1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ㉫ ENJIN COIN [OCT 3] Smart Gaming Currency + Virtual Goods Platform on: October 04, 2017, 01:18:01 PM
I got my tokens. I'm super excited about this project. I'll be spreading word of it and hopefully will be getting a Minecraft server to move to adopt it. Finally! A currency just for virtual items - and one that shows a lot of polish and promise from what is a very successful and 100% gamer company. This is right in my ballpark. I look forward to November. I want to see how the gaming community will start to accommodate ENJ.

Snow, are you a gamer? Do you see Enjin having value in the gaming community? If so, why?

I see Enjin having HUGE value in the gaming community. Sale and trade of virtual items in multiplayer gaming communities is huge. A good example of this would be Team Fortress 2. Even though the goods in TF2 technically are not supposed to be traded for real money - the selling and trading of TF2 items is a huge deal. There are many websites dedicated to trade of items in this game alone and interestingly enough use very rare items as a form of currency with uncommon items as a fraction of that currency.

Having a legitimate cryptocurrency dedicated to virtual items for one thing would help stabilize prices, prevent fraud, help prevent theft, and even allow trading of items - where the company that owns the game forbids trading for actual money. This is particularly where it's going to explode. This will effect companies such as Steam in certain ways for sure. But it does NOT have to be negative. They just have to evolve. Steam doesn't want you to pay another gamer for an item he/she may have, because they sell that item themselves for real cash in the Steam store. So, gamers who trade in TF2 can only trade with another item of equal value. This gets complicated and theft happens regularly. If a gamer has a certain gun that I may want, but I don't have the necessary items to trade with. I can either A. buy the item in the steam store and then trade. B. Buy that gun myself. C. Buy it from that gamer with Enjin through a dedicated trading site. D. Buy it directly from that gamer via wallet to wallet transaction with Enjin. Enjin makes it easier. But this is grey right, because, now in a way I'm cheating Steam. If they evolve to incorporate Enjin into their service - they could earn dividends from trading while at the same time they could also use Enjin for contests, rewards, etc. Also by keeping control of trading - they earn their dividend from providing extra security against fraud/theft. My understanding might still be limited, but this is how I see it.

For many games, micro transactions will also be easier with a dedicated currency. So will trading of items between multiple games.

I'd type much more sorry, but I have class tomorrow and am tired. Tongue

In short: Enjin knows what they're doing and this is something even I thought about long ago (not as a currency, but pondering some sort of system for improved sale/trade of virtual items). If I could afford it, I'd be buying tons of ENJ right now, but I'm happy with the starter amount I have. And, this is my opinion. I personally believe if you invest into ENJ, you will be making a good choice.

Very well said. It always makes me more confident in my investment when I read things like this from gamers. I personally am not one, but it seems that every one I have talked to sees huge value in Enjin.

ENJ should be listed on a few exchanges immediately following the end of the crowdsale. HitBTC is the main exchange (bigger than Polo), there are other smaller exchanges listing ENJ and more will join up such as Binance & Bittrex in near future.

News in when they hit exchanges?

Where did you read that Binance and Bittrex will be in the near future?

I hope the change of day tokens sale will make more investors interested because in September there are many fluctuations in this market, especially the price of BTC has decreased a lot. I think in October people will focus on this project more because it has a good start.

September was a terrible month because of the China news. Moving to October was a great idea. With eth ready for a breakout, I think this will be hitting the exchanges at the perfect moment.

Heres a fun fact about how important Enjin will be to the gaming community:

Currently 6 out of 7 gamer transactions are fraud.

I am not a huge gamer so I was shocked to learn this.

The value the Enjin Coin will bring to the gamer community with their blockchain technology is incredible!!

How many millions of dollars per month do you currently do in virtual goods sales? I read that it was in the millions, but I'd love to know a more exact number. Thanks and very much looking forward to the ICO Smiley

This number isn't something we'll release, but it refers to the revenue recorded across all shopping modules running on the Enjin platform. The majority of these are for virtual items & game ranks.

I understand. Thanks for the response Witek. Very much looking forward to this. You and the team have done a fantastic job.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: September 19, 2017, 02:59:49 AM
I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.

Lunyr is one I like that has a smaller market cap. Seems to have a solid team with upside. Some other ones I like are Bancor, OMG, Factom, Lisk, and Golem.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How many coins you are holding stayed GREEN through this? on: September 17, 2017, 04:02:37 PM
Yesterday out of 18 coins, it was ARK, DAR, GAS, EMC2, and XST for me.

Today it is only DAR, and GAS that remained green.  I wonder for how long....

On a day to day basis you may have had some stay green this last week but as a whole, none did.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What to buy these days? on: September 17, 2017, 03:47:15 PM
What are the good coins to buy these days and why?

Gnosis?
Digibyte?
ETH?
DeepOnion?
Else?

Eth is the best of those choices. Definitely the safest. At the moment there are a lot of great buys though.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin falling again on: September 17, 2017, 03:38:43 PM
OMG, Bitcoin falling again, current price = 3866USD.
What happen? we losing money every hours. Need exchange BTC to fiat?
Who can explain this situation?

Don't panic. The price will go up in down in the short term but in a few years, it will be WAY up.

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China will completely ban bitcoin on: September 17, 2017, 03:03:42 PM
According to this paper china will try to block bitcoin exchanges and p2p network from the great firewall.

I like to see what will be the future of mining in the country if this happen and especially how this chinses mining cartel will survive. Is surprise that Jihan and Bitmain spent a huge stake of money to fight over silly things like Block size, blockstream evil etc and has not predict that something like that wil be possible to happen.
I will laugh for months if Jihan ask the help of blocstream to keep operating in china

Whatever China bans, I want to invest in. Facebook, Youtube, Bitcoin..
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JP Morgan's Chief Executive Jamie Dimon says BTC is in a bubble - Really? on: September 17, 2017, 02:54:12 PM
Well, there's no such base to the theory Jamie Dimon, Chief Executive (JP Morgan) used to throw such a public statement claiming Bitcoins are in a bubble and may soon burst. There are investors, traders, billionaires who have their money put into Bitcoins, should they worry?

I think NO. Here's a contradictory claim by a Wall Street "bear" Tom Lee, Co-founder at Fundstrat Global Advisors who thinks that "Bitcoin will reach $25k by 2022 as he thinks that Bitcoin is a hedge against inflation as well as he bases his prediction taking young investors into consideration, he says that these type of investors believe that Bitcoin is the best possible investment of all time. He said that there are not more than 300k wallets which possess a portfolio of over $5000 per wallet and thinking that Bitcoin is in a bubble means comparing it to those who thought iPhone adoption was a bubble too and were proved wrong when over 500k consumers bought one within 4 days of its release in 2007."

More about his prediction here - https://twitter.com/CNBCFastMoney/status/908454383968559107

Do you believe we are in a bubble?

Way too early for bubble. We are in the 1st inning.
