Hi mates,
I do have several wallets and i would like to add a Ledger to the collection too. I know all the debate with the Ledger Recovery thing and i think that is a totally irresponsible way to sign away your seed.
BUT, i do like the fact that you can connect Ledger with 1Inch directly on IOS. So now i want to ask you what you think of the following thing i want to do:
1. I get the Ledger and connect it to Ledger Live to install the ETH app (mainly i would use to store USDC and swap with WBTC on Arbitrum network, just like trading but not on CEX).
2. Disconnect from Live and ONLY AFTER create a Passphrase -> i do hope that will keep the new wallet hidden EVEN IF they find out my seed for example, right??
3. Use the Passphrase wallet with the 1inch app with Bluetooth on my iPhone, or with other Wallets if possible (?)
In your opinion and from what you mostly know maybe being more experienced in HW wallets, would that be a safe practice?
Thanks in advance!

Me too i have the Onekey classic, ordered it but found out of the vulnerability after (it was for onekey mini, the classic version was not affected as i know and you should of had the actual physical wallet to do some nasty things with it, not remote)
It is fixed, but what i do hope is that the wallet wont send any private key to their app. Is using the usb or bluetooth the same thing in terms of security? Or if the app/wallet has a bug it wont matter anyway?

Thing is i have Onekey Classic.
I upgraded the firmware and everything.
What if i reset it, create a new wallet and then only use it with Sparrow?
Guess if it would not touch their wallet it should be safe…right?

Hi,
As far as i know Unstoppable Wallet is open source. How would it compare to an open source cold wallet like for example Onekey Classic?
I know hot wallet, cold wallet. But...in case i would use the hot wallet on an iPhone that has installed only the wallet and have internet connection...would it be possible to get hacked in a way if only that would be the use for it?
Or use Onekey on computer or any phone, although it had some vulnerabilities in the past that were fixed, but none the less anything might happen.
Which variant would be safer?
Thoughts?
P.S Thank you!

I am not afraid of Ledger stealing the keys.
I am afraid that in case the government will issue different laws against crypto, then our devices will be locked and the keys will be in the governement hands to be returned to us or not.
It would be a perfect case to control everyone's crypto, to verify how much anybody has in order to pay taxes, etc.
So i dont think it will be used to steal it from us, only to control.
So yes, DO NOT use Ledger.

Hey guys, continuing the discussion a bit earlier i want to ask the owners of Safepal S1 about their experiences. I know its closed source compared with Onekey for example that is open source.
Also the downloads on Google Play is very high around 1mil if i am not mistaken. Do you know if anybody got hacked? I mean not from dumb smart contracts being signed , but for moving BTC in and out the wallet and having a decent knowledge on things.
Because what i see on other forums or articles is that people are being hacked when they buy/sell coins that are scams.

Thank you all for the replies.
I will use Onekey with Sparrow for now, i dont think there is something that might go wrong, i use it on a mac i only use for basic stuff and i am quite obsessed with some security on it.
Anyway the vulnerability was on Onekey Mini and you actually needed to had the physical device and put some tool between the security chip and cpu?? I think. Anyway acording to them it was fixed but anyway…guess no company is 100% safe.
Btw i also have a Safepal S1 but i wont use that closed source and everything. I guess its worst than Onekey 🤣

Hello mates,
I wanted to check upon your experiences with these two devices. I already ordered the Onekey Classic so i guess will use that for a while. But was more interested on your thoughts about these, will use them for BTC and to crosschain swap between BTC and USDT on different times, instead on dealing with CEX's.

Thank you for response! 1. Are you planning to use discord (can't chat in Telegram) 2. When next payment from pool?
This is a good question. What is payment interval to our wallets?
so what exactly should we expect in our wallets? what percent is the fee that we receive? i ask again for 100 coins mined how much we get? or for 10.000 coins how much do WE get?
So we mine for you thousands of coins and after you sell them you give as a few coins? For 10.000 coins mined on pool how much coins we get in the end in our wallet?
OK, i started receiving some ktc. But is very low compared to what i actually mined. Will keep under notice to see how it goes. I repeat: I received some payments.
confirm is scam. pool does not pay in desktop wallet and on exchange website cant make account.
i mine with ccminer and not paid yet.
So if i mine 10.000 coins in the pool, how many coins we will have in the wallet?
And after how much time the pool pay?
i dont't understand, how much is one coin and what is total supply that can be mined? Also in easier description what this coin does?
