I am just starting and do not have much mining power to throw around but it is fun.

Yeah, power is a killer but 59 bucks is 59 bucks and a lot of education!

Plus you can always resell the S7 if you decide it is not worth the effort.

USB sticks are really only good for mining Alt Coins. The return on investment is measured in years. lol Unless you get lucky and stack an Alt that hits it big.

Using your Laptop CPU/GPU to mine is not recommended as it will cause thermal damage to the components long before you get enough return to buy a new machine.

The USB miners were really good several years ago but now they are really only good for experimentation. I do not understand why people pay so much for them. lol

I think the price will rise and fall in lock step with the closure of Chinese exchanges and resulting increase in supply during the selloffs. One thing the Chinese have is a lot of money.

Once the closures are over with price will stabilize until the new laws are in place and new (probably government ran) exchanges open.

Once the Chinese public are able to buy bitcoin en mass the price will increase massivlly for awhile as the demand quickly eats up the supply of cheap coins and then it will drop into a "new normal".

I am very new to BTC and I just want to say thank you to everyone here! I have learned a ton in the last few weeks that I have been reading.

I have been struggling to get a hold of any equipment. lol Even old gear is going for longer than a 6 month RoI. I would LOVE to find out what people are doing with all them 80 dollar 333MH/s - 2GH/s USB sticks. lol

I decided to make a modest upgrade to the video card in my old tower so I can experiment with NiceHash and test out the 5 month RoI of the new (older generation) card.

Anyway, thank you again for being a helpful group! I look forward to spending more time here.
