Nope not until you brought it up but it's a bummer they are trying to steal off of our branding. The OP on the tread has 0 merit at BTC and not much posts here and mosts posts are a bunch of ICO announecments. Also the domain name owner of the website is cloaked at whois.co, so they are hiding. I don't care for ICO's and I will be surprised if this one can get any traction... but only time will tell. As they say "Imitation is the best form of flattery"... Lets just ignore the thread and let it die it's own natural death (mostly all of the posts on the thread have been from members of this community!)  |

I have 2x Xeon E5645, not making much from mining, but indeed heating is not an issue in that room  May I ask please, which coins were you mining? Using it for storj as I have some extra storage to spare and CPU for aeon at the moment. Have you received anything from Storj? I ran their software for half month but didnt receive anything at all. |

Hello, I am fairly new to mining. I am having some issues with my wallet miner crashing while solo mining, and someone suggested that I use my hodl miner aimed at the wallet to circumvent the issue. What would I use in my batch file to do this? Thanks!
The network hash is very high at the moment. So in my opinion it is no good idea to start solo mining at the moment if you only have a usual PC. It will be very frustrating if you don't find any blocks for perhaps days or weeks. I would suggest that you start pool mining. You find different pools on the first page of this thread. Most pools have a short description how the batch file has to be configured. I have a decent cpu, getting around 500h/s which nets me 1-4 blocks per 8 hour session (1 with the current network hash) which is far better than the 2-3 coins/hour i'd get from pool mining (at least that's what I get from optiminer). My problem is the wallet crashing while i'm away so I'm missing half of the night of mining. I brought this up on github and they didn't know why the wallet would be crashing, and neither do I, but someone suggested that I point my hodl miner at the wallet to circumvent the problem. I don't know what batch code would work for that however, what stratum/tcp/ip address? Is anyone doing this, and if so, what is your full batch file code? Thanks again! For them 2 days are lasting more than month. So few hours may be translated as "maybe next weekend". The site is certainly working better - much faster. I can login, see my balances and previous orders. Maybe it's faster because it's still not fully functional but you can always hope... |

Yes but then you also have to see if you can sell all of your 68k coins at the current market price without driving it down? Is there sufficient liquidity in the market? I see only about 35k coins are on sale so most of folks are hodling their coins and mining but are not interested in selling. This is a new coin and growth potential is huge given the dev team so I would not advise you to sell the coins for cheap today, rather wait for a few months or year and get higher returns! |
