Don't feed the trolls guys. This is one of the few teams shipping code.

This guys just pissed because he was dumb enough to ask for a presale refund. The eth price per already doubled.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO without Slack? on: September 16, 2017, 04:00:05 PM
More and more dev teams are refusing slack during ico time ,that's because too many scams happened through slack in their icos period.

Glad to hear it. I've been following projects on slack and telegram as each team has a different preference for where they make announcements. Enigma's seemed like a solid approach after their hack: one telegram channel for announcements only and a second for general chatter
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ICO without Slack? on: September 16, 2017, 03:46:44 PM
My phone is lighting up with slack notifications from scammers. Seems like every ICO is unable to close the vulnerability.

What are your thoughts on running an ICO and simply skipping slack as a social channel? Do people even care about slack when there's bitcointalk, telegram, discord, etc.?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you monitor your crypto portfolio? on: September 16, 2017, 03:24:57 PM
Google docs with some custom scripting around CMC's api. You get the best of both worlds (automation around current price and customized metrics)
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the list of alt coins on pre-sale? on: September 16, 2017, 03:07:34 PM
Same. IcoRating and IcoAlert are a couple of my go tos but I've never seen one dedicated to presales.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Would you trust ICO that is not listed on Tokenmarket.net on: August 31, 2017, 01:28:56 AM
Are they listed on any of the other listing sites (icorating, icoalert, smith&crown etc.)?

It's not the end of the world but it's becoming the norm to make an effort to be listing on at least some of the sites.

Check out the client lists of https://www.vanbex.com/ and https://www.mlg[Suspicious link removed]/

Connections count and companies like these definitely have them.

EDIT: link got removed. Just google "MLG Blockchain" if you want to look at their client roster
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about creating a ERC20 crowdsale contract? on: August 31, 2017, 12:26:17 AM
They can be programmed however you like.

Some immediately send funds to a safe place (multisig wallet) and others store the funds in the crowdfund contract until the sale is over.

My 2cents are to at least build in a mechanism to end early or cancel. Harbour DAO didn't build in an early terminate and ended up locking everyone's ETH for a month after they decided to cancel their ICO.
