4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] Coinotron - New! Feathercoin pool !!! on: May 18, 2013, 06:13:40 PM
I switched port and worker to FTC to give it a try. I was showing hashing on the coinotron site, but that was a  while ago. I now show a good hash rate locally, but shares not increasing on FTC. If I switch back to LTC and then things seem to work right and counting shares. Is something wrong on the FTC pool, or is it something on my end?

10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why such restricted restrictions on Newbies? on: May 09, 2013, 01:11:35 PM
I think it is a reasonable requirement if you want users that aren't out to hit and run the place. May have to put the same type of restrictions on my forum that is not related to mining. I get flooded with spambots daily.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Want your opinions on mining rigs on: May 09, 2013, 01:08:32 PM
Please tell me more about this setup. Can I pay in USD, or do I need to pay in coins?

 Cool

I was going to check out your site, but it doesn't load for me. Can anyone else get to it?

I would try removing the overclocking long enough to test it. I know if I try and push an overclock too hard, I get a ton of stales. Also, try other pools.

In my earlier times, Ripple was a cheap wine with killer hangovers. Hopefully this Ripple has a better reputation.

Grabbed a copy and will take a look at it later tonight. Thank you!

Don't skimp on the power supply. While you can get a cheap processor, an overtaxed power supply can end your mining before you ever get a proper start.

Get risers so you can arrange the cards for proper cooling.
Have fun
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Hello! on: May 08, 2013, 04:11:52 AM
This is a variant of the long time listener, first time caller analogy in radio. I have been reading these forums for a long time, but decided it was time to get to doing something besides just reading.
I have been mining for a while. Nothing too hardcore, just a GPU or two, and so far, no asics in my future.

I want to start by thanking all the people and their work that made mining possible for me.
Thanks!
