1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1660 Super drawing power from PCIe ? on: May 05, 2021, 11:33:38 AM
Thank you for your feedbacks.

All the hardware is already paid as I began mining in 2017 and upgraded the hardware in the meantime.

I am also trying to understand all around what I am doing not just taking the cryptos. Wink
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 1660 Super drawing power from PCIe ? on: May 05, 2021, 06:09:24 AM
Hi,
I have several cards (RTX 3070, RX6800) and 2 x 1660 Super. THey are both from PNY but different models.
They both run super well, but on the 75W they draw, 50 w average is coming from the PCIE Port and only 25 W from the 8 pin connector according to GPUZ.

When I look at the other cards, like the 3070 which are also from NVidia, they all draw around 13/18 W from the PCIe port and the rest from the 8 Pin connectors.

Is it a normal behaviour for a 1660 ? Are is it an issue with both my cards ? (which would be a shame....)

Thank you for your different feedbacks.

Hi.
Even without overcloking I have the same issue...

I tried on 2 different computers, same thing Sad
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / RTX 3070 Gaming Gigabyte issue on: April 18, 2021, 08:28:53 PM
Hi,

I have a strange issue with my gigabyte RTX 3070 Gaming OC.

Sometimes the miners don't detect power usage but the hashrate is fine. When it detects hashrate, Powerlimit doen't have any impact : lowering to 35% or keeping 100% doesn't change the consumption to the wall (220w).

Also, looking at GPUZ, and when the card is reporting power, the power seems to come only from the PCIE Slot (150 watts from PCIe in GPUZ !)

Do you know what could be the issue ?

Strangest thing is appart from this, everything seems to work fine...

Thank you for any feedback.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gateless Gate Sharp 1.2.17: Fastest AMD NeoScrypt Miner, ETH dual, CryptoNight on: February 15, 2018, 07:25:43 PM
Hi,

I just tried your software on 1 of my rigs and results seems really promising. But I have something very strange :

I use cryptonight algo (electroneum on nanopool) and out of my 6 cards only 3 are working : 2 RX580 and 1 RX470. The 3 other RX580 are just not starting.

It's strange as XMR-STACK and Claymore work really well on this RIG.

Any idea why ?

Thank you for your feedback.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ Motherboard Spectre Patch Bios v1.20 Released on: January 27, 2018, 09:42:29 AM
It's not ASROCK who cancelled the update but intel directly. It seems that it's not as easy as they thought... and asked all manufacturers and software developers to stop the updates
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining farms for heating houses? on: January 21, 2018, 09:10:54 AM
So I can contribute to this thread as this is what I do this year.

I began last year mining in june not because of the boom but after selling my house...

We took a rented house heated with oil : I drive an electric car, try to have my company as green as possible (i am working selling second hand equipment) and the new house was heated by oil... no way !

That's where came the idea of heating with cards and making money Smiley

We are in the middle of the winter and I must say... The winter is not cold enough Smiley (I am living in France)

We have in total 34 cards working. I put them in different places in the house and it works, we have to keep windows opened.... (3 floors, 140 m2)

Now, there is the downsides :

-Choosing cards making the less noise as possible. For this, I have NVIDIA Cards at some place, and I found out that 3 fans or NITRO+ cards where the best for the AMD models. The worst ones I have are the RedDevil Powercolor RX580 which have good hashrate but make lot of noise...)

-Accept living with "noise" : yes ! even choosing the best cards will make noise !
-Invest in fans : fans is the solution : as the fasn will push hot air, the cards will be less hot... but it will also spread the air everywhere.
-And accept changing currency when friends are coming (actually my guest algos is Cryptonight on AMD cards and equihash on NVIDIA cards as they are the one making less noise)

Now, I must say that I am really happy to spend a full winter earning money with my heater (after having the investment bask as this was a big one Smiley but I am also really excited to get the new house built where the cards will be in a dedicated place and I won't hear them anymore Smiley I am now thinking how I will mush this hot air in the rest of the house., but that's another storry !
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gigabyte 4Gb Gaming RX580 hashrate issue on: January 20, 2018, 03:58:44 PM
Yes, sorry, you're right.

I am using XMR-STACK. The initial test was done with a monitor in it (as I found out that thos gigabyte cards couldn't be flashed, I had an erroe in ATIFLASH, without a monitor attahced)
I could understand the hint on 1 card, but not on the 6 of them with the monitor output.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Gigabyte 4Gb Gaming RX580 hashrate issue on: January 20, 2018, 11:32:33 AM
Hi,

I just made a new rig using RX580 Gigabyte gaming.

I flashed my cards with a custom BIOS and was achieving 820 H/S with only 1 card on the mainboard.

Now that I put all the 6 cards on the mainboard (H81 PRO BTC 2) each card achieve 725 H/S and I can't get higher hashrate.

Do you have any idea why ?

Thank you for your help on this one.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: dstm's ZCash Miner 0.5.7 NO DEV FEE on: December 29, 2017, 06:22:17 PM
Hi.
I tried you're version for 3 days. It works well but my hashrate went from 1.8kh to 1.69 on flypool. Either it doesn't work or... You take more fees !

Hi,

Since yesterday I have an issue : sinit timeout after GPU connection

I though it was a driver error so uninstalled/reinsitalled drivers, but nothing changes.

I then tried on a second RIG I have with NVidia cards : same issue.

In the sametime, Claymore Ethereum is working fine on those cards...

Any suggestion ?

Christophe

I found my problem : my ASUS RT-88U just got an update and was blocking everything from DTSM and Decred mining from Claymore.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Awesome miner stability on: December 18, 2017, 12:25:23 PM
Hi all.

I wanted to test Awesome miner so my Claymore miners are always on and to have a possibility to supervise every RIG from one place (with text messages and so on.)

I am experiencing a lot of instabilities with Awesome Miner with the message "interface offline" with Awesome miner still reporting to the pool, but no shares are sent to the pool.

The goal for me was to supervise, but with 4 or 5 times more crashes than without any external program, I won't go for it...

Any feedback on your experience is welcome.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R9 390 Mod on: November 06, 2017, 08:02:14 PM
Thank you for the feedback.

Strangely, I can't go lower than -40 Mv on mine, then the rig crashes.

I will boost the core.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / R9 390 Mod on: November 04, 2017, 06:10:41 PM
Hi All.

I have a few rigs and one with 6 x Sapphire R9 390 with TRI-X fans.
They are with stock settings and i am undervolting with Afterburner.
I tried to look everywhere to see if there is anything good to do on them to push them to the limit but I don't find any informations left.
Can somebody explain me what to do ?
I have another rig with RX 570 all bios modded on which I found informations, but for the 390, nothing...

Thank you for your feedback !

So we should go thoruogh all forums talking about them, to crash their business if they are scammers !
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Genesis Mining on: October 15, 2017, 06:56:58 PM
Hi all,

Is genesis mining dead ?

I took a contract in august, paid by credit card. For 1 month, nothing was paid (this is normal as said on their website for the first month)

But.. normally, at the end of the month, I should have received everything for the month and the following days.

ut I received randomly 3 paiements (I don't know why as 2 of them were below the payou treshold) and now, nothing. The balance is growing, what was not paid in august/september is still not paid and I have no answer since 3 weeks.

Do you have the same experiences ? Are they going down and I lose my money ?

Thank you for your feedbacks.

Christophe.
