1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: July 17, 2020, 11:16:54 PM
Less than half an hour to go!

The Network Upgrade to 4.0 proceeded without a hiccup, and everything is running smoothly...

Congratulations on the hardfork everyone!

So in the year and a half I've mined this coin at the same hashrate, it's interesting to note that the overall data shows
my daily proceeds in Grin has increased about 10 fold (over the year and a half)
albeit my actual daily dollar value proceeds has remained near constant.
(meaning  hodeling this coin is not a good idea but I think most Grin-ians know that)

Just want to ask if grin++ is an actual or really a wallet for Grin coin? Tried to download up the wallet on said link but it doesnt work.So i decided to download g++.
Also, is there clear tutorials on how to mind this one even on a single AMD gpu? i cant search up clear tuts online.

Grin++ is a great wallet. I use it myself.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GMiner v2.09 Equihash/CuckooCycle/Ethash/ProgPoW/KAWPOW on: April 28, 2020, 01:31:00 PM
Still high cpu use age. Still high shares. Now has stability problems, lowered clocks seem to help. Please fix issues.

2080 - 1600 Mhz Core - 8050 RAM -> 135 Watt / 0,43 G/s
        - 2040 Mhz Core - 8050 RAM -> 240 Watt / 0,55 G/s

Same as GMiner 2.06

Which GPUs are faster now?

I’m seeing zero improvements to 2080TI. Curious which cards are 20% faster

Please fix C32 solver. Terrible cpu usage and sky high stale shares.  Cry
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GMiner v2.04 Equihash/CuckooCycle/Ethash/ProgPoW/KAWPOW on: April 01, 2020, 12:38:18 AM
GMiner v2.04 available for download

v2.04
+ added KAWPOW(Ravencoin) algorithm
+ added "--trim" parameter to contol additional trim round count for cuckoo24(qitmeer) algorithm, this options will help reduce cpu load

Still get tons of stales on c32. Any word on a fix?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ZenCash | Horizen - Officially Announces NO ANTI-ASIC FORK - RIP GPU Miners on: September 04, 2018, 11:25:40 PM
The pessimist in me says:
ASIC miners are holders, GPU miners are sellers / leasers.
Holders don't sell.
Scarcity increases price.

Large scale GPU miners sell. The people who just mine with their main computers and maybe get an extra GPU or 2 don't have high electric cost forcing them to sell their coinage.

Exactly. GPU miners lose so many coins to old wallets and other things. All of my ASICS point directly to my exchange and I sell daily and buy the coin I’m interested in.

My gpu might not make much these days but I have daily sell pressure on ZEC and buy RVN daily.

Personally I feel like the “community feel” dies once a coin goes asic. Also maybe not popular opinion but the horizon devs don’t seem like anything special to me. The only reason they got as big as they did was because Vosk shouted them out way back when. Otherwise they were just another ZEC clone.

I’m buying ASICS because my GPU are shit. That doesn’t mean I think ASICS are good. I think they will make most big coins incredibly centralized to the point where big miners market the coin. Kind of like Bitcoin Cash wanted to do. I guess when you don’t have an organic community left and it’s just a couple of guys with giant farms you don’t get the same sort of exposure that say ETH or ZEN in its early days did.
8  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ASGARD Asic miners: vapor staff, vapor ware...? on: July 02, 2018, 06:29:21 AM
Well my research on Asgard mining has led me here. Figured it was too good to be true. Thanks guys.
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 17.2TH/s, 1570W Innosilicon announces the most powerful and efficient BTC Miner on: July 01, 2018, 11:49:20 PM
It will mid 5s in summer and like 6.3c in winter.

That reliability is very worrying and I haven’t heard great things about getting them repaired either.
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 17.2TH/s, 1570W Innosilicon announces the most powerful and efficient BTC Miner on: July 01, 2018, 09:01:34 PM
Anyone else have these? I’m considering them but not sure if I should wait for GMO or Bitmain - with the price at $1080 they seem competitive and not much worse than GMO. Bitmain is of course silent so far but I can’t see their newest miner being much better than GMO on 7nm right?

This will be a large purchase for me so I want to make sure I buy the right ones.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: June 13, 2018, 12:30:38 AM
So what's the best cost/performance effective option for those of us with several GPUs sitting on motherboards such as the ASUS B250 which has 18 pci-e x1 slots?  Will there be some standard go-to motherboard?  I would like that very much and don't mind paying for it as long as it fits in with performance/cost considerations.

And... I've completed some survey but I don't know how accurately anyone could realistically hope to evaluate such surveys given that the consumers completing the survey still do not have accurate performance statistics or proof of concept.

I'm ready to purchase as many as would be feasible for a 14 GPU rig and perhaps more later but that all depends on performance and trust.

Well said. I would like to purchase as many as I need for 14 rigs but still need clarity on a variety of things.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoDredge 0.4.0: ‎NVIDIA GPU Miner (Windows) on: June 12, 2018, 10:36:22 PM
Working well with my farm.

Please continue your work on lyra2v2 - it’s a fantastic miner.

Have it running across 12 rigs and 72 cards - mostly 1080ti
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Allegedly Sold ASIC Miners Caked With Dust on: June 04, 2018, 02:35:10 AM
Yeah that is absolutely insane that they made as much as Nvidia.

Also I'm pretty sure my L3+s were used before I got them. Seriously Bitmain sucks.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Deception & Misdirection by ZEC co. Forking ASIC Resistance Bitmain Antminer Z9 on: June 03, 2018, 11:45:00 PM
I just want to say I feel pretty deceived and betrayed by Zcashco.

Seems like the thing to do would be to change the Equihash parameters which are known to be unnecessarily friendly towards ASIC design and find a research group to see the long term effects ASCIS have on cryptos.

Look at Dash - coin is dead. Unless you have sub $.05 per kWh you are in the red before facilities.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: March 18, 2018, 09:00:20 PM
I have added +2.5% in the bitcore algo. The x16r is almost done. I get around 15% bether return than the enemy miner. 24h testing.

When the x16r is done, we can purchase this miner?

If so, how does that process work?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HUSH Secure Private Messaging and Transactions [Equihash] on: February 27, 2018, 12:37:08 AM
Just checked whattomine and HUSH is actually more profitable than ZCL to mine right now.

Yeah its usually towards the top of what to mine.

Hashrate has followed the price luckily.

Nice job getting BTCH onto an exchange guys. Keep up the great work!

great pool btw. We could use some more miners guys. Suprnova still has most of the network hashrate.

Super glad that cryptopia is working again! Cant wait to see this coins back around $20.

Staking is working well. Bigger stakes but less often.

Consider making a version without Dev fee? Happy to pay you once if you make a version that has no reoccurring fee.
