How many coins should I expect to get with 120kH/s? I am barely getting any coins.
holy thread necro batman. I'd say about 4-5 /day... if you're in a pool of course, which you should be.

I'm interested in developing a new altcoin that has extremely high difficulty and low block rewards but starts with approximately the same value as bitcoin... Also, there will be no limit until the difficulty is so high until it is impossible to generate more coins...
Anyone interested?
Talk to NWO.

Isnt it time to stop temporary new alt. currencies? I am seeing one new coin after the other being introduced and its undermining the old coins.
your signature amuses me.

nobody with any sense will mine this.

So, any change on the N factor? Didn't see any modification with the difficulty ^^
I'm curious, was everyone imagining that when N increased, difficulty would instantly drop (and thus, block reward would increase)? That's definitely not how it looks in the code. i was hoping it to be like day 0 again, and judging by the hashrate in the pools that night i think quite a few were. the real question is if every n++ is going to break the pools.

watching this scamcoin fail is funny. I can just picture the "team meetings".
NWO: "okay so we each get 10k coins before launch." Praxis: "oh glorious leader NWO you take 16." OtherDrone: "Yeah man, your idea you get the richest!" Praxis: "I'm gonna buy a house with my riches!" NWO: "I'm so smart, we so rich!"
Nice job fellas. Way to do your part for the crypto-community.

When I put in gethashespersec it shows 0. But the cmd window is open and it shows that it's mining. Is it working right?
I just want to make sure, I solo mined yesterday in the morning and got some right away, but then got nothing for the rest of the entire day, just want to make sure I didn't mess something up.
the gethashespersec will only report the mining speed of the yacoin client, so long as minerd is reporting a hashspeed you're good. if you want to verify minerd is pointing at your wallet correctly, simply close yaccoin and you'll see minerd throw a connection error. reopen yacoin and minerd will reconnect

glad to see you step it up.

YAC was worth 1,368,509,400,000BTC in 1970 (I don't even know how to say that number) 1 trillion 368 billion 509 million 400 thousand

CPU is closest to be most fair game but AWS is problem. Botnets not that much, they deal with lot of crappy processors but aws has some serious power that is unfortunately exploited by some individuals with yac.
not really exploited. anyone can sign up and pay for it. thats like saying the rich have too much of an advantage with GPU mining cus they can buy more.

I was thinking more of a pool that could block ip blocks...ie only one miner from said block, the others have to wait in a queue.....
but the botnets are all over the country.

2million coins in the first 200 blocks... seems legit.

Sooo, is there a miner for win x64 that won't empty my wallets?
the wallet emptying was not true. a smear campaign put together by some people looking to make a quick buck.
