1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Prevent been a crypto addict. on: July 25, 2019, 11:27:28 AM
honestly, it is getting serious that most people spend over 18 to 19 hours these days on systems and mobile phones watching the market, trading on the move with their mobile. the addiction is getting out of hand. i think i am probably getting into this kind of life.
what could be the possible means of prevention. i need to have my normal life back.

I think that is the worst I have heard of their crypto addiction and I highly advise that you consult a specialist in psychology or whatever that is good in that area. But if you want to take my advise is don't put apps or bookmark website anything related to crypto in your smartphone and just check it in your pc. And also practice to have a distraction like a good show that you really like.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are USA traders saying sayonara to Binance? (The Exodus Is Here?) on: July 25, 2019, 11:19:19 AM
What exchanges are US users currently using to trade alts besides binance and bittrex?

Kucoin, Poloniex. There's also Coinbase Pro if you only want to trade about a dozen of the larger altcoins. Huobi also has a US site now (which I haven't tried yet) with a couple dozen altcoin markets.

I think Kucoin is the only option besides Binance that allows unverified accounts.

So now we can clearly see things are not 'goodbye' for our beloved USA traders. Kucoin is not bad but I agree that it has not the charm and huge volume of Binance and CZ. I think this will also serve as an opportunity for Kucoin to step up on their service and they can be the top exchange for USA traders. And like the others said, VPN will always comes in handy.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: should i continue trading ? on: July 25, 2019, 11:06:20 AM
2 years? If that is really true then I think you should stop trading and face that reality. Op posted this on January so he must have started on 2017 or the 4th quarter of 2016 which you should have enough time to accumulate many tokens and btc and earn in 2017 all time high. But like you said, you did not experience which means you did not withdraw profits and continue HODL when we are in all time high.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Does China Control Bitcoin? on: July 25, 2019, 10:57:58 AM
No, they don't but it's more likely that they have more than half of the current supply of bitcoin right now. The last update that I have read from their latest analysis on btc is very positive which makes me think on what I said is really true. They can't control bitcoin but it is very clear that they can control btc price to makes cash from dumping and pumping.
5  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-24] Circle and Poloniex moving from the US, regulatory uncertainty on: July 24, 2019, 12:13:02 PM
That's a shame. I guess these big crypto companies like Coinbase will have to focus their markets on Europe, Russia and Asian countries. And I also feel that it is going to happen in the long run because their big boss Trump is not really  impressed with the blockchain technology. Trump only cares and protect and what he has which is a lot of fiat.
6  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-12] $2.28 Billion - Estimated loss caused by Crypto Crimes on: July 24, 2019, 11:59:54 AM
It is always good to see the mainstream media trying hard to paint Bitcoin in a negative light, despite having enough proof at their disposal to rubbish such arguments. Let's look at the annual turnover of some of the illegal businesses.

a. Illegal narcotics trade (Opioids including heroin, cocaine, synthetics including methamphetamine): worth more than $400 billion per year.
b. Counterfeiting: worth $250 billion
c. Illegal arms trade: worth more than $100 billion per year
d. Human trafficking: worth around $32 billion per year
e. Illicit Wildlife Trade: worth more than $10 billion

Now don't tell me that Bitcoin is the culprit behind all this, despite less than $1 billion worth of coins being used for such purposes every year.

I think it is still not fair to compare the billions of money lost from bitcoin to those crimes because first of all, it's not bitcoin doing crimes but it is mostly about exchange hacks and the rest are scams. The counterfeiting of fiat alone is enough to not criticize bitcoin so much with all the negativities they throw on it. Bitcoin is doing better and the later years will prove that the crimes above will be lessen with the blockchain tech.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the price of Bitcoin if Donald Trump can ban Bitcoin ? on: July 24, 2019, 11:50:18 AM
People on the comments saying trump cannot ban bitcoin but did not think about getting jailed if they continue owning and trading bitcoin once their president impose it. Trump just saying that he isn't a fan of btc has already made btc decline so think what damage it can deal to the price when he lose his head and bans it. US is very powerful and they can lead the worldwide ban of btc if possible.
8  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-12] Japanese Exchange Hacked for $32 Million in Cryptocurrency on: July 21, 2019, 07:18:28 AM
Why does this keep happenning? Have not they learned from the past recent hacks that sum up to billions of dollars? I agree with the previous comments about having ledger wallet and it should be mandatory for users of exchanges to own it before the can be allowed to trade. Having a ledger wallet should also be part of KYC process where they take photo with it to make the verification complete.
9  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-11] Bitcoin Price Slips 10% in 24 Hrs as Fed Raises Facebook Libra... on: July 21, 2019, 07:05:15 AM
The situation is very tricky because the more the government attacks Libra, the cryptocurrency are also affected especially bitcoin. I know the true decentralized community hate Facebook coin but when it gets positive feedback, it brings the whole crypto market up. I really hope that the people will be clarified that bitcoin is the true crypto and  Libra is just an imitation attempting to be one so any criticism in Libra will not hurt btc 's price.
10  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Dutch first to propose money laundering laws over crypto and cash limits on: July 21, 2019, 06:52:47 AM
Them being the home of the International Court of Justice shows that they want to be a good example when it comes to abiding the orders from a international body, but there's nothing final yet and I believe that it's just the Dutch minister's proposal to implement such regulations. If the proposal will push through with their country I will be nothing more compared to what other countries have now and that is KYCs as well as establishments such as banks being required to share information from their suspicious clients. The way I see it is there is really nothing to worry about.

Agree. In my country, you can't use btc exchangers unless you are KYC-verified. There is nothing to be afraid of you are doing nothing illegal. This is only to push the money launderers away and clean the crypto space and tell the whole world that we are regulated and prove that we want order and not cater to bunch of criminals using crypto for their own advantage.
11  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: trading and selling crypto is illegal. bank wants to know source of income on: July 21, 2019, 06:40:35 AM
bank questions for the source of income
i told them it from selling crypto and masternodes
they say it is illegal
so how to trick them into believing that the source of income is legitimate?
they asked for screenshots

they are about to close the account

.........
bank does not approve of transactions related to cryptocurrency, as they carry the risk of generating income through illegal operations.

Please send us documentation which confirm what source of funds was invested to cryptocurrency and the statement from the platform where we can see that your funds were invested and then the cryptocurrency was sold out.

I can relate except the masternodes and that is very unfortunate. Most of the big banks here in my country are very strict when you try to open an account. My other fellow traders told me that just told the bank staff that you have homebased job so they won't make many questions. But in this year, there are 2-3 banks trying to have a discussion of having the possibility of accepting crypto so I think your bank's view will change too.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs USD - Which one is better? on: July 21, 2019, 06:31:42 AM
I think banks are only useful when you have a huge amount of money and you are not going to touch them for a few years because if you are average salaryman and then you are spending a lot of money because you make active transaction with them. So in conclusion, the banks favor the rich while poor workers getting robbed quietly with small fees. Thus makes me choose btc as the better replacement for fiat.
13  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are You Afraid of KYC? on: July 20, 2019, 08:22:26 AM
ICOs  hiring 3rd parties to conduct KYC so I don't think there is anything to worry about. Only if the project itself did the KYC is the only situation I will worry about my personal documents. And also guys, the responsibility is in your hands. If you see a red flag about the project and asks for KYC then don't hesitate to refuse and just leave them.
14  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-19] Bitcoin Declared Legal Commodity in Chinese Court on: July 20, 2019, 08:10:15 AM
I am not sure if I should be shouting in joy with this news or should I again treat it with some grain of salt as we know that as far as cryptocurrency is concerned China is known to be sending very mixed signal to the whole world.

It's China, so there is no point in getting excited. I can't remember how China ever contributed to something of positive nature during their glory days. It was always drama related.

Chinese people interested in Bitcoin have found their ways to still buy it, so it's not that we need anything from them. Let China just hold off and be hostile towards anything they consider a potential threat. Bitcoin has grown immensely without the China as we know it back in the days. No China means way less drama. Good riddance!

Obviously nothing reason to become excited about this news, I remember before china government declared totally ban of crypto currency because they to make own digital currency. So I doubt this news possible this only a press realese or china want get attention for the community or whasoever purpose about this news.

Agree , I laughed when I saw this because it seems like they were trolling us or the ban was intended to FUD the community so they can buy a big bag of their bitcoins. I hope China would make this their last verdict for bitcoin so we can have a smooth sailing towards the value of $100k or $1m. But I am also gald that China did not do the opposite or we will be back in the dark days of the bears.
15  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-19] Bitcoin is a ‘Demographic Mega-Trend’ Survey Concludes on: July 20, 2019, 07:57:24 AM
One look at this survey and the most important thing it's telling us is that older means less interested in bitcoin. Young people are less brainwashed by years of living without basic freedoms and with stupid bankers telling them they need a credit and that money is safest in a bank.

I wouldn't expect more from 70 year old people who associate a bank with a big steel vault filled with bags of money.

If I was also 60 or 70 year old, I'm sure my reaction to bitcoin would be also be the same. Many of the old people I know still stick to the things that they are used to even though that there are already technologies that exist to make things better for them. They are very stubborn if you force them to use it like using applications on smartphones. But the most significant thing is that we got most of millennials in favor of bitcoin.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin so valuable just because it was first? on: July 20, 2019, 07:43:22 AM
Of course, not and as far as I know there was a cryptocurrency that was released before bitcoin and it was not successful. I don't remember that coin but you can research it has the problems that bitcoin was able to solve like the double spending. Bitcoin is only goes first if we a talk about a breakthrough on cryptography. I believe that its the community who supports it makes the most of its value.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Dominance on CoinMarketCap on: July 20, 2019, 07:32:57 AM
The dominance is still staying above 65%, despite some late fight back from the alts. The trends indicate that the market share of Bitcoin will continue to increase, reaching 70% or more by the end of this year. And it will increase further next year, as a result of the upcoming block reward halving. Right now I don't see a good future for any of the alts.

That makes sense because bitcoin will be the ultimate reason for people to buy crypto currencies. Investors are also smart not touching altcoins for now because of the great effect that the halving will give to bitcoin. I expect altcoins to go very quiet for now and its time for moon season is after a few months of the bitcoin halving.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price in December 2019 on: July 10, 2019, 07:56:57 AM
What do you think about Bitcoin price movement? What will be the year ending situation? I believe it will be around 10k to 12k USD. Let's hope for good things coming and let us know your thoughts.
Thank you.

I remember having the same guess of btc price same as OP when the bull run haven't started yet. But now $20k is not even a question of if we can reach it again. Most likely is when will we reach $20k or what will be the the new all time high. With bitcoin everything is possible and the coming events of the future will really give btc more than enough gas to reach not just the moon destination.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Billionaire wants to buy 25% of the bitcoin supply on: July 10, 2019, 07:23:31 AM
I wish not, I mean not now. Those billionaires should be the last people to buy bitcoin if ever they had the riches to have the 25% of its supply. Just imagine guys if they already have bought  that supply on this year and someone is very good at manipulation and make them panic then it's a massive dump where $1k is not even the bottom of it. They should help us reaching $1m after btc reached $100k or $500k.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin and altcoin on: July 10, 2019, 07:01:41 AM
in these days bitcoin had a strong rise, but the other coins seem to be standing at the stake, is there a reason?
do you think that the whole market can be resumed? or will most of the altcoins fail in these months? sorry for my english=)
There's some reason why some altcoin are still not move up but in the end that altcoins will follow the growing price of bitcoin.Just be patience because not all will get easy in crypto it takes time to grow.

People are all expecting a breakout from the altcoins but I know that it will take much more time before it happens. It's 1 and a half year before that even happened and I think 2 years will be enough for our wait. You guys better stocked up those good projects that has sunked down 100x and above from their moon price because they will make lucrative roi when it start to rise.
