1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin future on: November 19, 2017, 03:42:14 AM
IMHO the long term real value in crypto is the utility token platforms and marketplaces that are just now emerging.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Norway lowers interest rates by 0.25% on: November 19, 2017, 12:52:19 AM
Negative rates on 10 yr bonds in multiple countries prove that the system of fiat is totally broken....its just a matter of time till it all goes tits up Smiley

I can't wait as it's long overdue.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin never replace Fiat Money on: November 18, 2017, 11:51:52 PM
Every single type of fiat money that has been introduced over the thousands of attempts over thousands of years has always failed.

100% of the time.

Over the past couple of hundred years, the global reserve currency (not 100% fiat) has lasted 40 years on average... now we are over due since 1971 for the next change from this pure fiat system to something else.

When guns get outlawed, only outlaws have guns..... this type of regulation never works.
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the reasons to support war? on: November 18, 2017, 11:27:08 PM
Can you explain what's the reason? You can say positive as well as negative reasons.
I think the most common reason for war is the urge to capture resources owned by another jurisdiction. For example, the USA frequently goes to war to secure access to energy resources.

The war machine is the policeman for the central bankers to keep enforcing the monopoly of FIAT money.

Energy is second to the maintenance of the fiat system.

This version of IKEs speech, like nearly all, doesn't touch on the untouchable central bankers choke hold of the world.

We should pay the military not to fight too...
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Negative effects of technology on: November 18, 2017, 10:32:47 PM
Technology is not always a good thing.

One example is with the children.
In the old days, children used to play outside with their friends.
Now majority of them are just staring at their iPads.

People become obese, with depression, pretend to be what they are not, lack social ties, become addicted to technology

In forums, social networks people pretend to be what they are not... they become actors  and have lack of empathy

This is a great summary. The lack of human interaction is not a good thing long term. The US military loves disconnected humans that fly drones around bombing the hell out of whom ever they'd like. Zero empathy need here.

China Continues Shutdown

China will close some bitcoin exchanges during September. China’s regulators have said  exchanges need to close because they don’t have formal licenses.

There is a document circulating as well that explains what exchanges need to do. One exchange, BTCC, said it will shutting down and users ought to get their funds back by Sept. 30.

Some exchanges may not shut down, including Huobi and OKCoin. It is possible that China wants to radically decrease the number of exchanges so as to better control them.

Alternatively, government may actually take control of whatever exchanges are left. There is speculation that government does not want to shut down the sector entirely. The plan is not yet clear and the government is in no hurry to explain itself.  Presumably it will do so in due time.
9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the Most Peaceful Countries? on: September 18, 2017, 09:34:10 AM
This seems like the typical cause and effect scenario.

I think the larger question is "why are more countries not more peaceful?"

It is all just a matter of time. It will be with China.

Chinese government run and regulated exchanges will be here before long.

There is no way that they will turn away from this future coming, they just want a large role in the way it happens.
