1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is Bitcoin? ✅ on: July 13, 2018, 10:59:02 AM
There isn't any solution to keeping your bitcoins completely safe. Every kind of wallet has its flaws and it will never change. You should be safe as long as you update your wallet which is trusted and open-source. I would recommend anyone to use wallets which give you your private key and don't send it anywhere. Web wallets are the worst possible choice but they are popular.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you actually use Bitcoin? on: July 13, 2018, 09:50:19 AM
Unlike many people here who hold their bitcoin, I do spend my bitcoins and I'm proud of it. Of course I'm trying to save as much as possible but shops won't continue to offer Bitcoin payments if we are not going to use it. I really like signing and verifying messages. It's quite useful when you trade with someone. What a shame that it's not possible with SegWit adresses.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safety can not come to the bitcoin investor on: July 13, 2018, 09:45:35 AM
Nobody guarantees you that Bitcoin will be worth 20 thousand dollars again. Every investor should read more technical stuff about cryptocurrencies instead of investing blindly without doing any research. Many people lost about 60% of their investment and they are still waiting for cryptocurrencies to become popular. If you were more into this topic then you would see that they are doing a great job.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency or Stock Market? on: July 11, 2018, 11:22:16 AM
It was much easier for me to enter the cryptocurrency market and everyone can still do it. Stock market is much more complicated and might cause a lot of trouble for an average person. Cryptocurrencies are easier to understand but it still requires some time. People are too impatient and want to earn a lot of money without doing much.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Last call for those who will invest in low price for bitcoin. on: July 11, 2018, 10:30:41 AM
I have already bought Bitcoin with most of my available funds but the price is still fairly low. The problem is that newbies don't believe in Bitcoin anymore because its price went down about 70% which is a lot. Those who invested in December lost a lot of money and newbies are also afraid of this. They will probably regret this latter but it will be an important lesson for them.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to move on, and ignore the BTC !!! on: July 10, 2018, 12:29:44 PM
Don't be crazy, we should not leave Bitcoin. There are many people who say that they are altcoins which work better than Bitcoin because they are faster. Ethereum? It has problem with high fees because of large amount of ICOs going on. Iota? It's an experiment which does not work well, problem with transactions. Ripple? Do you really want to go back to centralized banking?
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Frustrates You Most When Using Bitcoin? on: July 10, 2018, 11:49:12 AM
The time you spend to do transaction with bitcoin is time consuming which is frustrating.

10 minutes is not that much especially if you compare it with for example bank transfers which can take a few hours or days if you are sending a transfer to another country. Lightning Network transactions are instant and much cheaper than normal ones but I doubt that an ordinary person would understand how it works in the current state. It's a matter of time.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should stay off from market prediction on: July 10, 2018, 10:40:55 AM
I completely ignore any kind of market predictions, even positive ones. People change their mind too often and I hate when someone does so when there is an occasion. There are so many different opinions that no one should take them seriously. Cryptocurrencies are relatively new and no one knows what is going to happen to them. I'm positive about their future.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the opportunities we have in blockchain? on: July 10, 2018, 09:42:26 AM
Some people are trying to force Blockchain everywhere but we have to remember that we don't need it for every single thing. The Internet was infact decentralized but it was impossible to keep it like that due to size. I doubt that we will ever switch to decentralized Internet, maybe if governments start to regulate it heavily then it might be possible.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption can save lives now! on: July 10, 2018, 09:19:39 AM
yes with less cash there will be lesser cash robberies and death, but eventually this criminals will adpat, and may target that are openly involved in bitcoin transactions like maybe a store that says it accepts bitcoin

People will still mug others. They would still your phone because they would know that you had a Bitcoin wallet installed on your smartphone. Fake stores are already a thing, mostly on the Internet and many people got scammed in a such way.

The biggest advantage is that we won't need ATMs and banks where you can deposit and withdraw money. Less risk for people who work there.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't you think we should use BTC as a medium instead of capital gain ? on: July 09, 2018, 09:07:48 AM
We should start considering Bitcoin as a currency rather than a long-term investment which will generate profit. To generate profit, Bitcoin will have to become popular thanks to being widely accepted and needed. Too many people focus only on the price and complain about it all the time. I'm fed up with it, I hope that people will change their attitude.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: INDIA KEEPS BAN IN PLACE,ANY THOUGHTS? on: July 09, 2018, 08:42:09 AM
What a shame that India doesn't want to support cryptocurrencies. They are a huge market which has a huge influence on Bitcoin price. Is there any particular reason why their court decided to allow banks to block accounts of people who buy and sell cryptocurrencies? It's ridiculous that you can't spend your money on whatever you want.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GOOD NEWS!!! South Korea on BITCOIN on: July 09, 2018, 08:12:26 AM
That's some good news. If South Korea decided to restrict Bitcoin then it would be disastrous. There are many investors in Asia which seem to understand the potential of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I don't understand why would they change their policy. People investing in cryptocurrencies and living in South Korea would be probably mad at the government because of the sudden change.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I never sold my First bitcoin. Are you also emotionally bound to bitcoin? on: July 09, 2018, 07:45:46 AM
Yes. I'm emotionally bound to my bitcoins and many people know about it. It could be considered as some kind of addiction. I obviously try to spend some of bitcoins from time to time but I don't do it often. I'm waiting for the price to be much higher than today but I guess that it will be still difficult for me to spend BTC which I have been keeping for years.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodlers will not change the world on: July 06, 2018, 11:37:27 AM
Most of our community is focused only on potential financial gains. Very few care about the technology or how the future of Bitcoin will look like. The most important thing for such people is profit. People who use Bitcoin as a currency help it to succeed. I'm also a hodler but I try to encourage others to use Bitcoin and I do it between friends if they or I owe them money.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin price can be manipulate by the others? on: July 06, 2018, 09:26:43 AM
Whales started to play with Bitcoin some time ago after it got a lot of attention from the media and ordinary people looking for quick cash. Cryptocurrency market is not as big as many people think and it's fairly easy to manipulate the market if you have billions of dollars. There are many bankers who are against cryptocurrencies and want to get rid of them or slow them down.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Snapchat Officially Confirmed the Ban of ICO Ads on: July 06, 2018, 08:37:40 AM
What kind of a serious project would advertise themselves on Snapchat? I don't see any point in reaching people who only care about their selfies. ICOs are getting more and more dumb and I'm not surprised that so many countries and companies are trying to fight with them. There have been many ICOs which turned out to be scams despite huge advertising.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency ATM installed in Zimbabwe on: July 05, 2018, 09:49:26 PM
I'm interested if there is a huge demand on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Does anyone here live in Zimbabwe or was there not so long time ago? It looks like Bitcoin ATMs are going to get more popular in countries which have problem with inflation. I'm afraid that their governments might decide to ban crypto like in Venezuela which also suffers a lot.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does Bitcoin protects people from ?? on: July 05, 2018, 08:58:54 PM
Bitcoin is going to protect us from banks taking over the monetary system. More and more people trust banks and ignore their disadvantages. I personally stopped trusting banks after I discovered cryptocurrencies. However, Bitcoin does not protect people from their own stupidity. There will be scams and thefts related to cryptocurrencies and we can't avoid that.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you think of currency what will come to your mind? on: July 05, 2018, 07:55:18 PM
I haven't seen that image and I must say that I'm impressed. I hope that more and more organizations will support Bitcoin in the future. For me, a currency is something that can be used widely to trade with other people in form of paper or digital numbers. I treat cryptocurrencies as a currency mostly because they change they way money works. People need to realize that.
