fortune which is so gracefully about to descend upon us. Happy investing everyone Smiley
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Australians can pay bills in Cryptocurrency! on: August 31, 2018, 04:10:18 AM
https://www.newsbtc.com/2018/08/21/new-partnership-allows-australians-to-pay-bills-in-cryptocurrency/

Thanks to a new partnership, Australians will be able to pay bills using a number of cryptocurrencies!

This is very exciting. Another big important step on the road to mass adoption. Will be keenly watching the progress of this concept over the next 12 months. Australia is a very progressive country when it comes to adopting new technologies and this illustrates that. I believe using crypto everyday for transactions is the key stepping stone to a brave new world where individuals can take control of their financial freedom.
If this program is a success, who knows...next we cut out the middle man and pay crypto straight to vendors. Bring it on!
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop !! is it worth it ! on: August 30, 2018, 04:11:03 AM
I see many people following the Airdrop channels

They enter every Airdrop , Share posts on Twitter and Facebook

Is it possible to make some money from Airdrops

If Yes is it worth this the time and work ?

Airdrops are completely worth it, if the time it takes to complete the tasks do not interfere overly with your life/work routine. It is up to everyone to decide how much time they want to invest in and how much $$$ to invest.
Last year the DeepOnion airdrop was unbelievable, prices went to $18 USD each. Not only was there an airdrop but the coins you received could then be used as POS. I will let others decide if this kind of activity is worth it for them.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain will take over everything on: August 24, 2018, 10:02:40 PM
Blockchain is what is trending right now despite the fact that Government is giving us ash moment but believe me that next more years to come Blockchain will take over everything, industries oil companies and many more, but right now everything seems hard..

Completely agree and it's very exciting. The Technology is so useful and is just a matter of time before we see widespread adoption across many economic sectors. It is flawless beautiful tech, and the pioneers are on this forum. In 100 years kids at school will be studying blockchain technology and its history. Let it be known that I was a true believer Smiley
