...

The site is still down. I can only access it through a VPN. I can't make withdrawals. No one has responded to my email I sent over 24 hours ago. Can you give us updates about the situation and answer emails?

Are you sure you can access it with a VPN?
According to Cloudflare the problem is with BetBTC and not with Cloudflare.

Therefore I find it highly unlikely that you are able to access the website with a VPN, if the server is down.

Maybe they have temporarily taken BetBTC offline in order to enhance the protection against
DDoS attacks?

I can definitely access it with a VPN. They are updating the front page with new sports matches everyday and they have users online according to their counter, which constantly changes.

Following problem is occuring last days:

Error 521
Web server is down

 Undecided

We apologise for this inconvenience, we are being ddosed by a group of attackers since Friday

We had to make a few tweaks on the firewall and that's why the webserver went down a couple of times.

The attack is still ongoing but without success after the updates we made (we don't expect more downtimes because of this)

Kind regards,
BetBTC

3  Economy / Gambling / Re: FAIRLAY - SPORTS BETTING for experts - highest liquidity, provably best odds on: September 20, 2017, 06:00:23 PM
I'm trying to lay a bet against a team. The odds on the red lay bet button say 2.25. When I click on it, odds of 1.75 appear in the odds box. Why would I every want odds less than 2.00? I wouldn't even get my stake back if I won. Does that mean no lay bets are available?

I guess I'm asking how to lay a bet.

When I enter odds in the odds box of lay bet, as a maker/taker, the order doesn't get processed at the odds I entered.

Am I missing something here?

Are there any forum posts or resources that discuss this issue? I should be able to lay a bet at the odds similar to that posted on the red lay button, but it doesn't seem possible.
Hi tbone. You need to be aware of odds equivalences. Examples:
Back @1.10 is the same as Lay @11.00
Back @1.50 is the same as Lay @3.00
Back @6.00 is the same as Lay @1.20
etc. Smiley

Hey guys, thanks for all the help and quick responses. I was really confused. Appreciate it. Nice site.

Formula for converting Lay Odds to Back Odds:

Back Odds = [1/(Lay Odds - 1)] + 1

2.25  are the odds the other user posted.   He posted 100mBTC at 2.25  asking for 125mBTC return on his 100mBTC stake.  If you accept it, odds are reversed. That's why you get only odds of 1.80.    It is the industry standard for exchanges to display it that way.

Ok, thanks for the quick response. That clears things up. So I should enter my Liability into the mBTC wager box, and not my lay stake, and then click Against.

Liability = Lay Stake x (Lay Odds - 1)
