*** FEATURE REQUEST *** Hi Patrik, - Add login to AWM Cloud with AWM Users. My idea to add this would simply to have it as an option for each User under Security to allow cloud access. Anyone have good alternatives to this until this feature might become a reality? gusti_

Excellent But stick to port 8080 but don't use 3333 The reason to use tcping, is to compare the different nodes to work out which is closest. But don't take too much notice of the actual numbers it returns vs a normal ping West Iceland to uk.kano.is 58.81ms

anyone know how i can setup the 841 on awesome miner?
I got it to connect by: On the configuration page, where your pool info is, you'll see: API Allow(Default: W:127.0.0.1). In that box it needs to be W: the ip of the pc you're using for monitoring. But I'm not having luck: Personally, I am still tinkering with it. The 841's, for whatever reason, drop the signal. When that happens, AM sends out a disconnected alert. It reconnects, then disconnects, about every 1-5min. When I check cgminer it's empty, so I defaulted until I get time. I haven't tinkered again this week, I've been tracking remotely on it. AM is working, as it should, with ALL of my other miners though. As of right now, there's not much in the AM thread concerning 841's. If anyone else that is familiar with AM api, and Avalons in general, could chime in that'd be great!!! It needs to be "W:127.0.0.1,W:IP" (without the quotes) Where IP is your IP address looking at the miner. You can't get rid of W:127.0.0.1 otherwise, as you've seen, the miner will keep restarting coz it can't talk to my cgminer API. i.e. both the miner linux and AM needs to be able to talk to the API, removing the W:127.0.0.1 is why it keeps restarting. Some light reading https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer/blob/master/API-READMEWOW... have been looking for the answer to this problem for 3 months now, thanks guys =) So I can put the API Allow to "W:127.0.0.1,W:192.168.25.0/24" as well?

... I am using NY node, due to I am in latin America, and check the invalid and stale, please:
orker Name: Work Diff :Last Share Shares :Diff :Share Rate «Elapsed :Invalid :Stale :Dup :Hi :Rej Block % :Hash Rate JDLSantos.MiltonDLS002 7.061k 7s 20,653 179,599,639 5.34THs 39m 56s 0.334% 543,725/58 0/0 57,372/14 0/0 0.006% 7.93THs Total: 1 (1 active workers) 20,653 179,599,639 5.34THs 0.334% 0.006% 7.93THs
OK probably ping stratum.kano.is and compare to nya.kano.is If they are about the same, then use stratum.kano.is as your first pool and that should reduce the stales a little. Otherwise, 0.334% isn't all that bad. Not being close to any of the nodes will make it a little higher, but that's OK. Also, the Hi shares will probably not get any more since they usually happen when you first connect, and Hi don't matter. So you should see the 0.334% go down a little over time. We need a server in Iceland

... Thanks to both of you for your input. That small payout we got covers electricity and small profit... but it sucks lol.... hope we will get a better next week... or will have to sadly change. Well there's 3 things. Firstly, no we don't expect to ever get a 600% block. Though they should average, over a large number of blocks (10's or 100's of thousands), to be 1 in about 400. We expect 100%, but luck and expectation are two completely different things Secondly, if you have ramped up, your next payout would match your expected reward per block. Thirdly, if you do end up leaving, you'll still get (diminishing) rewards in any blocks found in the 5Nd after you leave. Can you explain ramp up? What is that My take on a post from Kano a long while back: The 5Nd "ramp" means it takes that long to reward your shares. It's not a punishment and The ramp isn't missing rewards, it's delaying them to reduce variance. Each share is rewarded in all the blocks found in the 5Nd after the share. That's simply how it reduces variance. Each share's reward is averaged out over the 5Nd after it. How do the PPLNS payments work? The 5Nd means the pool rewards 5 times the expected number of shares each time a block is found. So each share will be paid approximately 1/5 of it's expected value in each block it gets a reward, but each share is also expected, on average, to be rewarded 5 times in blocks found after the share is submitted to the pool. So, on the 1st block the pool hits when you start on Kano you get rewarded 1/5 of the value of the shares you submitted for that block. On the 2nd block the pool hits you get 1/5 of the value of the shares you submitted for the 2nd block plus 1/5 of the value of the shares you submitted for the 1st block. On the 3rd block the pool hits you get 1/5 of the value of the shares you submitted for the 3rd block plus 1/5 of the value of the shares you submitted for the 2nd block plus 1/5 of the value of the shares you submitted for the 1st block and on and on like that until all of the value of the shares are paid. That's also how you would continue to get payouts for the 5Nd ramp down period after you leave this pool. This is a simplistic view of 5Nd because it is also affected by luck. If pool luck was always 100% then each share is expected to be rewarded 5 times. If pool luck is better than 100%, then the average share reward will be better than 5 times. (Love it when it hits 10-12 times!) If pool luck is worse than 100%, then the average share reward will be less than 5 times. The 5Nd really helps you out if your miners go down for a couple of hours or are down for a day. You would continue to be rewarded if the pool hit a block while you were down. I've seen pools where you would get nothing out of a block if you were down for just an hour or so when the block was hit. Thanks for the explanation, I kinda understand it now

I was wondering how everyone else's T9 are doing? I have 4 and they were all working great until about 2 weeks ago when an IO board on one of them went out. Bitmain didn't reply to any of my support request until yesterday which was by surprise 181 days after shipping! Anyhow I asked if I can buy a new board off of them as I figured it would be faster than going through warranty anyhow and they said they're out of stock and will let me know when they'll come back into stock. Does anybody have a T9 which they're selling parts out of? If so I'll be willing to buy your IO board from you.
Technically, because you reported the fault before 180 days, you should still have the right for warranty. You have no influence for they to answer late, so it is only right that you get your warranty repair. Seams to be a policy to answer emails/tickets AFTER the warranty is out, saying "sorry, we can't help you". It is annoying.

I need to get this done at a new location in WA. This was a quote from my first electrician. The outlets are installed within 10-15 feet from the breaker box. Electrician provides conduits, wiring, breakers and labor. I bought the outlets and outlet boxes myself
Job Description: $7,350.00 + sales tax = $8000
Provide labor and materials to install (10) dedicated 50 amp circuits to the upstairs space from the panel to dedicated outlets. All work will be in 3/4 inch and 1/2 EMT surface mounted to the sheet rock. Owner will provide the outlets.
has anyone done something similar at this price ? or should i continue shopping around ? $8000 seems a tad high considering parts would not even reach $500
Thanks!!
No, I am an electrician and charge 120 an hour, thats way to much. If an electrician has too much to do, and maybe doesn't want the project, he will propose a high number. A polite way to blow you off

Looking for a bit of advice. My A3 antminer is only arriving tomorrow-the joys of living on the western edge of Europe!
Now the real pain is that I've found out today that bitmain only dispatched the Apw3++ psu today (despite numerous tickets requesting that both the psu and miner be shipped together). Anyway I'm looking at another 10 days or so before the psu arrives. Not great.
I have a Corsair HX1000i psu (i.e. 1000W) running on my ethereum rig. My question is, would it possible to use this psu on the antminer a3 and underclock the A3 until the Apw++ arrives? Any advice welcome!
Get a compatible PSU from Ebay/Marktplaats/Amazon and sell your new AWP3++ when it arrives? Thanks, yeah the problem with that, where I'm based (Ireland), the quickest I can get a 1600W psu delivered from Amazon.co.uk is about 1 week. I can't find any suitable psu that I can pick up locally quickly Gosh, thats bad. I do have a few spare AWP++ if you're in Iceland that I could loan you
