This looks very scammy.
Their ICO stats are stuck on 24,621 ETH / 85 % and they are listed on exchanges where the token is traded for 5-6x of the ICO value. (e.g IDEX) Also I can't find an end date for their ICO on their site.
The fact that you don't have to pass the KYC before you can send them tokens also doesn't add trust to me. Of course they are stating that in the event of a not successful process they refund the tokens.
Are there legit ICO's which handle KYC like this these days? (its been a while since I participated in them)

Thanks for the warning. This should be on site 1 of the board not on 3-4.

If you are located in Europe your best option is still TenX but outside their cards won't work much longer. They have some problems with their card issuer and from 16th of October all cards outside Europe will stop to work.
Of course they are trying to solve this by getting a new issuer and applying for a bank license themselve but this could take a while.

Never had some problem there but I usually transfer my coins out of it after I did a trade.

Airdrop no relation with scam. In fact, airdrop means we accept. We don't invest anything in it, meaning absolutely no money we throw at them. Airdrop is an including marketing strategy for me.
Well there airdrop as instrument is no scam, I agree with you! ( That is what this thread learned me). The question is can it be abused for scam? As long as your coins are on a wallet or address of yours and you don't invest additional money they can't scam you. But if they ask you to install some wallet of theirs for staking or some other reasons you should be careful. This software could be the scam and infect you computer.

There will be many blockchains in the future.
Having everything on one blockchain is not logical.
So bitcoin will exist, eth will exist, etc will exist, many more will exist.
Literally, you can have thousands private blockchains at the end.
Why? Specialization and economies of scale balance each other. Commoditized processes need scale, injovation and niche needs specialization.
Dcorp/iconomi/zencash/aeternity/wagerr/gnosis/sia/golem/crown etc. alm have a reason to exist.
I have to agree. There are a lot of different ways to implement and use a blockchain and thats what we see at the moment with all this new coins. But of course a lot of them will be gone in a few years because the company/project behind it just didn't make it. Most Altcoins are more like a share to me than a currency.

So, I noticed I got some free ERC20 tokens. I went to BCT to read about it and halfway through this topic I got angry, because I spent some amount of my precious time researching some useless bonus tokens for the ICO I never heard about. I was going to demand a gratification for my wasted time from the dev, but as I read page after page, the discussion has evolved into a comedy of shitstorm. I had a good laugh, so my time was not completely squandered. Still, I have a feeling that the best part is still about to happen, so I'll watch that space!
Totally agree. Without the nice Gentleman this would be just a waste of time

I joined REAL (real.markets) ICO and I'm waiting now how it is going when they release their BETA of the platform. It was well organized although the Ethereum network was blocked for about 3 hours and I had to wait for my tokens (made me a bit nervous ) I also wanted to join LINK (ChainLink) but this was a mess from organizational point of view but as far as I heard everybody got back its Ether after latest one day. Later I bought some LINK for a bit more than the ICO price because even if the ICO was a mess I think they will deliver and so far I already made some profit. Generally I would not put too much money in. My max is around 500 bucks depending on how much I trust the company. Of course its very important to find projects who solve a problem, have a realistic plan how to do it and have a team who is fully commitet. Too many ICO these days are just a side project of the key team members and thats a no-go for me. Another very important thing is the hard-cap and the distribution structure of the tokens. If the Team or insiders of the company hold too many tokens they can manipulate the price quite easy but I guess thats also a concern for buying tokens later on an exchange.

I'm trading in Ethereum most of the time and look for an app where I can see other coins related to Ether.
I already have two apps installed but as reference Currency I can only choose Bitcoin or Fiat money.

I saw a Update entry yesterday on Etherdelta which said that there are 5000 pending transactions on the Ethereum network. Half of them from/to Etherdelta. So maybe thats the reason you had to wait.

MyEtherWallet
pro: - no fees - doesn't save your private keys - you can easily store your Tokens there
cons: - for every action you have to enter your password again - adding custom Tokens info works in theory but mine where gone after reopening (just the info, my tokens were still at my address)
What most people misunderstand is that MEW is not a wallet which stores some information, its just an interface which give you the same infos as you could get from etherscan.io and additionally enables you to send ETH and other ERC20 tokens.

Hello,
I created a few accounts with MEW and for a better overview I would like to rename the key files. When I open them in a text editor I can see that it is basically a .json file so imho it shouldn't be a problem. That leads me to following questions:
1. Is renaming the key file save? 2. Is reformatting the entries to a more readable format save? 3. Is saving them with .json file type save so I get syntax highlighting? 4. How do you guys organize multiple key files?
Thanks for your help.

If you trade your Bitcoins to Ether first you can use Etherdelta. Its a decentralized exchange with no account registration needed. All you need is a private-key which you can generate there. Check out this thread for more info: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2201190.0

This is the place where ICO projects are released before they are listed on the exchange. Any large or small projects are there and you can easily find the good projects to invest in.
you mean EtherDelta or something else? https://etherdelta.com/
