I get the idea that people want an 'authentic' experience, I just don't think monitizing is the way to achieve it.

Absolutely. I see Ethereum as one of the base crypto coins.
And with the adoption / public awareness of cryptocurrency (amongst the general public) still growing, I see ETH as a sound investment.
