4  Economy / Service Discussion / Bitmain Black Friday on Antminers? on: November 21, 2017, 07:23:58 AM
Do you think Bitmain will run any Blackfriday or Cyber-monday deals?
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you going to keep your BTC on exchange during the upcoming forks? on: October 23, 2017, 06:23:26 AM
OK so what if you are keeping them on exodus or any wallet storing private keys. Some exchanges are going live in 5 hours, such as YoBit. The rest go live in 24-48 hours.
How do you redeem your PK's to shove them to the exchange? A BTG wallet MUST be released by the time the fork happens in order for you to redeem your BTG or am I missing something?

The reason why I ask is because obviously you'd want to get in at the same time as everyone else to either #1 see the price and if high sell, or #2 hodl.
BUT..if you store on your own Wallet and you have your PK, how would you immediately be able to send to an exchange like YoBit and sell quickly?

Might be a noob question but I can't fill the gaps..

i think bitcoin will really effect in Africa because 100$ can keep  families life for long time ( 2 months  )

Seriously? If I may ask, what part of Africa are you from? If you are not from any part of Africa, then it is best you stop giving assumptive statements. Except the person in question is an extremely low life that doesn't have a future, responsibility or probably does not care about living at all, then I do not see how $100 can sustain any one for 2 months in any part of Africa. I believe anyone who knows about bitcoin apparently have access to internet, smartphone, PC and all, and I don't see how such a person can live with $50 a month.

I don't know about Africa but another country off the top of my head, Armenia. $100 pays your bills and enough to get by. There are certain countries you can live comfortably as the price of living is quite cheap.

Can you expand on #6?

http://www.badbitcoin.org/thebadlist/index.htm I found this by a basic google search, would you pay to post/view on the site or just go here for information; ie., search the DB for any listings or names.

I have web experience, the CL idea and #6 are great.
8  Economy / Services / Colocation facilities for Antminers? on: September 25, 2017, 12:01:35 AM
Hi Folks,

I'm looking to colo atleast 10-20 units of my antminers that are coming up.
LA colo is pretty expensive, given the power is just a pass-on bill. WA has the cheapest rates, however not all their facilities accept miners.

  • Has anyone successfully colo'd any antminers anywhere in the US?
  • If so, where and how much?
  • Did you need to get a 1u machine to RDP into or remote into either linux/win to control the machines or can you direct access the machines via port over the web if they have static IP's assigned at the noc?

If this has been answered before, I couldn't find it (or my search sucks), apologies, any input is appreciated!

Thanks.
