Its interesting to see that as soon as bounty or airdrop is on the ANN thread title, people simply don't care if the ICO is scam or not.

Correct. And you get to collect a lovely list of tokens from all the ones that didnt quite make it past the first week.

just very recently (yesrterday in fact), ETH0 "dev" just closed the website and after less than a week https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2325851.0

and quite possibly faster too if you need to trade in a hurry. BTC can take forever and a day to make the required confirmations. And for noobs like me, experience can be an expensive teacher. Yes, im speaking of the fees  Grin
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON / TRX - What's the address and decimals for this coin? on: October 07, 2017, 06:24:19 PM
Suddenly I received 500 Tronix in my wallet at Livecoin! What does that mean? Why did I receive these 500 tokens equivalent to 1.38 USD? I searched the thread for this token and did not find it! Is this project to be taken seriously? Roll Eyes

Same here on my Liqui.io wallet...

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to participate in an ICO? on: August 31, 2017, 10:09:34 AM
Im a new to cryptos too.

As any would say, do the research although that can be quite tough on certain platforms and ICOs. I was burnt buying fake tokens with the same name as the official one for a while, not realising that the Asset ID is important for that platform. Plus there was no indication or signal for new users to check/verify their intended purchases (this has recently changed although it doesnt go nearly far enough to supply pointers for checking officially supported tokens)

Good luck with your crypto quest
