The best thing is to split your funds and send them to the exchange where the coin you want to invest is being traded.

With all the hoax Bitcoins happening,
Bitcoin Cash
Bitcoin Gold
the next logical one will be Bitcoin Silver. So in January 2018 we will see Bitcoin Silver?
So I get this right, do I, all the hoax bitcoins are nothing but promoting Bitcoin itself. That's what they really do because other than that they can't do much.

BTC is a little above $5,000 now. Can I still buy it? Is there any chance that it would rise further before the end of the year?
I woulndt buy at ATH, wait till HF is done, IMO it will take a deep after, but nobody ever really knows, so do as you feel like. |

Hey guys and girls -
Thanks for all the private messages, sorry if I have not been able to get back to you yet, Ill try to do my best to answer everyone's questions.
ON TO THE FORK:
As most or at least some of you know, Bitcoin is (again) forking. There are TONS of articles out there on what, why and when. But I see a lot of people unsure about what they need to do to be able to get this new Bitcoin Gold and what it means for Bitcoin.
Without further adio' here are answers to the most common questions Ive been asked:
1. When is this fork?
The actual fork is Oct 25th -ish. There is a general consensus that this will be the date that the block 494,784 will be mined.
2. What the hell and why is there another fork?
The idea is that this will make the new fork minable by "normal" computers and generally be a faster, (less fees) version of Bitcoin.
3. If Bitcoin isnt owned by someone, who decided to "fork it"
Anyone can fork Bitcoin, BUUUUUT the new chain will only have value if the community decided to mine and use it.
4. How do I get some of this new FREE money called Bitcoin Gold?
Follow these steps:
1. If you have Bitcoin on an Coinbase or any other purchasing/exchange platform - MOVE IT.
2. Move it by, creating a desktop wallet for your Bitcoin and transfer the coins to that wallet.
3. Do nothing. Yep. Nada. Here is where people get confused.
4. IF YOU control the private key for your Bitcoin via a desktop wallet then YOU will have Bitcoin Gold in equal amounts.
5. Wait, so how do I get this Bitcoin Gold, do I need a special wallet, how do I find the Gold?
Lets say you now put your Bitcoin into your desktop Wallet with a private key of "123456789qwertyuiop". That key allows you to log in and view that BITCOIN. Now you wont see the Bitcoin Gold in that wallet because it likely does not (yet) support the Bitcoin Gold chain. You now have 2 options to "FIND" your Bitcoin Gold. Option 1 is to FIND a Wallet that supports Bitcoin Gold (likely after Nov 1st). Download the NEW Bitcoin GOLD Wallet and use the same private key "123456789qwertyuiop" you use to access Bitcoin, to access the Bitcoin Gold. The NEW Bitcoin Gold will appear in your Bitcoin Gold enabled wallet.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
There is NO rush to get your Bitcoin Gold so long as you have Bitcoin stored on a hardware, paper or desktop wallet where you control the private key before the snapshot Oct 25th.
I would wait until late Nov to find a Bitcoin Gold wallet to transfer to because there will inevitably be fake, scam, poorly run wallets that may expose you to losing your Bitcoin via the private key. Take you time to find a trusted wallet.

I would definitely wait. It always adjusts after a big rise so you will expect a downtrend after the HF. Wait a couple more weeks.

It's kinda hard due to the nature of blockchain addresses. You don't introduze each character one by one but rather copy it entirly so one wouldn't expect to commit this miskate.

Not impossible for sure given the rise we been seeing. But I predict it will have several dips till there.

It will moon because nobody is using it to purchase things but to store value, ence if people stop using it/trading it will have less tokens circulating and if demand keeps at this pace price would go up big time. Kinda whats happening in the last months.

Asset, storage of value. To become a currency needs to be easily accessible, tradable and used to acquire every type of goods with ease.

What is the general consensus about the price after the hardfork (Bitcoin gold or the more serious 2x fork)? I usually buy small amounts every few weeks - are people expecting big dips in price after these forks, and should I wait for these dips to buy, or is it better to buy sooner to get the freecoins that come with the forks?

I can confirm it just was able to claim my signature bounty , all is working like before ! good work ! how to claim our bountiy rewards? i thought it will be automatically after the airdrops end yes, the distribution is automatic after the airdrop ends.. Which logo you chosen from the logo competition? I'm writing a press and need to know which logo to use. it hasnt been announced yet I know it hasnt been annouced yet, thats what I was asking.. Now its time for logo #8 friends come to play and produce several straight votes. Competition between brothehoods #8 and #23 is fierce.
Logo #34 and #14 which are clearly the 2 best ones will be sacrificed for a small prize to a guy and compromise the entire project with an ugly logo.
