1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptogames - who has heard of them? on: October 24, 2021, 05:03:20 AM
Actually, axie is really overheated, so it is better to find another game where you need to invest money first (it is necessary), but that is not so popular yet. There are many new games. I have my eye on Dragonary, Sandbox,  Ember sword, Warriors of Ardena, Plants vs Undead, so you can do your own research of them if you are interested in games.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance promoting Shiba Inu on: October 23, 2021, 03:46:51 PM
It is certainly good news for shibu inu that can raise the price, but I don't think that this coin has such a good fundamentals to have constant growth in the long term. What is more, Vitalik Buterin sells his doge (meme coins), so I think that it is a bad sign for Shiba inu as well. This way he sold 6 tokens for the amount of 4,3 million of dollars. After this event, price of some meme coins decreased by up to 70%.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why is it difficult to apply TA on altcoins with low marketcap on: October 23, 2021, 03:40:29 PM
some time ago I bought an altcoin which has a low marketcap and trading volume. I bought after analyzing using technical indicators. After a while I realized something was wrong. it should be if based on my analysis the coin I bought has entered an oversold period and the price should have started to reverse. but in fact it never happened. the price may go up, but it doesn't last long and it goes back down. then I also bought another altcoin which is almost the same. and again, I also experienced the same thing even though in the end I got profit thanks to long-term hold.

Then I started thinking and wondering, why is it difficult to apply technical analysis to coins with low market caps. unlike bitcoin and other major altcoins whose movements are still predictable. Altcoins with low market caps are difficult and even impossible to predict. whether this is all related to manipulation or there are other reasons that make it difficult to predict.
The answer to this question is rather simple. We can use Technical analysis when we work with mainstream currencies or any assets that are popular and wide-spread as there are many traders around the world who see the same patterns and indicators and take the same steps, as a result, the market adjust to their actions and change the trend. But there is a low liquidity in low market cap coins, so nobody pump or dump price according to TA.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe BTC can be attacked? on: October 22, 2021, 03:46:13 PM
I just remembered the poly network heist, one of the biggest heist in the history.

Is there also a possibility BTC can be hacked?
If it is, I bet every currency will start to declined.
How safety BTC security for you?

Want to know veterans answers.  Undecided

Two years ago I was in a conference connected with crypto and it was said that there had been no such a powerful computer that could destroy Bitcoin's blockchain yet, so I think that in terms of it we are in safety now. What comes to polynetwork, it is just a defi-project, so hacker found an vulnerability in its smart-contract and stole money. But there is no Bitcoin's smart-contract and if someone changes something in Bitcoin's code it just will not be accepted by other computers.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To the Moon, To the Moon, Eventually people got bored fo moon landing!!! on: October 22, 2021, 03:38:52 PM
We are now reaching the bar of 13000 coins on Coinmarketcap,
I wonder out of that number how many tokens/coins you know are really real case use of blockchain and tokens futuristic capabilities? I think i heard of only one that is building now.

How much more Tokens can the industry welcome without succumbing to it's own lack of interest.
100 meme coins a week can only take us so far in the seriousness of this industry.

Do you have your way to find any relevancy in such a cloud of crap?
I think that only 100 tokens from those 13000 are worth attention that is why I am used to looking for coins to invest on coinmarketcap in a top-100 table. I choose one that is on lows or at least not on highs and investigate details about it such as what project stays under it, who are partners and developers. Usually, I also try to sort out the whitepaper and read a smart-contract.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a right time to buy some ethereum?. on: October 16, 2021, 03:49:55 PM
Ethereum looks very Bullish now and likely to hit 4K in few days if Bitcoin remains Bullish. Once Ethereum's major upgrade occurs sometime in late 2021 or early 2022, one simulation estimates that the circulating supply of Ethereum could shrink by around 1.4% each year at current rates of fee burning. Is this the right time to collect eth and wait till upgrade happen?.

I think that Ethereum is a good investment now. According to some technical analytics, if Ethereum hits 4000$ it will grow up to 5000$ very rapidly. There are many whales and Institutional investors that buy Ethereum now. Actually, Ethereum 2.0. is closer and closer with every upgrade and I think that it will happen somewhen at the end of this year or maybe at the very beginning of the next one.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The working principle of mining on: October 14, 2021, 04:02:42 AM
I don’t know much about cryptocurrencies, but I participate in simple liquidity mining on Coinbase, and they can indeed bring me income on a regular basis.
But I want to know how it works and what kind of risks I should be aware of. I need help from experienced people.
Should I continue to participate in mining or change to other better projects? Angry Angry

Coins that use Proof-Of-Work consensus (BTC,ETH) need miners who confirm transactions and add them into blockchains. But consensus that is more popular today is Proof-Of-Stake. It requires validators that stake their coins and get APYs for that. I know that coinbase is a platform with a good reputation, so you I think you can continue staking there. But again, don't forget about risk management and don't deposit everything in one pool on one platform.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: price of CAKE $50 realistic? on: October 14, 2021, 03:56:24 AM
What prospects do you think the CAKE coin has? It's worth $20 now and used to be $40 (ATH). This DEFI token is for trading and stacking. I plan to hold it (and stake it as well) and sell it for $50. What do you think is a good idea?
Pancakeswap is the most popular DEX on the Binance Smart Chain with many functions. We can do there not only stacking and trading, but also participate in lotteries and IFO and there is a NFT-marketplace. This platform is developing all the time and I also believe that its native token will cost twice or even more than now in the future.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with whales? on: October 13, 2021, 03:30:09 AM
40% of all Bitcoins are owned by just 1000 individuals.

This gives them a disproportionate amount of control over the market as they are able to dump them at anytime.

This is not to mention the high proportion of bitcoins held by miners and exchanges, who may have perverse incentives to ensure that as many people buy up bitcoin as possible and hold it for long enough for the price to rise.

Is there any way to deal with the high degree of centralisation that Bitcoin has?

I don't think that 40% in hands of 1000 people is a sign of centralisation. Moreover, everybody know that Bitcoin is the most decentralised one. But actually, whales on crypto market is a real problem as if we are talking about small market cap coins, they are really subjected to impact of whales that can pump or dump the price very easily and nobody can deter them.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beginning of massive breakout? on: October 13, 2021, 03:24:31 AM
Litecoin Cash is pumping hard for 2 weeks, do you think that's the breakout point?
It's really irrational, cause Litecoin is falling atm. Opportunity?
I followed Litecoin in summer and I saw that the Litecoin community was working on the adoption of different kinds of new fintech gadgets that were initially  intended for Bitcoin. Litecoin was working on the adoption of the lightning network protocol and applications for smart contracts and privacy. But now I don't really follow it, so I don't know the recent news. But maybe it is pumping following Bitcoin's price.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polycat Finance, coins vanish on: October 09, 2021, 09:12:50 AM
I had some cryptos being staked in the Pools department at Polycat Finance. After the site layout change, I can no longer find the coins. Have they disappeared forever and why?  Huh

I don't think that they have disappeared. You had better reach developers and discuss it with community, but anyway, if your money wasn't stolen and they are still in the smart-contract of this project, you can recover your tokens. Just find the smart contract of Polycat on Polygon explorer (if I am not mistaken, this projects works on Polygon) and go the tab "write contract". There you can find the field "emergency withdraw" where you are to put the number of pool you do staking in. And you can withdraw directly from smart-contract then. Please find out more information on the Internet.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Cryptos and NFTs are you Excited about? on: October 08, 2021, 03:55:24 AM
With the marketcap of crypto at near 2.5 trillion now..and I think that doesn't include NFTs right?
There is a lot of saturation but I am sure there are good projects launching.

Which crypto projects new ICOs or existing you are excited about?

Any NFTs you like or ways of evaluating NFTs that you personally use?

How do you stay on top of the newest things launching and hearing about them?

I have heard good things about Terra and Arbitrum. Cheers thanks guys

Personally I follow different crypto bloggers on YouTube and Telegram and I get to know about different new NFT-projects and upcoming IDOs and airdrops mostly from them. Now they are focused mostly on multifunctional projects. It means that this project includes exchange, wallet, its own NFT-game, marketplace and messenger, so everything in one projects, it is rather user-friendly that is why they believe in such projects.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Challenge with small investment in bitcoin on: October 08, 2021, 03:50:56 AM
We have a very similar situation as I am almost of the same age and have a small capital. Personally I do yield farming on Puncakeswap with APY about 50% in BNB-Cake and on quickswap with APY 70% (matic/usdc). It is said, that those, who don't have big money, should invest their time, so it is good that you learn how to investigate this market. I get experience by participating in Airdrops and ambassador programs.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When ETH GAS Price will stable? We paid 33.74$ GAS price for 10$ token transfer. on: October 07, 2021, 03:52:11 AM
As I know, Ethereum 2.0. is going to solve the problem of Ethereum's scalability and big fees. After launching Ethereum 2.0. this blockchain will be switched from Proof-Of-Work consensus, to Proof-Of-Stake. Coins that are working on this consensus have lower transaction fees, because it is easier to keep this network and validators get less rewards, so I expect that Ethereum will become cheaper and it will be easier to run small transactions.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any real stablecoins? on: October 07, 2021, 03:46:39 AM
Tether is used by many and stablecoins are a rising market, but are they really stable?
What makes a stablecoin truly stable and what can we do to assure they are backed 1=1 unlike Tether.
To assure that stable coins are backed by something, audits are organised. Actually, Tether has passed several audits, but it is still unclear wether it has this collateral or not. Nevertheless, people trust this coin and continue using it. As long as people use it, it will be stable. But in case of different officially confirmed bad news, people can start get rid of it very fast and it will lose its value.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What crypto projects best facilitate obtaining passive income? on: October 03, 2021, 01:25:51 PM
The best way to make up a source of passive income is staking or yield farming I think, but actually I can't recommend any of such platforms now, as I don't know any with really big APYs. I know one project called Goldfinch, you can have passive income in it if you invest in it. Here is how it works: there are different companies that borrow money and you can be their investor.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto misinformation is turning into an issue for people new to the game. on: October 02, 2021, 03:37:39 AM
I have seen topics and posts around with incredible amounts of misinformation. Mostly posted by newbies as their first or second post. Most people that have been in the crypto game for a while knows to take most "news" about crypto with a grain of salt. But some people that are newer to it might fall victim to fake information or fake investment "guides" that tell you to invest in some token that is, to an experienced person, obviously a pump and dump or scam coin. A friend of mine who is semi-new to this called me a couple weeks ago frantic, telling me that he had seen a prediction about some random token and told me that he might invest in it if the returns were real. He asked me if he should go for it, and I told him that he looked alot like a scam project. Its a good thing that he didnt put capital into it, because within a week of him seeing this article on the token, the website for it was gone. This is an example of how easily people that are new to this get tricked into losing their capital. Theres really nothing anyone can do about it, but I think the easiest way the prevent scams and slow them down is to educate people that are new to this.

Actually, some years ago people suffered from the lack of the information, and now they are suffering from too much information, unverified information that can be just advertisement from bloggers sometimes and people believe opinions of more experienced players and follow them. But we shouldn't rely only on others and learn how to make money on this market on our owns.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Shitcoins ticker api on: October 02, 2021, 03:29:28 AM
Hello,
Maybe somenone know where I can get Eth, Bsc tokens tickers like price marketcap etc api?

You are looking for platforms that provide with data. The most popular crypto web-sites are coinmarketcap and coingecko. Personally I prefet using CoinMarketCap. You can check prices, market cap, total supply, daily trading volume etc there. What is more, there is a good table of top-100 coins which I use to find new altcoins to my portfolio. Also you should subscribe to some channels with news so as to follow this market (Forklog).
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to create Ideal Non-Inflated money? on: October 01, 2021, 02:08:05 PM
Let's talk about this thing: How to create Ideal Money?

Why don't we call our hypothetical perfect currency, let's say, RESERVEUM. There is double meaning in this name:

1) an ideal currency of the future that must be totally asset-backed.

2) an ideal currency that is to become the global reserve in the future

Is it even possible to create such ideal currency?

What features should it have?

Please share your thoughts and opinions.
According to my teacher of economics at the university, the ideal currency shouldn’t be asset-backed. That is why he puts crypto above fiat money. How can it be? Actually, if we just agree with each other that this good is worth this sum of our ideal currency, we don’t need a collateral. Also, ideal currency can be transferred and used at the discretion of the person and mustn’t be controlled by anybody.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: new to bitcoin, don't know how to use on: October 01, 2021, 04:11:25 AM
ready to buy my wallet so I can collect from offshore gambling. no fees when using bitcoin so I want to understand how to receive and then turn to cash when I get paid out. I am an older fella and feel kind of foolish not understanding how this all works, but would appreciate any and all help someone could provide, even if just a website that explains it all, especially how I get these funds into my regular bank acct
First of all don't be confused, as you are cool in any case because you decided to change a bit your way to earning money. Secondly, you can't use a bank account for crypto. You need a cold (off-line like ledger) or hot wallet (online like trust wallet). To get Bitcoin you can use an exchange (Binance, Huobi etc) or use a P2P platform (BestChange).
