1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [OS] nvOC easy-to-use Linux Nvidia Mining v0019-1.3 on: October 13, 2017, 06:28:44 AM
Dear gents, recently it appears a problem for my rig. After restart it enters directly in bios and it dont see the memory stick. If I restart it again the same story, bios again. I tried the memory stick on another computer and it starts properly. I tried also to put again the img on the memory stick. It did boot properly first time but after i restarted again the same story. I am using a Gigabyte GA-Z270P-D3. Do i miss any setting or there is something else?

Thank you!

Thx!

Yes, Im sure. I did put that Telegram on my phone and I receive messages but when it cames to gpu, temp... I have no value there.

It would be great to have the screen you posted. Im running the latest ver. 1.2 of nvOC.

I just did it. Thx for advice. Let's see if it will restart again and what would be there about temps, gpu's.....

Can you please explain what is the difference between the 3 types of telegrams? papampi, baliminer and kk003.

I just tried the telegrams "papampi" and "BaliMiner" and I noticed basically is the same thing with few minor differences.

In my case with "papampi" selection it don't show values for GPU utilization, temp, fan and power.

The rig restart the miner each 11-12 hours, only the miner without to restart the OS. I am curently mining ETH+DCR on suprnova. On nicehash (ETH+DCR) it didnt happent with the same configuration. Is it normal?

Thx!
Not normal,
Set telegram alert so it notify you if gpu lost, low utilization , ....

And searching the sys log file I found this:

I see a warning 10:33 and arround 13:00, I guess 13:43:05 the miner restarted.
Can someone explain it a lil?

Thx!

Guys, pls help, what is -epsw/-dpsw from Claymore arguments?

 - Must I let the file 3main file untached with  -epsw x and -dpsw x ? Or
 - Must I put in 3main file the password declared in the pool account (suprnova) for the miner (-epsw poolaccountminerpsw and -dpsw poolaccountminerpsw) ?

Thx!

        Is there any v19.1.2 img file available for download? I mean to directly burn the usb stick with nvOC V19.1.2 and to not be needed to update it according the instructions posted before.

Can someone explain me a lil what is

GPUPowerMizerMode_Adjust="NO"

# Set PowerMizerMode
   GPUPowerMizerMode=1

How must i set it? Yes or No and what does it do?

Thx
don't know, but i've never changed them and my rigs work well.

Mine works great as well but i have notice when the terminal starts after reboot that warning appears with persistance mode disabled. I did read about it and I understood it is something related to drivers.  Just hope someone can explain what it really means.

Thx!

That's not a bad idea at all, but only trouble is when you want to switch back to old one, for that issue I used to have a copy of same code and comment it based on my requirements. Glad you found a way Smiley

Your idea is better and I plan to try it during the weekend. It takes a lil more time to implement it but after you can switch the coins very quick, its rite. Mine is just faster and it was the first thing which passed through my mind.  Smiley

Thx

Is it possible to mine DUAL ETH+DCR with nvOC_V0019 on NiceHash. I mean to receive BTC instead of eth/dcr.

If yes, can someone help me how to set up oneBash?

Thx!

Yes you can, that is coming in the upcoming update.

It goes like this:

Coin Name :
Code:
COIN="DUAL_NICEHASH"

Coin Details:

Please change the region according to your location; added it as usa but it can be eu or something else
You can also edit the dcri according to your requirements

Code:
DUAL_WORKER="$WORKERNAME"
DUAL_BTC_ADDRESS=$BTC_ADDRESS
DUAL_ETHASH_POOL="stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.usa.nicehash.com:3353"
DUAL_DCR_POOL="stratum+tcp://decred.usa.nicehash.com:3354"
DUAL_EXTENSION_ARGUMENTS="-dcoin dcr -dcri 40 -esm 3 -allpools 1 -allcoins 1 -estale 0 -dbg -1"

Add this in 3main at appropriate place

Code:
if [ $COIN == "DUAL_NICEHASH" ]
then

if [ $CLAYMORE_VERSION == "10_0" ]
then
HCD='/home/m1/eth/10_0/ethdcrminer64'
fi

if [ $CLAYMORE_VERSION == "9_8" ]
then
HCD='/home/m1/eth/9_8/ethdcrminer64'
fi

if [ $CLAYMORE_VERSION == "9_7" ]
then
HCD='/home/m1/eth/9_7/ethdcrminer64'
fi

if [ $CLAYMORE_VERSION == "9_5" ]
then
HCD='/home/m1/eth/9_5/ethdcrminer64'
fi

if [ $CLAYMORE_VERSION == "9_4" ]
then
HCD='/home/m1/eth/9_4/ethdcrminer64'
fi

if [ $CLAYMORE_VERSION == "8_0" ]
then
HCD='/home/m1/eth/8_0/ethdcrminer64'
fi

ETHASH_ADDR="$DUAL_BTC_ADDRESS.$DUAL_WORKER"
DCR_ADDR="$DUAL_BTC_ADDRESS.$DUAL_WORKER"

screen -dmS miner $HCD -epool $DUAL_ETHASH_POOL -ewal $ETHASH_ADDR -epsw x -allcoins 1 -allpools 1 -dpool $DUAL_DCR_POOL -dwal $DCR_ADDR -dpsw x $DUAL_EXTENSION_ARGUMENTS

if [ $LOCALorREMOTE == "LOCAL" ]
then
screen -r miner
fi

BITCOIN="theGROUND"

while [ $BITCOIN == "theGROUND" ]
do
sleep 60
done
fi

Let me know if it works or not and ask me if you have any questions Smiley

Thx for the answer!

Meanwhile i sorted it out in a different way. I modified the 1Bash file like this:
I selected NICE_ETHASH and there bellow on NICE_ETHASH in added some Claymore arguments like this:

# NICE_ETHASH autoconverts to BTC: ensure you update BTC_ADDRESS if you use NICE_ETHASH
NICE_ETHASH_WORKER="$WORKERNAME"
NICE_ETHASH_POOL="stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.usa.nicehash.com:3353"
GENOIL_NICE_ETHASH_POOL="daggerhashimoto.usa.nicehash.com:3353"
NICE_ETHASH_EXTENSION_ARGUMENTS="-epool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.usa.nicehash.com:3353 -ewal myNICEBTC adress.myWorker -epsw x -esm 3 -allpools 1 -estale 0 -dpool decred.eu.nicehash.com:3354 -dwal myNICEBTC adress.myWorker -dcoin dcr -dcri 95,40"   # add any additional claymore arguments desired here

It works well and until the next release i can go like this.

Hi guys,

First of all I want to thank Mr. Fullzero for this brilliant nvOC.

I just started to use it on the following hardware:

Motherboard - Gigabyte - GA-M61SME-S2
CPU - AMD Athlon 2100+ - 2 cores - 65w
USB 3.0 memory stick SanDisk 32Gb
GPU0 - Assus Gtx 1050Ti 4Gb Expedition
GPU1 - Assus Gtx 1060 6Gb Expedition
Risers - v006

I am currently mining NiceEth with nvOC_v0019 and the results are:
Speed is between 36.7 - 37.8Mh
Power consumption 217w for the entire system on the wall.

OC settings Gtx 1050Ti 4Gb:
GPU clock - 100
Memory clock - 1000 (Micron memory)
Power target - 70
Temp target - 67
The fans are automatic (Manual_Fan="NO") and they run in 49
Read temp - 66-67
Power used - 63-64

OC settings for Gtx 1060 6Gb:
GPU clock - 100
Memory clock - 1000 (Micron memory)
Power target - 100
Temp target - 67
The fans are automatic (Manual_Fan="NO") and they run in 43
Read temp - 66-67
Power used - 98-100

Thx again.

Guys, I am having issues unzipping the NVOS (nvOC_v0019.zip) on both MAC and PC. The file size shows 6,436,759,477 bytes (6.44 GB on disk), but when I am trying to unzip the size of the image is getting huge (over 250GB!). I downloaded the google drive version of NVOS zip from this forum. Has anyone encountered this issue and can give some advice? Thank you in advance!

Download and install 7-Zip in Windows and then unzip it.

I had the same issue.
