1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO discussion on: September 15, 2017, 08:58:42 AM
Are coins that are already listed on exchanges before the ICO more legit?

Can't ICOs that are listed on some platforms that are not supporting ICOs already just do trading, like have their own users/people from the company sell it at a fixed price on exchanges that do not support ICOs? Has this ever happened before?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Question regarding ICOs and Exchange platforms on: September 13, 2017, 12:03:07 PM
Hello, everyone!

I am still new to the crypto trading and before I have chosen to decide any action I thought of a scenario that I am fairly confused with.
What happens when a cryptocurrency is pre-listed on a platform, that is not hosting ICOs, but the cryptocurrency themselves has an ICO?
Can they sell their ICO with a fixed profile through a user profile on those platforms? What occurs when something like that happens or how would the investors and exchanges react? I am not certain whether this is a discussion for economics or here.

And how do these ICOs with Smart Contracts and a fixed price even have the option to sell on exchanges with BTC directly? I am sorry for the silly questions and I want to understand how it works so I can know what to look out for.

Not all ico can be bought with bitcoin. Usually ico project team provide direction to receive payment from currencies like eth, btc, usd and others. Why don't you want to exchange  btc - eth for invest? And try some potentially high ico like airtoken, utrust, or minerva? Try you read the whitepaper and compare the three ico's. I think the three ico's worth to invest

So there is no direct way to purchase ICO's that have Smart Contracts directly with BTC at all?

Hello, everyone!

I am looking for some diversifying investments and I wanted to look for upcoming ICOs that have a fixed price and that can be directly bought with BTC on exchanges or if there are other ways? I simply want to avoid the BTC>ETH switch every time.
