1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Healthbase is looking for additional team members! on: October 25, 2017, 10:02:36 AM
Greetings guys!

Noticed this thread has been read 225 times but there are lack of responses. Again, we're quite happy to address the positive and negative opinions out there concerning our project. It is why we are here.

Also,

1. any members here who are super active on reddit or even moderately especially on the blockchain/cryptocurrency subreddits?
2. blockchain developers here?

If yes, please drop us a PM. We'd be happy to hear from you!

There is tremendous potential for blockchain in the medical sector. The other day, we had a discussion with another startup that is developing wearable tech that measures a person's heart beat rate, blood pressure and saves that information on a blockchain so the information is secure.

We (from healthbase) are, however, working on securing our patient's data on the blockchain and also incentivizing it for the patients and care providers rather than allow the medical companies to use your data without your permission.

Privacy laws in Germany are extremely strict and our patients who come to our clinics are also extremely aware on this subject matter.

Concerning the statements in this thread about projects like these being another attempt to scam - we can only say it is rather unfortunate that it happened and it shouldn't have. We cant comment on the integrity of other projects out there that have failed in this space but here in Germany, we are scrutinized on every level as far as this project is concerned. One of our code advisors is from the Frankfurt School of Blockchain and he is known to be extremely selective about the projects he personally supports. We are also working round the clock with clinics and other well reputed healthcare experts in Germany concerning this project.

Our point is that there are serious stakeholders in this project and while (perhaps) the other failed projects were not maybe held completely accountable but we certainly will be and for us - failure is simply not an option. :-)

So all pessimism aside, there is potential for blockchain to change healthcare/medicine and it is just a matter of finding the right way to do so.

While we wouldn't like to comment on Patientory's failings, we can certainly assure folks watching this thread that we are quite serious about our project and have on-boarded medical and blockchain experts/partners that are equally invested in our project. Of course, results matter and we will be quite active on this forum as we share with you guys the important milestones achieved.

To reiterate, we have lot of tasks for those who would like to work with us, so feel free to have a look at the work sheet attached in the post. We look forward to your applications. Smiley

Have a great day!

As I herd there was such a project called "Patientory" with such an idea. Are you any better? Or how does your idea differ from theirs? What makes you think that the project needs the use of blockchain implementation?

I hear you. There's no doubt that there might be similar project(s) out there working to connect healthcare with blockchain technology to advance medical research and ensure better medical records security but our USP lies in the following -

1. We actually own clinics and are working actively with patients and doctors around the clock. This allows us to test our prototype directly not only in our own clinics but also across other clinics via our partners.

2. Furthermore, we are actually incentivizing the patients and medical practitioners besides reworking the whole health software market as we think the current processes in place are legacy systems. Through our approach, every time a researcher requires access to patient's medical records (more importantly, these researchers or other medical companies wont be able to access any data without prior approval from the patient him/herself), these medical researchers would be the ones paying the patients and each patient's respective personal medical practitioner through healthbase tokens.

In fact, we are also strongly considering integrating some kind of push notification via an app on smartphones wherein every time a patient's record is accessed, he/she will receive a notification with a time stamp and he/she will also receive a notification when he/she is paid by the researchers and medical companies in tokens for their records.

And the reason we are using blockchain implementation is because based on the collective experiences gathered from various clinics we operate, we have discovered that maintaining data integrity and security is a serious matter for our patients. Most of them here in Germany prefer to know who has access to their records and how it is being stored and utilized by medical companies. This led us to question the current existing medical infrastructure and now we are actively working on integrating the blockchain technology as a leading solution to this problem.

I hope I have answered your question. If you have any more questions for me, I'd be happy to take them.

Hi guys!

Welcome to our official healthbase project recruiting thread!

First a bit about ourselves -

We are healthbase, currently based out of Bonn, Germany with many members of our team spread out across the globe. We have 40+ employees partly doctors in our own clinics; and we produce software for doctors so that these doctors can implement good patient processes.

Couple of months back, we started working on a concept integrating blockchain technology with medical research and we are still in the development phase - meaning we are currently frantically on our white paper, our website (we do have a beta version of the website up on https://healthbase.digital) and a working prototype.  Smiley

Given that we are still in the nascent phase, there are plenty of opportunities available as far as work is concerned and that is why we are here today to share our work sheet with a list of vacancies available.

Our objective, basically, is to integrate patient's medical records into a blockchain thereby ensuring data integrity, privacy and security. The key ICO model is tokenizing medical data on behalf of the patients. Of course, the data is shared with medical researchers and pharmaceutical companies only with prior consent from the patients. And every time, a patient's records are accessed by a medical research company, the patient is monetized with healthbase tokens.

Detailing the project and the team behind it, we developed a one-pager about our project that you could refer to on the following link - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwcat4dzj-FTelNvcVNSYXJsVFU/view?usp=sharing and image format (should the link not work for some odd reason) -

Ever since we began working on healthbase, we've found ourselves always on the lookout for talented individuals who will be able to contribute in whatever way they can. If you're a blockchain coder who can help us improve our product/technology, you're welcome to join us! If you've great graphic skills and can develop an awesome logo, you are welcome to join us! If you've great people skills and/or an extensive social reach on different media, again, you're welcome to join us! In short- if you've any skills or attributes that might help improve our project in any way, we would be happy to have you on our team!

We're open to any person from any location of the world. So please do not feel afraid to contact us!

Team members that would like to work with us will be reimbursed on a token basis, with the possibility for a long-term position.

I think we are just at the beginning so much unused potential, untapped markets but also more than that. I spent my summer heavily in the blockchain world in a big blockchain city. When I went back to school I expected everyone to know about blockchain which was pretty much all I could talk about. I was shocked to learn that not only did no one know what blockchain was, most had not even heard of bitcoin and when they did they would say "oh that criminal coin". The next day I freed up some stock money and moved it into cryptos I don't think I even grasp how much farther this has to go.
