1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone thinks that this dip is not necessary a bad thing? on: March 19, 2018, 11:47:00 AM
Dips are great, it cleans the market from old money and get new money in to push the prices higher.

The best about the past "dip" is testing who is the real believers in the tech. Are you more worried about the price or the developments in the space - eg LN for BTC (Love it)

It's been tough the past two months, but you have to take the bad with the good. I've sold nothing and is keenly looking at re-entering the market. Just need confirmation that the bear market is done, hopefully another two weeks.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of cryptocurrency on: March 19, 2018, 11:42:13 AM
I believe it is mainly the new comers that bought during the Dec, Jan gold rush. Buying into crypto without understanding it and not truly believing in the future. As soon as the party stopped they got out, the weak hands.

I agree the Nov - Jan increase was unsustainable but the future is bright. Blockchain is revolutionary but few see it. Only once blockchain companies start seeing the payoffs will the other start following.

Fundamental analysis will determine the next phase of price increases - Just my thoughts
3  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Conspiracy? on: March 05, 2018, 05:48:17 AM
Maybe it is a decentralized anonymous community that got fedup with the FED (lol) and created BTC.

BTC is code, it runs as planned, no need to manage. Banks is "people orientated" and runs as the people feel fit, and gets managed by people for their own profit.

So, code or people??
4  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Las Vegas Strippers Accept Bitcoin via QR Tattoos on: March 05, 2018, 05:41:05 AM
https://news.bitcoin.com/las-vegas-strippers-accept-bitcoin-via-qr-tattoos/

A Las Vegas news show has featured a segment on an adult entertainment venue in the city which enables its dancers to get payments from clients directly via bitcoin transfers.

Well I guess these developments had to happen. I just hope the tattoo is accurate. Smiley

Hope the QR will maintain it's shape  Grin
5  Other / Serious discussion / What coin is better and faster than BTC on LN? on: March 05, 2018, 05:39:16 AM
Just a real objective answer please.

If BTC's LN is fully operational and introduced to early adopters I wonder if there will be a market for another currency, excluding privacy coins.

I know we still have a way to go, but I believe for every short coming in a system there is a solution, no need to reinvent a new system
6  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What is the Upper Limit of the Crypto Market? on: March 05, 2018, 05:30:26 AM
Maybe we must re-look at the question. Not what the market cap can be, but rather the % adoption of crypto by the general public. As confirmed by numerous writers we are only now in the pioneer phase, that is <1,5% adoption of world population. The early movers are<12.5% so let's assume that will happen over the next 10 years the market cap may increase to $5T conservatively - just my thoughts
7  Other / Serious discussion / Re: The Myth of Cryptocurrencies Decentralization about to fade out? on: March 05, 2018, 05:22:37 AM
We all know the theory: Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are good because they are decentralized, and so on, blah blah blah.
However, as times goes by Bitcoin & C. seem to be less and less decentralized, as big whales become ever bigger while they manage to swallow rising percentages of the coins' supplies, and as the serious mining is concentrating in lesser and lesser hands, those few who can afford gigantic mining farms with cheap energy cost.
Decentralization is thus becoming a myth. We all can see how the cryptocurrency markets can be manipulated by whales (with their infamous Pump & Dumps) much easier than other classical markets like Forex or WallStreet, a further sytmptom of an invisible centralization.
And now the news has arrived of countries willing to do their own cryptocurrencies. Venezuela has just launched the Petro, Iran is planning its coin and apparently so does Russia - and I'd bet many more countries will soon follow. These currencies are all likely to be centralized.
Moreover, banks will probably launch their own centralized cryptocurrencies, and so will corporations. The future looks like a place with more and more centralized cryptocurrencies in competition and less and less truly decentralized cryptocurrencies, as Bitcoin & C. end up in the hands of lesser and lesser people - the super-whales. Which will be the implications of all this?
Your thoughts about?

I'll never touch government backed crypto, digital fiat, they can control and manipulate. The more community based a project and the fewer big players in a project the better. Will bitcoin become the new gold standard against which all other government cryptos will be evaluated?
8  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Boycott Coinmarketcap - allowing ponzi to advertise on: March 05, 2018, 05:17:51 AM
We shouldn't recommend coinmarketcap.com to anyone. They are still advertising ponzis on their site. They should know better! No respect for us or newbies at all. Right now I find this garbage site in banner at top: https://profitablemorrows.com/

The market will always be full of scammers, if you know nothing DYOR. When I first read Bitconnect whitepaper I felt sorry for the investors, actual fact I think they had a good run, I thought it will go bust much sooner.

Don't shoot the messenger
9  Other / Serious discussion / Re: CRYPTO IS IN AFRICA TO STAY on: March 05, 2018, 05:14:16 AM
The Kenyan Government (to the blondes, Kenya is a country in Africa)is planning to build a blockchain to support digitalization of their services.
It must be hard for some country to see that they are banning crypto and some African countries are opening to adopting for the future

Kenya is one of the most corrupt places in Africa, if not the whole Solar system. Bitcoin in Kenya = Blindfolded Money laundering.

Is it? Where have you stayed in Kenya to make this conclusion? how many other countries have you visited to come out with such a bold statement about my mother land?
i will just hope you are not sudanese.

I think African countries compete to see who can have the highest levels of corruption, bribery and wasteful expenditure. Which country in Africa has the most transparent, best run government funds that severe  / support the people and create an environment for business to grow???

I rest my case. Do you trust the corrupt governments or code???
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN][TWIST] TWIST : Revolutionising Blockchain Accessibility 🚀 on: February 27, 2018, 07:12:11 AM
I have noticed it needs quite some time to confirm the transaction enough times to become stable. It seems everybody is making 20 coins every time they stake, but I guess everybody has got the same quantity of coins at the airdrop. Would this number change if you are holding a different quantity of coins in the address?

no, block reward are same 20 twist, if you see 20.0001 or 20.xxx that is because of transactions fees, twist minimal fees is 0.0001.
20 = block reward without transactions
20.xxx = block reward with transactions (you collect small twist from fees)

That's actually a good point. Is there an addnode option for the at wallet, and nodelist?

I can only ever see 3 nodes, no matter how long I'm staking.
from where you got those peers? my wallet has a very connection and i couldnt find more nods to add there
about the stake performance, i noticed heavily reduced rewards since 2 days ago, it seems more and more wallets are coming up for stake lately

Have checked the transaction explanations before. Aware of the fact it means someone else beforehand generated the block but to have more than half the blocks do that, seems a bit odd. Also I have 30+ node connections so that can't be an issue either. Anyways will keep on staking.

well afaik it's pretty common on proof of stake based crypto. not only you who generate many orphan blocks, specially right now when network height so efing high  Grin

11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Technology and Human life..... on: February 26, 2018, 06:11:04 AM
Technology is beautiful, it develops exponentially and is only limited to your imagination. I believe that if you can imagine it, it is already created and if not we must just create it. There is no reason that technology can not do what ever we want it to do.

Techs is only limited to our imagination - think big and do not take no as an excuse.

We do however need to disconnect from time to time just to maintain our human sanity.

12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: will you save your bicoin for future?? on: February 26, 2018, 06:05:29 AM
Bitcoin will become an integral part of the world economy, and if you want to participate in the future you have to have BTC is part of your portfolio.

We all have the opportunity to help develop the future tech by supporting it. Why do you want to run a node if you do not get paid? To support the tech, and strengthen the crypto ecosystem.

Bitcoin will be the "fiat blackhole", bitcoin is going to suck-up fait like we will not believe.  I support the strongest currency - and that is?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh BITCOIN

13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: how to prepare for your death? on: February 26, 2018, 05:58:44 AM
The best thing that can ever happen to a person is to almost die. Reason for saying this, when you are at the point that you realize that it is the end you do a "stock take" of your life and the most important things in your life is prioritized, funny enough no work, no finance issues or anything else is important but your family.

If you get to that point you realize the importance of your direct family and the fact that you can improve your relationships with them. Once you are at peace internally and you know what you know, I think you can cross over.

We need to realize that the soul gets trapped in the body, and it is a sad situation. That is why they say you should cry when someone is born (the soul gets trapped) and be happy when someone pass on (the spirit returns from where it comes from)

Image the impact if a country's president understand and support Bitcoin and encourage the country's citizens to invest in Bitcoin. The country will be sooooo prosperous in a few years, no shortage of anything and no debt.

Damn that will be a wonderful place to stay.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am i late to buy bitcoin now ?? on: February 20, 2018, 06:03:56 AM
That is a common question.  I believe you'll be late when they start mining block 20 999 999, but fortunately it will not be in our life time (okay mine lol)

If less than 1% of the world population know about Bitcoin I believe there is still scope for growth.

Image the adoption rate if we have 25% of the smartphone market adopted BTC?? It will be massive, the $1mil BTC is looking to be more and more realistic and probable.

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: February 20, 2018, 05:58:26 AM
Bitcoin is better that "real money", Bitcoin is money managed by a decentralised infrastructure that cannot be stopped by anybody. The only way Bitcoin can be stopped is if the entire world's power supply is cut (not even that I believe will work because there are a number of projects that run on clean energy nowadays).

So why is Bitcoin better than "real money"? With Bitcoin you'll be able to travel anywhere in the world and you will be able to shop with your BTC without any currency's being exchanged for the relevant country's fiat.

Instead of having numerous centralized banks managing the world's currencies Bitcoin is a "single currency" that can be used anywhere in the world.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we help bitcoin grow? on: February 20, 2018, 05:50:44 AM
The beautiful thing about cryptos is that individuals migrate to each other, form a community with a common goal and start supporting the projects being the infrastructure in terms of mining or run a node to improve the overall performance of the network and start using the cryptos for the purposes intended.

Most of these individuals do it without expecting financial reward, but they do it for the love of the tech.

How can you help grow Bitcoin - support the cause, use it!

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin used by criminals ? on: February 20, 2018, 05:44:50 AM
If a criminal uses BTC as payment method he is clearly stupid and does not know the privacy limitations of Bitcoin. There will always be criminals, and they will always find creative ways to pay for their operations.

The crypto space have developed a few privacy coins which will assist the criminals but it is important to realise that privacy is not equal to illegal. Even if you have nothing to hide I'm sure that you do not want everybody to have access to your account.

Image that your neighbor can access your BTC account if they have your public key.

Privacy is a right, what you do with it is dependent on the motives of the individual. Obviously the best, and most private currency is cash.

19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin remain dominant on: February 15, 2018, 01:10:41 PM
Bitcoin, I believe, will remain the dominate crypto currency, but will not maintain it's first place rank based on market cap. I believe the ETH will overtake BTC in the not too distant future - "The flippening".

I'm extremely excited about the off chain developments (LN) that will increase BTC's mainstream adoption. It's simple, if there are issues or design constraints we must identify it and fix it.

Registered thanks to fellow community members forwarding the info. It's great to have a good network where everybody, across all walks of life and location, work together to make the cryptospace a better place for all.

Hope we have great times ahead of us.

All the best with the project
