1  Local / India / Re: People pay your Taxes on: May 17, 2018, 07:19:35 PM
Guys, calculating taxes on crypto trading is rather easy and there is no ambiguity even in the bsence of any clear IT notification. The artcles in media are rubbish. Taxation is straight forward for all you Crypto -INR trading pairs. However it gets messy and complex in case of crypto-crypto transactions.
2  Local / India / Re: How to pay Crypto Gain Tax in India? No guess only Experienced answer plz on: May 17, 2018, 07:12:12 PM
elucidate your exact source of crypto income and based on that i can reply on tax applicable. There is no straight answer as income from crypto can be from different sources....

I am actually paying taxes on the amount I am withdrawing from Indian exchange to my bank account , but after looking at new tax form , it's looks like government want us to pay taxes on what we are holding in cryptocurrency ,that is wrong , if my holdings gets zero by any incident , that's the uncertainty , so I support taxes on crytpo , but only on the amount we are withdrawing from exchange to bank , not on our cryptocurrency holdings
which new tax form u r talking about...?

As per the screenshot, its all good. you would get in 2 weeks if it has gone to their financial deptt.
Can you also post the screenshot of the refund request of 2nd week of October. They have cleared all refunds till 28th Oct. I think your request may have been in the last week of October.

I just checked they ignored 2 of my tickets which r created on 14 October and have replied to the one which was created on 29th October
thats what i thought as I had confirmed news that all refunds have been processed till 28th oct. i will know when the next round is processed. i will let you know.

Thanks.. I'm starting to lose my patience
Im even planning a trip to china
Its just strange that i have paid in July it's been six months
it doesn't matter when u paid. they are processing the refunds based on the date of refund request. and they do it in monthly batches.

8  Local / India / Re: Is Indian Government going to regulate Crypto?? on: January 03, 2018, 07:21:48 PM
i would rather prefer that govt. maintain status quo.
deal in cryptos at your own risk. i like this status as of now rather than regulations.
9  Local / India / Re: bitmain wont refund for the orders they did not deliver on: December 31, 2017, 12:34:14 PM
i got the refund few weeks ago as well.
AFAIK anyone who has asked for refund before 28 Oct have already received the refund, provided it was asked through a support ticket with subject something as "refund for india order". Xiru from their customer care takes care of the refund process. If your ticket does not get re-assigned to Xiru, refund will most likely not get processed because except for Xiru no one in the customer care knows anything about refund.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BITMAIN cancelling D3 Orders NOV Batch on: October 18, 2017, 11:57:48 AM
Today Bitmain cancelled many orders of D3 Nov Batch. The status changed from Paid Unshipped Valid to Paid Expired. The payments were made in August.

I know this is the case with many friends (from India).

I would like to know if  anyone else's order status changed to expired today and the country to which the order was required to be shipped.

There have been a few threads in this forum as far as Bitmain can't ship to India due to mining and whether it is legal.  Google search should find the threads.

Yes, we are aware of India shipping problem. But interestingly so far Bitmain is cancelling only the D3 orders (Nov Batch). L3+ orders (sept, oct) and PSU (Nov Batch) orders' status are valid at this time of writing.

13  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Best Graphics Card for ETH or XMR on: September 07, 2017, 03:39:26 PM
@legendster
Thanks for the heads-up. Had I bought one before posting here, I may have got stuck with the card or may have had to sell at below buy price, if newegg delivers to India and custom + shipping charge on the graphics card is below 5k.

I am not sure if you meant the card is priced below 5k? or you want to make 5k profit.

The way I see it you would include some surcharge for your own travel & expense in the price of the card, in a way the least someone would get a 10000 INR card from you is by paying you 15000 INR.

Then you have 2 issues, why would people buy from you cards that are that cheap and not buy from flipkart / local shop etc?
And if they can pay less than that 5k for shipment then why would they buy from you?

I have myself bought from newegg stuff worth $600 in total and didn't need to pay any customs or whatever.

What I am trying to say is, is there any significant advantage when it comes to buying from you?
Also, if you are looking to import expensive stuff that isn't available locally, say like a few dozen rare x3380 processors then why would anyone trust you? Are you offering some form of collateral for safekeeping with someone on this forum?

Was thinking of making 5k profit on a card of around 500 USD which is not easily available in India or available at an expensive price.

No customs for 600 USD from newegg. That's cool. When I bought L3+ in july, I had to pay 65000 INR customs + DHL handling charges. That was for 1 L3+ and 1 PSU!!! Have another coming in 21-30 sep batch. This I might sell on olx for 1 btc. had paid .9 btc as this batch was expensive.

Hi Guys,

I will be going to US for 2 days. Which Graphics Card is currently the most in demand in India? I am wondering if I can make a small profit by buying something like AMD RX 580 or Nvidia 1080 and sell in India. I will be able to buy only 1 piece and thinking of making 5k profit.
