1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Alt coin portfolio feedback. on: February 04, 2018, 07:23:04 PM
Other than having my IOTA stolen earlier, which sucks, but lesson learned, don’t generate a seed online (lazy idiot), I’m looking to get some community feedback on my alt selection.

These are all medium to long term holds as I’m terrible at day trading. Instead I just tried to look for solid looking (for the crypto space) projects that still had reasonable room for growth, kind of medium risk, medium return (again I’m talking relative for crypto, if it all goes to zero I can live with that, it certainly won’t break me).

Any and all constructive feedback is welcomed.

EDIT: The Etherium, Litecoin and Bitcoin amounts are just what I have left over from mining as I’ve been buying into the other platforms as I was mining over the last year.

The pictures below seem to take a while to open on here, not sure why?!

Kind regards

Broker

ALL OF MY IOTA HAVE VANISHED FROM MY WALLET?!

I opened my wallet for the first time today in a long time and my wallet was empty. I tried to reattached my address to the tangle to see if that did anything and nothing. So I've searched the tangle for my address and this is what it says?

As far as I'm aware all I have ever done is transfer my IOTA from Bitfinex to my wallet back in December and have never touched it since.

Does this look like my wallet has been hacked and the money stolen?? Or is there something I'm not doing right to access my funds?

7  Economy / Computer hardware / Very cheap S9 about to sell on eBay! on: January 28, 2018, 08:44:32 PM
Not sure if this is the right thread, so mods please move it if it is. I’m selling my S9 Bitcoin miner on eBay and it’s going for what I think is a pretty good price right now.

If anyone is interested in a cheap S9, then check it out below.

I also have an S9 hashing board that’s stopped working. I’ve put it up on eBay if anyone wants it who fixes these things

9  Bitcoin / Mining support / Two had working S9's, is combining Hashing boards possible? on: January 25, 2018, 06:02:40 PM
So I have two Antminer S9's, both are 11.85Th versions.

Now one uses V4 hashing boards and the other uses V5 hashing boards. Both of them have a hashing board missing each (the hashing boards failed and I sold them on Ebay).

Now I want to create one 'complete' miner again and want to know if there's a way to put three working hashing boards together in a miner (say two V4's and one V5).

Now I've tried just slotting them in and no luck, but wondered if there was something I could do with the firmware to address this? This is where my 'expertise' finishes sadly.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Does Ethos actually have 50-100 x potential even in a hard market? on: January 16, 2018, 04:48:54 PM
I only recently found out about Ethos and when I looked into it more I got really excited by the company and concept because for me it serves a clear use case purpose that seems to be the very thing that’s missing from the crypto world right now.

A mobile friendly wallet that’s capable of holding nearly every crypto, the ability to buy in and cash out easily into fiat, and the ability to send their own tokens to others for free through a social aspect of their platform, and their tokens have a clear value proposition too.

I mean there seems like there’s going to be so much more too which I picked up from reading their website, which this guy also does a good job of explaining in this video https://youtu.be/WM82WGbetl4

My portfolio took a real kicking today (apart from Neo everything was red) and Ethos looked like it weathered the storm fairly well. Now it’s just had about a 40% pull back from its ATH, and the wallet is due to be released in Q1, so I think now looks kike a good entry point (in my humble and very amateur investing opinion).

Just want to know what some of you guys think about right now as an entry point and the prospect of this actually being huge in the very near future?? What (if any) platforms would you say would be a clear rival for Ethos??

Surely gold is just an expensive way to park your cash?

Do they all have to be in your wallet? I have 1250, but only 105 in my wallet at the moment as I can only withdraw $5000 a day on Cryptopia  Shocked

Where would you guys say the best place is to find out about new ICO's, both in terms of what's coming to market and some kind of peer review?

That's right because my speculation is coming to an end when it comes to 5 to 10 dollars. So now the evidence wow amazing value  Grin.

Gents, hold your precious $ONIONs.
They will be worth more.

I now feel myself as some kind of oracle hehe.

Please note $ONION potential value is still far away.
Very far away!! It  might seem that I’m being unrealistic, but I genuianlly think that this coin can reach $1000!

I'm certainly rooting for you that it makes $1000!!!!!
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: January 05, 2018, 02:11:40 PM
Has anyone else used a Legder Nano S hardware wallet to store their Ripple?

I have and it's been fine, but when I try to send some of it to an exchange the exchanges tell me to include a 'Tag' with my transaction or else my Ripple will be lost. I can't see anywhere in the Ledger send option to include said tag, has anyone else come across this?

EDIT:  Ah, all sorted, 'advanced mode'  Grin

If network transaction fees got sorted out and the network speeds up, I think the price would shoot up due to lots of old BTC investors coming back into the mix that got fed up with all of the network issues and in fighting.
19  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Account Hacked?! on: January 02, 2018, 09:34:24 PM
Thanks for all the replies guys.

I really am stumped because my phone is also connected to my email so even if a hacker could get into my email account to delete any incoming messages, I would of got a ping to notify me that someone had logged in with a new IP.

I've gone through all of my emails, nothing, I just can't figure it out. I am going to try and contact Bittrex and see what they say. I was using someone else's internet as I was round a friends house on Boxing day and stayed the night, but even then I'm struggling to put the pieces together.

It's really just a very odd situation.

Thanks to everyone who helped me with this, I managed to get it syncing on my Mac, just had to go about it slightly differently. Looking forward to an IOS wallet!
