2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] TokenArt - $ART Token : The Future is here! on: November 28, 2017, 01:06:12 AM
While I wait for my profile to get enough activity to post pictures, I thought it would be cool to inform the bitcointalk community that the second round of funding has been successful.

I look forward to releasing a proper thread for this projects in the coming days.  Cheesy
3  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Exchange - CoinGather on: November 24, 2017, 02:52:47 PM
Rapta is the admin of the exchange. He is in charge of all operations.

Is there any way to contact him? If it was a hack or something I wish they would just post some info about it. At this point I'd say very little chance of getting our money back.

Unfortunately not. On bitcointalk he logged in 20.11.

And also no updates have been posted through the Twitter account of the exchange.

Links are now updated and pointing to the destination. TokenArt devs are also working non-stop to get a beta version of the new platform released to the server before phase 1 of the airdrop.  Cheesy

Most likely it is, everything is good when linking to the site just the host is down. And I'm sure rapta has cold storage for a portion of the exchange funds. At least we hope  Undecided

I really thought rapta was more responsible than this. He has been gone before and always come back, but now users are panicked.

11  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Research: The use of Bitcoin among women on: November 23, 2017, 03:31:32 PM
I read somewhere that women in the crypto world are less than 4%. I am curious to see your findings.

I'm sure it is a bit more now. I was reading a few articles and came across this one that might interest your https://www.coindesk.com/new-coindesk-report-reveals-who-really-uses-bitcoin/
12  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Need some advice and guidance for a project on: November 22, 2017, 04:32:07 PM
I would recommend going with a token and a platform that does not take too much time to process a transaction. Being that you are looking to implement the blockchain to real estate you should know that those buyers and sellers look to process paper work fast, which is why they still use fax machines. As to what can be saved on the blockchain, depending what you go with, anything. Literally! Look into library credits and what they are doing.

You can later even add an investment platform for people to invest through the blockchain and than later get rewarded. I can share better details about this through pm.
13  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: November 22, 2017, 04:17:32 PM
Hello!

There is a status message of PureVIDZ coin:
Code:
No connections. If anyone has some nodes for this coin, let us know.

How do you think I can let you know the nodes? I opened support ticket but it's ignored.

How do you know it's being ignored? I'm curious to know

Because CoinInfo still shows 0 connections for VIDZ.

Is it in maintenance? Might be getting updated, and you should understand that Cryptopia is a big business so your ticket might have to get read first before anyone can update anything.

Crypto currency is a pretty good idea that is worth believing. The fact that it is decentralized makes it much more appealing and worth holding on to. Even with publicity coming out recently about Satoshi's identity, I'm still a firm believer that there's a future for BTC, and its present is somehow making baby steps towards mass recognition.

What publicity ? Can you provide link or info on what you are talking about ?

Satoshi's identity no longer plays a role in the direction Bitcoin is going.
15  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Civilian Blockchain Internet Drones? Has this been done before? on: November 22, 2017, 02:27:03 PM
Beaming Internet with Drones?

Idea like Launching 100 Drones from point A and landing at B, another 100 Drones take off from B, continue beaming Internet & land at point C, another 100 Drones take off from C, continue beaming Internet land at D. This goes and on. ..
Meanwhile, Drones immediately start charging by humans as they land. They are quickly positioned for take off after fully charged.

Their data will be hosted on Blockchain and their Control Center may be managed by humans through Blockchain.

Wonder if this has been done before? Will be great to see some ICOs lunched for this by anyone for just Cryptocurrency community.

✴Idea inspiration is from YouTube and a US company.

Pardon me for playing the devil's advocate.  But I dont think you will be needing a blockchain for keeping and storing all the data. Wont a database, centrally maintained and secured, be more cost-effective for that?

Unless your definition of a blockchain is different from mine.

You do know that a blockchain can store information? And for some reason I think it is more cost effective and secure to store the data in the blockchain.

One thing I like to do before I invest any real money into any coin is research the team. Don't get into the habit of buying into all ico

I think it will die one day. Reason is too many people are stopping it scaling properly. Although this is my own point of view
