1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain just announced the AntMiner A3 - 815GH/s Siacoin miner - Blake(2b) on: January 20, 2018, 07:34:28 PM
I've seen a few others mention that their A3s have already shipped. It seems like Bitmain is the only company that announces a product and actually ships it right away. Everyone else seems to always have a 6-12 month pre-order cycle.

Personally I do hope they do it. Get rid of all the A3's.

I'm still new to all of this. Why would Obelisk tell everyone that ASICs are good for Siacoin and then suddenly change their tone? Sounds a lot like Obelisk is just upset that someone else is eating their lunch. They only want ASICs if they're the ones selling them.
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Legit Resellers for Antminers on: January 20, 2018, 07:09:26 PM
We sell on Amazon and have over 500 reviews with a 100% feedback score. Just watch out for cryptocrane.info, they're a scam site that is impersonating us.

Can confirm - I've purchase from them a couple times and their shipping speed and customer service has been great. A bit more than I wanted to pay but I trust Amazon and didn't want to risk a pre-order from Bitmain directly.

Holy crap, I was just commenting on cryptocrane's other thread and saw this video of their D3 farm. Seemed relevant here.

I just received mine from you guys today... which means you shipped it yesterday and overnighted it to me? I did not expect it so soon since I didn't pay extra for shipping, but I am more than pleased! I just wish I had seen the discount code earlier. Maybe I'll grab another if you have any left and use that code.

Hey, I just purchased a D3 and an L3+ from you. I'm planning to report back here when I receive them, so I really hope you're not a scammer (I've been burned before).

Oooh, I have just the guide/video for you. This is the video that got me interested in these things in the first place. I assumed it was way harder to setup, but this guy makes it look easy. Also, I think he uses some of the pools you guys are mentioning:

AWP+++ provides 1200w at 110v   and 1600w at 220v

is dedicated circuts 110v 15amp breakers for each AWP+++ runing a single D3

or
220v with two AWP++ running two D3 on one 20 amp breaker    a better plan??

May I ask how you intend to deal with the heat generated?

Thanks guys... glad I asked. I'm think I'm going to try running some 4" vent hose from the backs to a nearby window.

Hey guys, I'm new to all this but have a D3 and an L3+ on the way. Can anyone tell me if running these two in a 12'x12' room without ventilation would cause the room to heat up beyond a sustainable temperature? The ambient room temperature is usually around 65 F since it's in the basement.
