1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Announced the launch of a new Bitcoin fork - UnitedBitcoin on: December 14, 2017, 11:05:18 AM
Press department of APIBTC received very interesting information from the agency Bloomberg, according to which Jeff Garzik announced the launch of the next fork of the cryptocurrency No. 1 - UnitedBitcoin.

Jeff Garzick - one of the most convinced supporters and apologists SegWit2x.

Garzik talks about the following intentions: adding support for smart contracts, as well as support for the Lightning Network and the SegWit protocol. The block size will be 8 MB.

According to the head of the company Bloq Inc, UBTC is protected from replaying transactions.

There will be issued 21 million UBTC coins, just like the classic Bitcoin.

Most surprising is the fact that in the plans of the developers the release of coins from inaccessible or lost bitcoin-purses to direct the forkkoins to be formed at the UnitedBitcoin Foundation.

Jeff Garzik clarified that 30% of the above-mentioned forkkoins are intended to support other innovative networks: Ethereum, Qtum, Litecoin, Hshare and others.

All Bitcoin holders, like other forks, are entitled to the appropriate number of UBTC coins. Garzik insists that these coins are supported by a cash reserve designed to stabilize the exchange rate in pairs with the currency.

On which block UnitedBitcoin will be launched and when it happens - is still unknown.
