3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN BITCOIN on: June 15, 2018, 01:20:37 AM
Bitcoin could become illegal in all countries that bans child pornography after discovering this: https://www.sciencealert.com/bitcoin-illegal-almost-everywhere-after-shocking-blockchain-discovery-child-pornography

What can you say about it?

Well, I have a very simple answer to your question.  Crypto just like Fiat currencies are created for good purposes.  Let us accept the fact that people can also use them for illegal activities just like child pornography.  If crptos are to be banned because of this, then fiat money must also be banned. But I think, banning a currency does not stop an illegal activity like child pornography.  It could be prevented or at least minmize if governments will just focus on hunting people involved in these illegal activities.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PLAYSTORE and APPSTORE!! on: June 14, 2018, 03:22:40 AM
We are into gadgets, most of the people are addict on it.
We spent more of our vacant time facing our Cellphones and Ipads.

Playing games and downloading some apps on the store require payments, Is this the best time for those stores to open their payment method with cryptocurrency specially Bitcoin?

I hope and I think most of us do, that someday Playstore and Appstore will accept cryptocurrencies just like Bitcoin.  For me, "anytime" would be great for them to accept cryptocurrencies as payment since many are already into it.  I think the only thing that hinders this is the volatily of cryptocurrencies. Of course, it's business and every business owner wants stability.  But I think if they will open their doors to a third party to process the conversion from crypto to fiat currency, (so that Appstore and Playstore would get the exact amount they want for their service) then I guess this dream of using cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin, is not too far to be realized.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bit Coin is a Ponzi Scheme on: June 13, 2018, 02:25:27 AM
Bit coin is a Ponzi scheme. Don't listen to the bit coin shills on here. The newcomers buying into bit coin and driving up the price are just making the early adopters richer.

That's how stupid people are. A sucker is born every minute. But YOU don't have to be one like all the other bit coiners.

The USD is a valid currency because people are required by law to recognize it's value. It has value because the most powerful superpower on the face of the Earth uses it and backs it.

Where does bit coin get its value from? Some computer nerds living in their mothers' basements and Chinese speculators who say it has value? The few online drug dealers who accept it?

If you can't figure out that buying into a totally faith-based economy, with no regulation whatsoever, of a imaginary currency that only exists virtually, through a broker that has no compelling reason to give you any of your money back other than possible negative word-of-mouth, is a bad idea, then maybe you should really consider spending less time speculating on BTC and more time getting remedial education.

First of all, I just want to share to everybody here the definition of "Ponzi Scheme" because I guess you have a misconception on that matter. I want to quote from INVESTOPEDIA : "A Ponzi scheme is an investment fraud where clients are promised a large profit at little to no risk." Take note of the following:
 - When we buy Bitcoin nobody is promising us large profit.
 - Nobody says that when you invest on Bitcoin there is no risk. We all know that Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency which is volatile, so risk is involved.

Second point, Bitcoin is a VALID Currency. Let us read what wikipedia says: "A currency in the most specific use of the word, refers to MONEY IN ANY FORM when in actual use or circulation as a medium of exchange. We use Bitcoin to trade and buy commodities.  If it is not a valid currency, then we can't do those things.

Third, where does Bitcoin gets its value? Same with the USD, based on the demand. Take note, BOTH Bitcoin and USD are currencies NOT BACKED UP BY PHYSICAL COMMODITY.  Both their values are derived from the relationship between supply and demand. So, both currencies are faith-based.

Finally, I would say that the Bitcoin supporters don't need remedial education...

Just my thoughts... Thanks

6  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: One of the Largest Banks in the Philippines is Implementing Ethereum. on: June 12, 2018, 11:29:41 PM
This is a very good news for everybody here in the Philippines.

Conversion fee lang malamang from ETH to PHP. Tapos send natin sa sarili natin thru GCash or Cebuana). Masyadong maproseso at magastos.

Grin
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin Die because of global Regulations? on: June 12, 2018, 02:50:03 PM
This is only my thoughts...

If bitcoin will be regulated by the governments for taxation purposes or some legal intentions so that bitcoin wouldn't be used for illegal activities, then, I think bitcoin will not die.

The only time that bitcoin will die is when we are not able to convert bitcoin into fiat money.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you mean when you say Bitcoin is number 1 on: June 12, 2018, 02:38:27 PM
We are entering an era of multiple digital currencies, and many of them will survive. Bitcoin is certain to be one of them, but it can't be number one for every factor. Where do you think Bitcoin will stay as number 1

  • Store of value
  • Services in addition to simple money transfer
  • Convenience
  • Security
  • Investment/speculation
  • Safe transfer speed
  • Privacy
  • Freedom from globalist control
  • Other

I agree that bitcoin can't be number one in all the above-mentioned factors.  Bitcoin may not have the fastest transaction or may fall short in all the other factors.  But let's accept the fact that despite this, many consider Bitcoin as the gold of cryptocurrency.  In fact, it is by far the cryptocurrency with the highest adoption rate.  So, for me Bitcoin will always be number 1 in terms of Store of Value.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits? on: June 12, 2018, 03:08:54 AM
We all know how risky bitcoin is. Let's imagine the most riskiest money deposit situation.
What do you think guys, will this moment ever come and banks decide to offer us Bitcoin deposits (e.g. fixed profit on 1 year deposit and etc).
This can be very, very profitable for banks if they make correct decisions.
P.S I don't mean freebitco.in's offer of holds on their wallet. I mean if official banks ever offer us this service.

Well, as  I see it, there is a very slim chance for the banks to accept bitcoin deposits. If ever that slim chance comes into reality, then I think that the banks will not sync it to fiat deposits because of bitcoins volatility.  What I'm thinking is that if ever they accept bitcoin as deposit, they will also give interests in bitcoin and they will have a separate account for it.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more risky? Bitcoin or bank investment? on: June 12, 2018, 02:49:50 AM
As I see it, investing in bitcoin is more risky than investing in a bank. But the catch is, when you invest in bitcoin, you have a bigger chance of earning big compared to investing in a bank.  I think the reason for this is the bitcoin's volatility -- bitcoin's value may rapidly increase but at the same time, it may rapidly decrease, too.

14  Local / Altcoin Announcements (Pilipinas) / [ANN] [ICO] [Philippines] BIRDCHAIN - IM App That Sells Your Unused SMS on: October 25, 2017, 09:32:37 PM
www.birdchain.io

|  TRANSLATE IN ENGLISH  |

               ang nasasayang dahil hindi ito nagagamit;
           •   Ang mga negosyo o kumpanya ay nagbabayad hanggang 8 sentimong Euro bawat
