This token is like parking a car in a train and call this car 'iDrive' and pretend it's a car designed by Apple ... and with all the advantages of a train.
Yet does this car have Apple's technology, developpement and recognition? No.
So does this car have the same value as some genuine iDrive? No.
Everyone here seems to be driven by quick profit and therefore only focused on the price, but noone bothers questioning the tech?
Beside that clever name exploit, this token may be carried by good adoption but this looks light from the informations we have now.
Well tbh I don't think anyone is under the impression that eBTC will have the same value of BTC... though it certainly leverages on the brand recognition of BTC.
I completely agree that most on this thread are focused on the crazy amount of profits flowing in, to the extent that zealous fanboys choose to attack those who raise very valid questions. As responsible token holders, it is also our job to hold the dev to account and support and promote the project. As you pointed out, there is very little information to go on at this stage, making it rather difficult to encourage and promote adoption.
Nobody wants this project to tank, if it moons we all moon and mega $$$ for everyone. That is, of course, the hope. But for potential buyers, ask yourselves what you are buying into? Is it the hype of massive profits, or because you believe in the spirit of the project and the pathway set out by the dev to achieve his vision? If the answer is the latter, what information are you in fact relying on?
