I just wanted to post a follow up on what happened with my Genesis Mining ticket. On March 21st, 2018, I sent a threatening email to all the C-level executives at Genesis Mining (I won't post the email addresses here and they weren't that easy to find). Promptly after receiving the email, an Assistant to the CEO and Head of Customer Service/Accounting got back to me. On April 11th, 2018, they paid out the coins I had stuck in "My Pending Balance". And then on June 11, 2018, they paid out the rest owed on the contract.

It took well over a year for this ticket to be resolved. Clearly Genesis Mining is not a scam but this is not an example of good customer service.

Please DO NOT invest with them until they clear up all the outstanding tickets people have mentioned in this thread. I will update my thread when/if they address my ticket.

UPDATE

Three more months have gone by and my ticket still hasn't been addressed and I still don't have my coin. In the last month, I tried opening two tickets instead of one:
1) A ticket exactly specifying the mining day payouts I missed in April 2017. They merged this ticket with my original ticket after not responding for 17 days.
2) A ticket pointing out that there is money showing on "My Pending Balance of Payouts" that should have been paid on April 22nd, 2017. I was told to change my mining allocation and it would trigger the payout (which is something I had already tried). I did it and after a week reopened the ticket saying thank you but it didn't work. They responded "you're welcome". I reopened the ticket saying no it didn't work. They said sometimes it takes 48 hours. I reopened the ticket saying it had been 8 days. They merged the ticket with my original ticket.

Hi, Fibonacci21. I saw your posts in the main Genesis Mining thread before I made my posts. I can't believe they are doing something like that to a big investor such as yourself. I figured they were treating me poorly because my contract was for such a small amount of money and that they would take care of customers like you. You should add notes to your ticket with them linking to your posts here and hopefully they will help you out to cut down on the bad press. Best of luck!

I'm not sure what will happen in this situation, but if you did not receive the product that was paid for and it was purchased via a credit card - do a charge back. It's one of the very few benefits that a credit card offers, so make the most of it. That way the cost will have to be covered by the payment processor (or the merchant if they can recover it later).

Thanks for the advice, Fortify. Unfortunately, the terms of service on my Visa only allow charge backs for one month. Which is actually why Genesis Mining doesn't start paying out for a month on contracts paid for with credit card. Some cards like American Express allow charge backs much longer after the disputed purchase but they also have monthly fees to cover that added risk they take on.

No: I have a few tickets from February unsolved until now...

What happened:
I signed up for a Genesis Mining X11 contract on March 21, 2017, with a credit card which should have accrued daily payouts for one moth then paid out a lump sum and then stated daily payouts on April 21, 2017. I did not receive payment and opened a ticket on April 21st. It took them until April 27th to start my daily payouts. However, they never paid me the money owed from March 21st through April 27th. I have opened several tickets and they are now simply closing my new tickets without comment. This is especially suspicious behavior because if you look at the price of Bitcoin at the time they made each payment to me, I would have made money had I received the payments in question but without that money, Genesis Mining received more money from me than they paid out.

may they missed your ticked ....or its closed for the supporters .
Becourse my tickes until now was solved in 48hours allways .

I would tend to agree with you, felicita. I work at a place that uses a ticket system and if the devs don't work a ticket within a couple days, they are never going to come back to it without being reminded with a note in the ticket (or by being yelled at by their manager). It appears that in my case with Genesis Mining, the support staff is refusing to put a reminder in the ticket for the IT Department and it will just languish forever.

I opened up another ticket asking them to pay out just the money that is in "My Pending Balance". It took them two weeks to reply. They said that once a ticket has been assigned to the IT department, there's nothing they can do. And they closed the new ticket.

I signed up for a Genesis Mining X11 contract on March 21, 2017, seeing that the price of DASH had sky rocketed. After two weeks, my pending balance of payouts stopped updating. I opened a ticket and my payouts did not begin for a full two weeks after I opened the ticket! And since I was never transferred the first two weeks worth of payments (they hold the first months payments when a credit card is used at purchase time) I never received the payments owed to me from March 21st through April 27th. I have opened four tickets about this and the last one was simply closed without a response. They owe me about 0.075BTC.

I’m not saying Genesis Mining is a scam (I’ve had a Bitcoin mining contract with them before where they followed the contract precisely however that did mean I ended up losing money) but I am saying that if you are not a whale (invest $100k USD or more) they will not respond to your tech support requests. Definitely buyer beware and as always don’t invest money you can’t afford to lose.
