2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at $20K ? on: January 27, 2018, 11:24:19 AM
Any predictionist that predict bitcoin will bullish run up to 20k$ this year ? Year 2017 bitcoin hits 20k$ but dramatically down at 11k$ ! Looking for advice if it is good to invest in bitcoin or nahh ?
Your suggestion is highly appreciated !
Thank you !!
If you want to invest in bitcoin - invest now. Now a good price to buy many coins for the long term. I am sure about that. 9000 - 10,000 dollars is a good price for today. Already bitcoin was 20 000, we see what to aim for, this is + 100%, bitcoin always updates the highs. Bitcoin will grow for the following reasons: the volume of trades has increased (the number of altcoins has increased), the number of miners has increased, more people are familiar with bitcoins, many have created a hedge fund and more.

Current levels look good to buy bitcoin but better approach would be to wait bit more to see where the bitcoin will be taken, who will win, sellers or buyers. After observing bit more, you can decide better.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long term vs. Short term on: January 26, 2018, 03:16:53 PM
for this coin investment I plan for short-term but regular investment because the results are quickly enjoyed

Indeed, short-term investment will offer less time on earning profits with the coins you are holding.
I'm holding Oyster Protocol PRL and the price is very volatile and this kind of volatile coins are million circulation supply. Thus, I could use this PRL for trading to have a chance to earn more than long-term coins or Billion supply coins.

Both short term and long term has its own advantages and disadvantages. Actually you don't need to choose between two. I divided my portfolio to half. I'm doing long term investment with the first half (it means no touch whatever happens in the market) and second half I do day trading.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the bitcoin price goes down on: January 25, 2018, 06:15:16 PM
It is normal such falls have already happened several times. Only the amounts were smaller. But the percentage was similar. There's nothing to worry about. This is a good time to buy BTC.
True, bitcoin prices up and down is a natural thing. Although down but the rate is still higher than the lowest price last year. Nothing to worry about, keep calm and buy some bitcoin.

You are right about there is no reason to worry but I think the reason of the recent fall is manipulation and panic selling. a lot of retail trader is in fear and most of them are selling in panic.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What encourages you to invest in any altcoin? on: January 25, 2018, 06:13:45 PM
the most important thing I was encouraged to invest in Altcoin I want to invest some of my money in Altcoin because Altcoin price is increasing from time to time.
The same here, speculation is the most encouraging thing to invest in any of Altcoins ;-)

my encourage point is different a little bit. I have witnessed some of my friends caught 1000x alts that brought them a millions bucks each. so I want to catch the same thing.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees are killing/have killed Bitcoin.... it is sad but true. on: January 24, 2018, 06:22:06 PM
Only a few years ago we had a growing number of shops here in berlin that you were able to buy food and/or drinks from for bitcoin. Right now there are no more of these stores left. And most of the sellers I used to buy things from on the big marketplaces now refuse to trade bitcoin too and changed to etherium. I know for those people that think that bitcoin is the new gold it is not that bad but bitcoin was "released" to be something completely different. Right now bitcoin is no real crypto currency at all. Buy a coffee for 2,5 bucks and pay 25 bucks fee.... sure.......... In my opinion bitcoin completely failed because of these fees and I sold every last satoshi and invested in other crypto currencies. Is there a single reason to stick to bitcoin? If yes, please feel free to tell me!

who would you buy a coffee using bitcoin? dont you have cash, lol but i see your point, your example are too simply not to be ridiculed at, sorry. As for the fees are concern, true, it does make bitcoin fall (partly) though it is not the main reason for this fall on bitcoin, you have to consider the trend which newbies follow. the fees are already there and given, that is how trading goes when you deal with exchanges. maybe the stores in your place only tested bitcoin's capabilities to compete with fiats. they are also experiencing hassles in their own exchange sites, so they stop and the other stores follow. what matters is what you believe, believe in bitcoin and make other investors to rely on bitcoin too. do not post negative stuff like this, the only way for bitcoin to go up again is to keep it for a while and make room for law of demand.

Yes, that is not the main reason for bitcoin's current fall but anyway those high transaction fees are one of the major obstacle that btc was struggling with. His example is actually right. When the blockchains are integrated to our life completely and even if you buy very cheap things you'll have to pay way more.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin uptrend now? on: January 24, 2018, 06:18:50 PM
market is green today. Do you think the uptrend is coming?
Do I should invest some?

You should have bought during the down trend and not in the up trend. Cryptocurrency investing is the opposite of a stoplight in streets. When the trend indicates Red that is the time for you to Go and invest and not the other way around. Recently, the trend of bitcoin is really fluctuating and seasoned traders are taking advantage of it. It seems to me like they are playing with the current trend that's why it won't reach to $12K again.

That's right. If you see it is going down you should buy more. If you analyze 2 years graph you will see that this strategy is working pretty well. As far as market is not crashed completely, you will make money with this plan.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to Buy? on: January 23, 2018, 01:39:11 PM
I think cryptos have just bottomed out for now. Probably is time to buy.Everyone seems to be shit scared.  Opinions?

Yes it is time tp buy why ypu all are afraid and scared to buy cryptocurrency. They are just falling temporarily and that is normal for them knowing that they have a volatile price. It is like an advantage for all of you if you buy the cryptocurrency with them having a huge downfall especially those who sre known to be successful in the market pile ethereum. Because after weeks or months they will absolutely gonna rise back up again and your money will also rise up and rhose whp didn't believe sipl regret not buying those.

I am not so sure about it. There is indecision in the market at the moment. It doesn't either go up or down. We will have to wait and see who will win the battle, bulls or bears. Only after that we can decide what to do.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why major correction happen in bitcoin on: January 20, 2018, 11:07:01 PM
It's not certain that they'll reach new all time highs. The correction happened partly because of the futures expiring close to that day, and with all the FUD going on with South Korea and Asia. The market is still about $100 million short of what they were a month ago so we'll see what happens.
The price is going to get a whole bunch of pumps when the customers find that the price right now is nothing.

I'm not sure about that. Little recovery started already but correction may come a bit later maybe in a week or so. The reason is the major bitcoin holders are accumulating their position before the pump I believe.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Airdrops Profitable? on: January 19, 2018, 03:23:41 PM
I'd say most airdrops are not profitable, if generally not even worth the time. The coins you get are generally super low anyway so. Can just make some money by working and buy some cheap altcoins here and there instead.

Unfortunately my experience with airdrops are the same. In my case %95 of the airdrops that I have participated (which I've done a lot up till now) was not profitable so I lost my motivation for airdrops anymore.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges (and people) need to stop using BTC as base currency on: January 19, 2018, 03:22:23 PM
Let's just face the facts, shall we (even BTC fans/bagholders)

BTC transfers are nerve wreckingly slow.
BTC transfers are disgustingly expensive.
BTC is at the mercy of chinese gigamines.
BTC experiences sudden enormous swings that appear out of the blue.

And every time BTC does "its thang", the altcoins move with it, since BTC is the most widely used base currency at crypto exchanges. This causes unnecessary stress for people who own coins that actually work as a means of payment or have some other intrinsic value.

BTC is a big old lazy animal, its only virtues are being the first and, consecuently, having no 1 market cap now. But that is changing. Just look at the BTC dominance number on Coinmarketcap. Used to be over 60% not too long ago, now it's 34%. And when BTC loses its no 1 status, what follows then? Likely a collapse, that could bring the whole crypto market down. We need to untie well functioning coins from this dinosaur so it wouldn't bring the whole crypto market down when it decides to die.

I actually really like the way you posed this post. I may not agree with it, but it was clear and concise -- something this forum needs more of.

While it's true that BTC transfers are rough at the moment, the lightning network will likely solve most of these issues. Even if it does, and as you stated, bitcoin goes to the bottom, there are many coins ready to take its place. Ethereum has been in the green for the past few weeks while all the other coins have dropped. Essentially, I think we're going to start to see altcoins that IMPROVE on each other rather than just create more and more ICO's and ideas. At that rate, there will be a strong coin to take bitcoin's place.

Agreed. Very well described why it is not a good idea to take btc as base currency. I think most of the people is suffering from this problem but first time I see that is explained in a good way. We all know that btc was the initiator factor but that doesn't necessarily mean that should be taken base currency.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is holding bitcoin Greedy? on: January 18, 2018, 12:39:19 PM
No you are just being wise. Well if holding it is greedy then saving a real money is greedy? Buying things in the stock market and sell it on a high price is greedy I do not think so. You do not even harm people on those actions you are just being wise since, you will face failure daily if you are not wise. It may sound greedy but it definitely not literally.

Totally agreed. Holding bitcoin is not being greedy at all. It just shows that you are a professional investor. The reason is that if you make technical analysis on bitcoin price graph you will see that it is still in bullish trend. By knowing this, it is totally good to hold.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Deep Onion on: January 18, 2018, 12:37:54 PM
Bitcoin and DeepOnion are different coins as bitcoin is a market leader and DeepOnion is a growing altcoin which just start its journey 3-4 months back but gained momentum from last few days but cannot be compared with Bitcoin.
Why compare some altcoin with Bitcoin? Do the price of Bitcoin with other people's coins and see that their difference is very large. Let Bitcoin have fallen from 20,000 dollars to 13,000 dollars, but its price is still quite huge today and no altcoin will compete with Bitcoin.

That is true. Why do you compare an alt coin to bitcoin the king? And couldn't you find another alt even if you want to compare it with btc, for example good boy ether or neo? seems like some onion signature holder want to seem nice to their dev.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free Fall!! on: January 17, 2018, 11:23:28 AM
Well, it seems that it's normal to gain 2000% in less that a year, but now every one cry to disaster because there is a fall of 25%...
C'mon, this is the market.

Very good point mate. When it was growing 200X like crazy, everything was natural and now it went a bit down and people are behaving like they lost everything they had. If you really want to become a pro trader, you have to learn how to get rid of your emotions.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite mobile app to track coin price changes/news? on: January 15, 2018, 02:05:40 PM
I mostly use coinmarketcap when on laptop, otherwise from phone i just use a telegram bot on phone to know about the current prices of any coin.

I also use coinmarketcap on my laptop, it is very simple and fast to use. some of my coins are not listed on coinmarketcap, for those I'm going to etherdelta to check current price. On my mobile phone, I'Ve started to use blockfolio but app needs a lot of improvement.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Make Money in Crypto on: January 14, 2018, 02:25:18 PM
Find a job that pays you a crypto or bitcoin like participate in bounties to this forum then if you have skills it is a opportunity to earn and most of all invest with ico to earn also crypto many ways to earn here just gain knowledge first that to show you how you can earn easily.

There are much more ways to make money in crypto. Most profitable one is investing or trading but for this you need to have some capital to invest. I case you don't have any money to invest, then you can participate to bounty campaigns.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts are Bleeding What To Do? on: January 14, 2018, 02:23:43 PM
you can hodl , run around in panick, sell everything and buy something nice. lots of options on what to do

Good summary on what can be done but it doesn't seem like helping to the person who is asking the question. First of all my main advice would be to you that you should learn to be calm even if your coins are going down. Most of the times good coins makes you profit in long run which means when you wait and don't sell them .
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ? on: January 13, 2018, 04:54:37 PM
I think it's very possible. Demand and supply are depend on user.
Considering transaction fee and transaction time from bitcoin side, I think ETH has more chance to reach BTC level.

Up till last month, I thought it is impossible to beat bitcoin but you are right. If bitcoin doesn't solve its transaction fee and transaction time problems, eth might be more in demand comparing to btc.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why aren't there more women in Bitcoin? on: January 13, 2018, 04:53:21 PM
I agree. Men compared to women is more accurate in business like this. Especially when it comes to technology and stock market. Men are more knowledgeable in doing this kind of market. But nowadays theres some women who are wise too in doing Bitcoin.
Well I think because most of man are focus on technology than the women, they love exploring, surfing, and play on their gadgets and it's always been the case even in our country. Women are like focus on what is more important in their life like their family, school, work, chores and others. They are not going to waste their time in facing their computer whole day while there were lots to do everywhere.

Very interesting observation. I didn't think about it before, seems like you guys are right. I think the reason why there are not  many women in crypto currency market is because they are not really into investing, I mean majority of them. Of course there are some exceptions.
