1  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-23] The Wolf of Wall Street Thinks Some ICOs Are 'The Biggest Scam Ever on: November 06, 2017, 10:41:05 PM
Are ICO tokens are a scam!?  That is reason why fraudsters became smarter over this year 2017.  At the moment on a current market - very easy!

First the investors should ask themselves and try to get that info for comparing that with marketing budget of ICO. If marketing budget is larger or comparable with the budget to get a product done.

Second ask yourself why these guys don’t do the project, launch it, and then do an ICO. Sometimes there is an answer (product has competitors which it will need to compete with, strong legal support is required, etc), but in most cases it will reveal that people there are for easy money and nothing more than this.

Of course most ICOs are scams and most cryptocurrencies (other than Bitcoin, “altcoins”) are shit coins. Some ICO tokens are not a scam. However, it is a sign that at least one savvy VC does not consider all ICOs a scam.  Some investors may be more books smart but what matters in investing is returns and risk. You can’t just guess right. You have to make bets.
2  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russia will regulate cryptourrencies on: November 06, 2017, 01:33:28 AM
Putin has aways been interested in Bitcoin. Ever since it went mainstream, he knew Russia would be amongst the top countries in the crypto community.

Do you know the TV tower in the city Ekaterinburg, Russia was proposed to be turned into a mining farm. A resident of Ekaterinburg wrote a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a proposal to convert an unfinished TV tower in the city center to a giant mining farm (while the largest farm in the country looks like this). The author of the letter says that he has a working scheme of the farm, but he can not get permission from the local authorities. The idea of appealing to the President with the author of the letter of Yaroslav Shirshikov ripened after he heard from Putin's Press secretary, Mr. Peskov, that the President Vladimir Putin was "sick" with the digital economy.

We will see if the idea becomes successful.  Wink

I noticed if Jamie Dimon says something negative like a "fraud" about crypto currency BTC is always increasing. Jamie would fire an employee for trading Bitcoin "in a second" for their stupidity.  Ironically her daughter already traded Bitcoin. So it is time to trade BTC!

10  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange Market on: October 17, 2017, 11:38:51 PM
I have calculated it is very impressive. For example you buy EUR at American bank Citibank at high rate then spend it in Europe. That can be replacing by BTC at lower rate and save some money.  You can check it and will be expressed.

13  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen if Bitcoin became a legal currency? on: October 17, 2017, 10:52:48 PM
I remember US dollar was illegal currency in former the Soviet Union until 1993. That time US dollar holder Soviet resident would be put to jail. It is hardly believe but it is true. Now BTC is becoming legal in Japan. Then other countries would legal it... The history wheel.

Of course! For example official exchange rate of banks is very highly. If small business imports the goods for BTC they would setup less prices for selling them to consumers. So consumers will save some money and pay more goods.
