1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [POS][MASTERNODES] Lunarium Coin XLN on: April 05, 2019, 11:25:30 AM
Really guys what is the idea behind the project if it is not a secret?
If we exclude that it was done just for the sake of interest? What will your project be different from a million of such projects in the field of masternodes?

this is hard to answer if there are really no concrete plans in the first place. this is where most masternode projects failed to address. and so you will know the true intentions of a specific mn project. if it is just to sell their coins or masternodes or if there will be some applications for their coins? a masternode buyer should be wise enough in selecting his mn as most of them have very short lifespan. once the dev team got their money, they're gone. will use one of my fave memes here.  Tongue

the dev team can prove us otherwise. they can always prove us wrong with our assumptions. and for me, that is much better.

Hi,

I'm a member of the team. First, I don't think we have to prove anything, to anyone. We can tell BS, like other coins, have a fancy whitepaper promising the Moon, etc, but be gone in a couple of months too. Instead, I invite you, and any other people that wish to know more about Lunarium Project, to join us on Discord: https://discord.gg/4nFZeJr

We are a (friendly) community coin from the start, started from a team of people that were scammed by "yet another PoS MN coin", but decided to build something together.

Our efforts right now are focused on stabilizing the source code, ironing out bugs in the wallet, improving the wallet so it is one of the best, if not the best, out there. We think that a great coin should have a great wallet too. After that, we plan to expand the use of Lunarium outside the PC Desktop so it can be used to do transaction on small devices (IoT, Android TV boxes, mobiles, etc.) to big data center and transactional web sites.

As for your affirmation "once the dev team got their money, they're gone", I can assure you it's quite the opposite... We have invest time and money in this, and we are in it for the long term. Not for a quick buck!

Thanks for your comments.

Etienne.

Version 1.0.2 of the Lunarium wallet has been released and we recommend anyone staking to upgrade due to a previous bug in v. 1.0.0 where staking occasionally has been stopping. This is a non-mandatory update and there is no need to update masternodes.

so this is the reason why the price in crex is slightly going up? exchange's price need to surpass the 40 sat mark so people will buy you in discord at 40 sat asking. very tough situation in the market right now

As stated in the ANN on Discord, if nobody buys XLN OTC, the team will buy them to fund the listing.  So, independently of market price, the 500,000 XLN will be sold. We are just giving the chance to the community to participate before the team buy the remaining of the XLN.

Will there be any bounties or airdrops?

Sure. The team have not decided yet when, and how we will be running them. Best way to stay informed is to join our Discord server.

Another coin which uses Quark algorithm.
PoS and Masternodes. Can the team give readers a bit more words on the most promising characterizations of Lunarium Coin, please.
Personally, I have witnessed lots of scam PoS / MN coins released recent weeks.

I can tell you what Lunarium is not. Lunarium was started by early investors of Solarium (SLRC) which we feel felt in the category of PoS / MN coins you mentioned. I spare you the drama, and the details.

I think it is nice to know who is behind Lunarium, we are investors, like other members of our community, that benevolently launched Lunarium because we felt that SLRC had a great community. We also invested in other MN coins, some that succeeded, other that were other scams.  What we learn is when the whitepapers, milestones, etc are too ambitious, and look too good, it is probably because something is not right, or that coin has infinite finances...  We try to not repeat that, and promise the moon.

Right now, we are focusing in finding the right partnerships, improving the wallet (fixing old bugs from PIVX, Bitcoin, etc.). We will post new milestones, and goals here and on Discord when we decide and commit on them.

Thanks for your interest.

I had a crash this morning on Linux with DSTM Miner v0.6:

*** stack smashing detected ***: ./zmminer terminated

 Huh

Could you pls provide your startup configuration?

Again this morning, same error message.

I don't use a config file, I call zmminer in a bash script:

./zmminer --server $server --port $port \
          --telemetry \
          --user $worker --pass x \
           --time >> "$log" 2>&1

Thanks

Ok thanks, will do.  I've restarted the miner pointing to NiceHash.

Any plan to have "auto reconnect" command line option?

Hi Dstm,

First, thanks for your miner, the last update seemed to be pretty stable for me (Linux, 5x1070 FTW2 + 1x1070ti FTW2), but it crashed this morning with this message:

2017-11-23 06:20:35|#  GPU3  server set difficulty to: 000f0f0f0f00000000000000...
2017-11-23 06:20:35|protocol version 00000000 not supported

I was connected on Nicehash with Equihash protocol.  I was running it for 4 days staight without any problem...  Any idea what could be the cause?

Here is the command I used:

./zmminer --server equihash.usa.nicehash.com --port 3357 --telemetry \
          --user MY_NICEHASH_WALLET --pass x \
           --time >> "$log" 2>&1

Thanks!

ZM didn't crash - it exits if it receives invalid data from the server. It looks like the server submitted an invalid protocol number. It might be something which won't happen again...  so pls report if this happens again.

Hi,

I'm trying dstm's zcash miner under Linux Mint. I'm dumping the output in a log file, then process this data with a script to draw a graphic of the rig performance over time.  I'm using the --time option to have the timestamp added. Currently, the time is shown in 12AM/PM format.  Is it possible to have the timestamp in 24H format instead?

Thanks.

Etienne.
