1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Moonlander 2 Driver and Support Thread on: December 11, 2017, 05:22:53 AM
Hi,

I'm wondering if supplying 5V power on this plug works or not because my usb-hub is unstable.
Of course power for fan is supplied too.

Did you guys already try this?

there are 2 types of problem.

1) not working at all (it may be USB trouble but my power supply is very strong)
2) dropping down to kH/s

idk why... I really want auto restart function.
So I'm running 75 landers now, it outputs only 160MH/s... I'm sad...

These are working great so far!

Great setup, congrats. As you have packed that many in such a little space - are there any issues regarding heat dispersion? Looks really sexy Cheesy

wow. great.

I ordered too, but my shipment is not done yet...  Cry

any shipping/ production updates.  Probably get asked 10000000000000 times a day Undecided but i want them preferably before 17th November.

Same deal...im ramping up production this week and focusing on that. Bulk shipments to distributors should start going out next week. As long as your not at the end of the pre-order lists you should get it before the 17th.

Did anyone get already?
He said "Bulk shipments to distributors should start going out next week" on October 30th, so probably someone have already gotten.

I ordered some, but I haven't gotten yet  Embarrassed

Hi guys, I bought 2 of these but I will receive them in few months.
I'm a noob in mining, they are my first mining materials. I know they will come with some instructions but I would like to learn and be prepared when I will receive them.
Can you please point me to some good resources to learn about mining. I know they are plenty of them, it is not laziness, just want to know where to start and what is appropriate to know for these (algos, solo vs pool...)?

You have to learn about

- Mining pool
- Mining tool (like bfgminer, which may be distributed by jstefanop)

Can't wait for the delivery Grin

Do we have an estimated shipping date? Smiley

I want to know too, but just trust him and give him time to do the best work Cheesy

When I saw his picture of the production candidate (smaller than dev) and the following message of considering heatsink and small fan, I felt his passion for the product.
That is great. So I want him to do what he wants, to improve the product.

Are powering the miner externally?  Is there the possibility that there will be a set of test points on the board we could use to give 5 volts externally?

I think you don't need to do it because they are powered by USB, but USB hub (if you use) need to be powered.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2125643.msg21486145#msg21486145

It consumes about 5W normally (maybe around 4MH), about 1.5W/MH but it doesn't increase linearly. Please read the thread.

did you think about making the bfgminer driver coexist with the original moonlanders?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2125643.msg21268132#msg21268132

You mean that you don't want to run 2 instances of bfgminer?
So you want to compile bfgminer with 2 different Moonlander driver?
I don't know whether he is going to provide it.

Refer to this too.
