...to make wallet start synchronize. Would be nice to see more nodes from dev in OP post (I found these in Discord).

Is it still profitable to mine this coin?
NO. Block reward is ridicilously low now because network hashrate is very high. We'll see some profit if XMG price makes (or block reward) will make x50 at least. I was getting like $0.1(XMG 0.1)/day per 6-core i7 and dropped it. Just a few months ago same CPU was making up to 25 XMG/day.

Reward per block should increase according to new Magi reality and bigger hashrates IMO. "Ignoring to let it go away" is not working so far, those evil whales (lol) stay for some reason and we all enjoying 0.7 XMG/block.

Magi team already mentioned that. Big miners would earn more with using there big hashrate to mine other currencies. If they leave the blockrewards will go up & thats better for the miners who do understand the Magi project. Thanks for your opinion here! Next time use black its easier to read.
For some reason those "big miners" stay mining XMG and keeping block reward below the ground. We discussed earlier and I still don't see an answer to a simple question: what Magi team going to do if we couragesly face the fact that current hashrate can be kept for months or years? ...or maybe some changes to reward system according new reality?

Oh, I really like what (and how) 111 quotes and answers for last 10 pages. This talk goes like: - Devs do you realize that mining became sub-zero profitable because your perfect reward-lowering mechanic not adapting grown hasrates? - Magi will rise, Magi strong! - I like you Magi, the weather is good now, praise XMG! - Under His eyes! (c) This is perfect, just perfect.
Still curious what will happen if some "whales" stay mining XMG with multi-MH/s workers, you know, just for lulz.

I just stopped mining. It's not worth it... sry too much hash power by whales
Same here Maybe I'm already a whale - with 4770 and 1700X, not sure.

Magi had the issue with the large miners before. They are trying to frustrate other miners. If smaller miners don't give up they will leave. Its the competition in the crypto-world! Keep up the good work. Magi team is looking into the options to this issue, like we did before. Proof of mining. As you all know Magi team & community are very strong. Magi never gives up!💪
Not sure if having roughly 200-250 kh/s makes me a big miner, but I had some profit with that in past, like 10-25 coins/day. Their price was 4-5 times lower but still there was at least a reason to mine. With current 0.1 XMG/day I prefer to miss the party because even if XMG will grow up to $10 it's nothing. But you realize that current price level keeps for only reason right? Transfers to exchanges are blocked. No offence here Magi Team - I'm just being fair.

We will not tolerate farms mining Magi. You will be banned and your earning confiscated and restributed.
Such friendly, much magic. Will ignore your pool even if it will remain the only one. Love and kisses!

So far 0.1-0.12 XMG in 10 hrs with roughly 220 kh/s on 2 pools in summary. Call me when there will be some profit

I was interested about this coin because it made sense to mine with a PI. On https://xmg.minerclaim.net top 15 users are making more than 300KH/s...Top 1 is making more than 1600..come on... Please enforce the limits.. Not my business ofc but even with normal to high block reward (20-40 XMG) you'll barely make more than 1-2 coins/month with 10-12 kh/s at current network/mining state, maybe it's better to invest $5-10/month simply buying coins?
|
|
|
Well while block reward is such unbeliveable huge (0.4 XMG lol) I honestly don't bother about those "cheating" multi-MH/s guys I miss fall '17 when moderate CPU like 4770K was making up to 10-25 XMG/day sometimes

Any estimated date on the update?

just out of interest have you tried overclocking and running it at 100% to see what the max hashrate is?
Will not try to overclock cuz I have potato-grade cooler but will check what hashrate I can get with e=100 when mining will be possible. I'd not expect more than roughly 20-30% additional hashrate anyway (compared to e=70).

|
|
Blocks will be orphaned anyway untill fork is complete.
Running pools will show with amount of miners and hashrate of the pool.
You're right sir, thats why I set miners off on all PCs P.S. For some guy was asking earlier: Ryzen 1700X ~ 5820K (I have both), 120-140 khash/s with e=60...70 (allows CPU to do everything else you need except gaming or rendering while staying warm, not even hot)

Is there a pool running? I have several servers available to speed things around here. https://poolinfo.systms.orgCheck link above. Some pools are up & running, some will roll in after hardfork. Magi already receives confirmation from those! Well I was mining (was trying to mine at least) at xpoolx few days ago and it worked pretty nice but then mining stopped same as before when "attack" happened. But I got 2 or 3 coins at least and blocks were not orphaned. Last block was found at Jan 1. If you check stats of those polls shown as "working" at your link you'll see that theres either no blocks or orphaned only since Jan 1.

Somehow problem is solved now, transaction passed. I think the problem was my connection mainly but not totally sure how it works. P.S. No firewalls etc.
|
|
|
But I assume that the total amount of XMG is also not reduced.
If you mean my total XMG balance then it IS reduced. I don't have these 350 coins anymore.

Which wallet version, please.
1.4.4.1 ofc Last block around 1511236? Yes, and now after like 5-7 restarts it's syncing properly. But still no match for my transaction in explorer.

Guys, can you please explain me whats wrong here. I'm still having sync issues - wallet only syncs properly on start. That said, I restarted it and sent 350 XMG to Bittrex address 25 min ago, the transaction appeared in the wallet but there's no progress there. It's signed with ? and no confirmations happening, so I checked at explorer and there's no match. Perviously I had some issues due to Bittrex wallet sync problems but this is a little different. Is there a possibilty that my wallet simply didn't send anything due to connection issues? Or we need some time now for transaction to proceed?
