ckolivas - Which difficulty do you recommend me to set in the pool? 200/190/185/lower?

Hi everyone,

I have a 200GHs AntMiner (overclocked from 180GHs) and I mine at GHash.IO.
At first the graph showed me a lot of Low Difficulty shares so I changed the difficulty to 200.
After that I started seeing Stale Shares in the graph, either 200 or 600 per hour (not all hours, some had 0). I then lowered it to 190 and the stale shares lowered to 190/380 (again, not all of them, some hours had 0). I lowered again to 185 and then the stale shares were 185/370 per hour (some hours were 0). As you can see the stale shares are multiples of the difficulty setting.

Why is this happening? Is it normal? Is there something I can do? What difficulty do you recommend me to set?

While mining I sometimes get messages saying something like "Rejected X Diff Y/Y GPU 0 (Job 'Z' not found)".
1. What does it mean?
2. Is this something I need to worry about?

I am pool mining with cgminer (scrypt).

Right now I am getting about 389Kh/s and I don't succeed in improving it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for improving it? I want at least 400Kh/s

Do you know why did they drop support for GPU? Isn't it the main mining method (except ASICS, etc).

I am getting a warning:
"WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers."
Also next to the wallet is says "(out of sync)" in red.
I have bitbar-0.4.3 (QT).

Did anyone else had this?

I am new to mining and going to start this wekk with a radeon 7870.
I think I am going to mine Litecoin and BTB(BitBar).
Which software do you with is better and why (if any): reaper or cgminer (or maybe diablominer?)

Interesting idea to look for used GPUs, didn't think about it but now that you've mentioned it I did, didn't find too much though.
I think I really will go with the gigabyte, 3 fans should be better.

First of all thanks for replying.
Trust me I would love buying the 7950 and would love even more buying two of them. Unfortunately I have budget problems, additionally there's a graphic cards shortage where I am located and time is of the essence for me here
That's why I looked at dozens of cards and at their price, availability and performance until I narrowed it all down to these two options, which I personally don't have enough knowledge to determine which one of them is superior to the other, if at any.
Do you have an idea?
