Was getting about 280 mh/s on my 6850, not really worth it though.

Definitely agree with this. A full range of well-designed financial contracts based on BTC (futures, options on the futures, futures and options on the volatility of those options, etc.) would be absolutely awesome to have. Would add stability to the market and most importantly allow leveraged trading without the need for someone to lend BTC (as futures are zero-cost contracts).

Seems like it would be exceedingly difficult for an investor to hold the project they invest in accountable for the way they manage the capital they raise...

I'm a coder (.NET mostly but also PHP) and I've written a betting exchange that features esports matches (just Dota 2 right now, going to be adding SC2 and more in the future) that uses bitcoin. You can find it at esbex.net.
