2  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Should I trust no-kyc promise of basefex? on: December 10, 2019, 10:54:47 AM
I understand why people prefer non-KYC exchanges. They don't want to be identified in any way, but it is still necessary for security measures.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AML/KYC Explained on: November 29, 2019, 01:11:21 AM
I think KYC and AML is totally against the spirit of cryptocurrency and blockchain. I mean, all our community as about being anonymous and decentralized. And KYC & AML are killing it, imho. I cherish the exchanges, that don’t require them and actually stand for anonymity. Like Basefex, I recently found about them and their pledge looks kinda promising. Gonna look after them from now on.

I've played Zeus: Master of Olympus years ago and found out that it was available in Steam nowadays so I bought it. Luckily it was on sale. I'm happy.
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: How one person can change the world. on: October 10, 2019, 07:30:27 AM
snip~
Greta Thunberg will not be able to change the world alone, she needs others with the same passion with her

I think I saw her in my newsfeed quite a while ago but since were not on the same country, I just ignored it.

I definitely agree that one won't be able to change the world alone. She might be able to pique the interest of others but everything depends on the person if he/she wants to pursue what they were aiming for.

I do hope that any activity regarding climate change and pollution targets not only the young generation but the old ones also.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BitMEX alternatives? on: September 25, 2019, 11:52:16 PM
I will NEVER consider a KYC-requiring exchange as long as legit alternatives like BaseFEX are available.

some interesting bedtime reading about basefex: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5160738

Ironically I feel more favorable towards Basefex after reading that entire post. It is actually good to know their incapabilities in internal market making and were burnt by that, thus they are unlikely to attempt to do that again.

And if they do that again, still, that’s another wonderful chance for traders like me to take advantage of the platform. Even the dude complaining made big bucks from it, am I right?

(Sophisticated) internal market making gives a platform strong incentives to trade against traders, which is what everyone suspect Bitmex has been doing.

The real question is, do you want to put your money in scam-capable exchange or an exchange that is incapable of internal trading scams at all?

I will pick the second one.

I know this is pathetic. But the market calls for more naive fools than clever cons…
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BaseFEX - Crypto Derivatives Exchange You Can Trust on: August 07, 2019, 01:38:40 AM
I could be interested if you don’t use internal MM like BitMEX. Because when internal MM is happening, an exchange has incentive to cheat on users to be on the profitable end of the trade.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning bitcoin is hard but i still keep fighting on: August 07, 2019, 01:30:47 AM
Out of those mentioned above the only thing I am doing at present is HODLING. I am a lazy person so I prefer keeping my investment at bay. I want to try trading but I am not sure if I could keep up with the process, sometimes it is really hard digest every information you see online.

Years ago I tried the FAUCET. I did get a few BTCs there but then it is so little that you can't notice the impact on your coffers  Grin What I realize today is if you want to earn more, you need to take a risk.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a good amount to invest? on: March 24, 2018, 02:36:28 PM
For me the good amount to invest is how much can you afford to lose in case things goes bad. I know a lot of people who even sold inheritance just to invest in crypto as they see a very positive future ahead but I think it is not a wise decision to do as the crypto market is very volatile. It would be nice to see your investment going up but it'll be a bad experience if something goes up. Let's just be in the middle when it comes to our investment so we could still be positive whatever the result is.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: new holder of panic on: March 24, 2018, 02:16:57 PM
earlier this year I tried to hold some coins and tokens but saw the market and the exchange getting downhill, what is the best move to sell it or hold it?

There's no point in selling what you are holding now because of the market price so better to hold on to it until you see some profit on your investments. I believe that in the next few months these downtrend will eventually be an uptrend that would cause positive mindsets in the future.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Cryptocurrencies? on: March 24, 2018, 01:38:18 PM
My plans would be to hold on to them 'til forever  Grin I will keep investing as long as I have extra funds to invest. For now my portfolio isn't that great but I'm sure in time it will be something worth that I can call an investment. I made sure that I only invest an amount I can afford to lose so just incase things becomes worst (which I don't wish to happen), it won't hurt much on the budget.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think we will start seeing more or less altcoins in the future? on: March 24, 2018, 01:26:35 PM
As of the moment there's no sign that there will be less altcoins in the future as different ICO's keeps popping almost everyday. I think the real battle would be who will be the one who will gain the trust of those investors as I think there maybe a lot of altcoins and ICO's in the market now, investors will be more wise to invest as they will value quality over quantity first.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH dead as ICO cools down on: March 24, 2018, 10:40:59 AM
ETH's price when I first bought mine was around $250 so at its current rate I think it is still a profit if you bought last year. Unfortunately that is not the case for those who invested in the recent weeks as there was an all time high rate for ETH. Let's just hope that BTC price will raise in the next coming weeks or months as its dip greatly affected all altcoins especially ETH so I think if BTC pumps up, everything follows.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think this year will be Red? on: March 24, 2018, 10:17:09 AM
I really hope it isn't as there are a lot of people now interested in cryptocurrency and most of them are investors so seeing the market in red will definitely bring doubt to the public. Hope it rises soon because as of now I stopped looking on my portfolio and will wait probably for two months, hoping my port will be in green again.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why TRX is going down so dip these days on: March 17, 2018, 05:52:08 PM
I bought my TRX last January so it is at its peak that time which I still don't regret buying after two months. I am not sure what's the biggest factor affecting the downtrend nowadays but it will soon pass. Even though its dipping I am still positive that I will see some light soon on my investment coins. Let's just hold on for now and wait for that bullish trend to happen.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When can I expect my coins to recover? Feeling very depressed... on: March 17, 2018, 05:34:03 PM
We are not in the position to dictate what will be the price of those altcoins so just hold on to them for now. We are on the same boat as I bought my TRX, XLM, DRGN and ADA last January in their all time high glory. There's nothing we can do for now but to wait for its prices to go up as selling them would be a bad decision to make.  Just hang on their and we will see some light soon, hopefully.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Too many AI projects (?) on: March 17, 2018, 05:26:04 PM
I've known only Kepler a few weeks back and Synapse after that so I think having just two is good. But not a few minutes ago as I was checking some bounty campaigns to join I stumbled on another AI project which made me think that they are almost similar in some ways  Grin I guess the judgement will depend on each project's investor as how much they believe on their ICO.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC on: March 17, 2018, 05:07:24 PM
I'm one of those people who sent their real data because I value honesty the most! I participated and used my passport on about 3-4 times because it was needed on a bounty I participated but only ended up unable to participate because the registration was closed. It was really a bad experience so I promised not to use my passport on useless KYCs anymore.

Hope I really have that excellent editing skills to fake an ID as we will never know how they are going to use our identity for the sake of money.
